WORMERSLEY, Violet Carloline (nee CHAPMAN)   -  Passed away peacefully on Monday, October 4, 2021, weeks after celebrating her 100th birthday.

Vi (or Nan, as she was known to her family) had an amazing life.

After serving in the ATS as part of an anti-aircraft battery in WWII, Vi took a job driving a truck in occupied Germany, where she met her husband, Joseph.

The couple immigrated to Canada in 1948, and fulfilled Vi's desire to have a family and travel. She was an active volunteer for her entire life - from teaching knitting to young Brownies, volunteering as a teacher's aid, to serving as an ER volunteer at North York General Hospital.

Nan loved chocolate in all forms, visiting her local casino, and playing cards with her grandchildren.

Violet is survived by her three children - Joanne (Smokey), Suzanne (Brian) and John (Nanci), seven grandchildren (Stephanie, Laura, Tyler, Matthew, Denise, Peter and Sarah), and four great-grandchildren (Birkley, Parker, Hawkins and Milo).

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 13th, at T. Little Funeral Home, Cambridge, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Sick Kids Foundation (sickkidsfoundation.com). As per her request, no flowers please.

Violet was deeply grateful to her family for their love and support, and to the staff at Revera Granite Landing, where everyone was so kind, and the food was always good.
