PEARL, Stanley Martin   -  With heavy hearts, we share the news that we have said goodbye to our beloved Stan.

After a beautiful day with family, feeling loved and well, Stanley Martin Pearl passed away peacefully and suddenly on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at the age of 78.

Stan is celebrated as a loving and beloved husband, father, grandfather, colleague, and lifelong friend.

He was a History Teacher and School Principal, a biography buff, a tireless cyclist and racquet sports player, and all around mensch.

Stan had a heart of gold, an unflagging zest for living, and a commitment to seeing the value in each and every person he met. He will be forever missed.

A private cremation service will be held on the morning of Sunday, October 3rd.

The wider community is invited to join us for a Celebration of Stan's Life from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at HotHouse Restaurant (35 Church St). The venue requires proof of vaccination.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, please consider donating to a very special student award fund initiated by Stan's wife, Anne Christy.

The Stanley Pearl Award Celebrating Diversity (https://build.utschools.ca/stan-pearl/) has been established at the University of Toronto Schools (UTS) where Stan served as Principal from 1995- 2000, and remained active in the school community.

The annual award will recognize a student who plays an integral part in shaping or implementing the community's support of anti- racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
