Crane DanielCRANE, Daniel Brendan - Age 34. Born June 2nd, 1987 in Toronto, died tragically August 30, 2021 in Toronto.

Daniel is survived by his parents, Peter and Myra (Doherty), grandmother, Vera Doherty, his siblings, Trevor (Faye), Alicia (Tyler) and Patrick as well as his nephews, Owen and Harrison.

He will be forever missed by his extended family, both in Toronto and on the East Coast, as well as his many friends whom he considered family.

Daniel was a gentle giant with flowing locks of hair. Children always sensed his heart of gold and gravitated to him. Every minute in his presence was a good time. Whether working hard on his many projects as a carpenter and general contractor, visiting with his family, or relaxing in the company of his large group of friends, he lived every day to its fullest and in his own way.

Daniel brought sunshine to the darkest of days with his eternal optimism, supportive hugs, sense of humour, and great infectious laugh. He will be remembered for his strong pride in his Irish heritage and Toronto ‘West End’ roots and his love of all cuisine, as he was never one to miss a dinner invite.

In lieu of flowers, we will be accepting donations on his behalf to the MLSE Foundation in honour of his love of sports, and to Second Harvest as he never let a bite go to waste. We are comforted knowing he will be surrounded by those who have gone before him, until we see him again.

Take care, Dan the Man.

Visitation will take place Thursday, September 9th at Lynett Funeral Home, Toronto, following all COVID19 health protocols.
