STOOKES, Shirley Ruth - July 25, 1926 – August 28, 2021
Passed away peacefully, on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Alexander Place Long Term Care in Waterdown, ON, at the age of 95.
Predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years John Richard "Dick" Stookes (2014).
Loving mother of John Stookes and Jill Blanchard.
Cherished grandmother of Jennifer (Darryl), Cheryl (Trevor), Lindsay (Lucas), Jamie (Carol-Anne), and great-grandmother of Lyla, Nolan, Alexander, Cameron, Kai, Ashton, Courtney and Hayden.
In keeping with Ruth's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Crohn's & Colitis Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
