Welsford GeraldWELSFORD, Gerald Jeffery   -  It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gerry Welsford, on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, age 94.

Dad is now with his beloved wife, our Mom, Betty.

Dad will be dearly missed by his four children, Beth Shepard (Wayne), Gerry (Janette), Nancy (Bill) and Ginny (Tony), his sister, Mary Geisler (Bill), eight grandchildren, Patrick, Kelly, Colleen, Meaghan, Eastman, Cullen, Jeffery and Dianna, and four great-grandchildren.

Dad was an extremely caring father, involved in all of the activities that his kids participated in and enjoyed attending the activities and family events that surrounded his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was particularly devoted to our mother, and the two of them travelled the world and enjoyed life's experiences to their fullest.

His heart broke in March of 2016 when Mom passed but he soldiered on and was a vibrant member of the Lincoln Park Retirement Community where he was loved by many of the staff and residents and made a significant mark there.

A graduate Engineer from the University of Toronto, Dad's career spanned across many industries including construction materials, pulp and paper and silver extraction.

Dad was a consummate professional and socially had many lifelong friends from his working days, and especially from the "Woodcroft Gang" from Dollard des Ormeaux.

He will be missed by all.

Visitation at Stonehouse-Whitcomb Funeral Home, Grimsby, on Friday, November 19, 2021. Cremation to follow. In accordance with provincial regulations, there is a limit to the number of visitors who may attend at one time. Please RSVP in advance for the visitation by calling the Funeral Home.

If desired, memorial contributions to the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
