MAGGIACOMO, Antonio 'Tony' - Sept. 9, 1935 - Sept. 23, 2021 - After a series of medical emergencies, Antonio passed away peacefully in his home, with his beloved wife Janet, of 25 years, by his side.
Antonio, associated for over 60 years with Downtown Pearl Repairs & Restringing, was well-loved and respected by all he knew. He will be fondly remembered for his kindness and generosity.
He will be dearly missed by his brother Rodolfo (the late Lina) and family, his sisters Iole Pedrina (the late Romeo) and family, and Marzia Balestrieri (Angelo) and family.
He will be sadly missed by his sisters-in-law Paola Maggiacomo (the late Alfredo) and Mary Vrbanick. Antonio was predeceased by his parents Luigi and Maria and brothers Alfredo and Domenico.
A sincere thank you to all the Emergency Responders who came to Antonio's assistance. Thank you also to all the doctors, nurses and staff at Humber River Hospital and Sunnybrook Hospital for their efforts to restore Antonio to better health.
Rest in peace my darling Antonio. Your adventurous spirit and great heart will always be an inspiration. You will be sorely missed and loved forever.
Family and friends will be received at Bernardo Funeral Home, Dufferin Chapel, Toronto on Thursday, September 30th and Friday, October 1st. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private funeral service and entombment will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Antonio's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated.
