Brown LorraineBROWN, Lorraine Jean (nee UFFELMAN)   -  May 6, 1928 - September 9, 2021

Lorraine passed peacefully on September 9th at Credit Valley Hospital with family at her side.

Predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Stuart, daughter Nancy, parents William and Minnie (Hagen) Uffelman, brother Sheldon, sister-in-law Doris, sister Marjorie (Merle) Day, and brother-in-law Bill Hood.

Lorraine is lovingly remembered by her remaining children Suzanne (Ed), Barbara, Bill (Shazrina), her grandchildren Aiden, Daniel, and Ryan, sister-in-law Anne Hood, nephews and nieces Ken, Stuart, Mary, and Doug Hood; Laurie, John and Craig Uffelman; Marla, Nancy, Barbara, Ralph and Janet Day.

Lorraine studied nursing at Toronto Sick Children's Hospital; graduating in 1950 as a Registered Nurse, she was a longtime Alumna of Sick Kids'.

Prior to marrying Stuart, they built their first home in Port Credit.

Moving to Clarkson in 1968 Lorraine volunteered for the Alpha Epsilon.

Stuart and Lorraine were longtime members of St Bride's Church.

Family, friends and travelling guests were always welcomed to her home and many great parties held in the back yard.

One regret of the past year of Covid is that we couldn't take Mom on a cruise – and she wanted to travel.

Visitation will be held at Turner & Porter Peel Chapel Mississauga on October 4, 2021. Due to COVID restrictions, registration is required to attend visitation. A private family funeral will be held on October 6, 2021 at St. Bride's Church. Interment at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Bride's Church, the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Canada or a charity of your choice.
