RUZZA, Domenica - Passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at the age of 89.
Domenica has been reunited with her husband Ernesto, and her beloved four sons, Dario (Lina), Marcelo, Loreto and Tony.
She leaves behind her devoted and much cherished daughter Sue, her beloved grandson, Daniel (Teresa) and her much loved great grandson Michael.
Domenica was born October 12, 1932 in Castelliri, Italy, the eldest daughter of the late Gerardo Abballe and Santa Perna. The family immigrated to Canada when Domenica was 32 years old.
She leaves behind her siblings Rosa (Angelo), Pasqualina, Antonio (Teresa), Maria (Sante), Giovanni, Giuseppe (Caterina) and Teresa (Francesco) as well as numerous, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She will be missed by countless friends and family in Italy, France and in Canada.
Domenica was the very essence of kindness and had a very generous spirit. She welcomed everyone into her home and made them feel special and always welcome. Her family meant everything to her and her true gift was she made everyone who passed through her life feel like family. We will miss her laugh, her smile and of course her cooking. She will be missed every single day.
Family and friends will be received at the Demarco Funeral Home, Toronto on Tuesday, November 2nd from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 9 pm. A funeral mass to be held on Wednesday, November 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Philip Neri Roman Catholic Church, 2100 Jane St., Toronto. Entombment to follow.
