LATCHMAN, Estelle - On Thursday, September 9, 2021, at 97, after a brief illness.

Estelle Latchman, beloved wife of 57 years of the late Morrie Latchman, mother of David, and Edward and Lisa; much loved aunt of Annette, Marvin and Shirley, Victor, Gail and Bob Woskow, Susan Berrin and Steve Zipperstein, Candace Kopel, Peter and Bonnie Lipton, and Patricia Livingston, Eileen Robinson, and Nancy Sheffner.

Sister of the late Daniel and Wanda Grayson and Mickey and Addie Goldsen; sister-in-law of the late Phil and Sally Latchman, Belle Latchman, Vera and Harry Berrin and Mari and Irving Lipton; much- loved aunt of the late Donald, Rosalie Latchman, and Bo Goldsen; grande dame of the extended Latchman family in Toronto and LA, and special cousin of Margot Spangenberg of PA.

Estelle was just 20 and working as a junior commercial artist in Rockefeller Center when she met and married Morrie Latchman in 1943. Their loving partnership was to last 56 years.

She had a strong sense of community, and for many years headed the local "Home and School" parents' group. She was active in the Out of the Cold programme at HBT, initiated the AMI translation programme at MSH, and co-authored the Home and School Associations' 1971 brief on the Spadina Expressway Project. She appeared as a discussant on TVO's Saturday Night at the Movies, and was a perennial participant in book- clubs and HBT's rabbinical study groups.

Estelle was an influencer and mentor to many, a good friend and great company. She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

A Family graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021
