Meade SylviaMEADE, Sylvia   -  Age 88, passed away suddenly, in the loving arms of her youngest daughter, on August 30, 2021.

She was in her hometown, Montreal, visiting friends and family.

Sylvia was born on August 24, 1933, a daughter of the late Irene and Sydney Bryant.

Proud mother of Sharon Meade (Gerard De Abreu) and Catherine Meade (Kathy Katsunoff) and loving grandmother to Bryant (Laina) and Catie De Abreu and great-grandmother to Kaden De Abreu.

She was predeceased by husband, Rev. Eustace Meade, and by four brothers and one sister.

She will be deeply missed by many other relatives and dear friends.

Sylvia attended the London Bible Institute (now Tyndale), where she met Eustace.

She graduated in 1960 and they married shortly thereafter.

She had a successful administrative career that started at Canadair in 1950 and ended at York University in 1994 with breaks for college and childrearing.

Sylvia will long be remembered for her stylishness, infectious laugh and her many contributions to the communities and churches where Eustace pastored: Fingal Baptist Church, Fingal, ON; Zion United Baptist Church, Truro, NS; The United Baptist Stone Church, Clark's Harbour, NS; First Baptist Church and Shiloh Baptist Church in Toronto, ON.

Visitation: Friday, September 10th, 4-8 p.m. at Highland Funeral Home, Scarborough. Funeral service: Saturday, September 11th at 11:00 a.m.
