HERMAN, Janic "Ian" - On December 10, 2021, our beloved, gentle giant, Janic (Ian) Herman, revisited his favourite path and took his last walk.
A man of quiet disposition, Janic was a nature lover, finding peace and seeing beauty when surrounded by trees and forest, his favourite places on earth.
He appreciated music of all genres, and knew his way around classical, jazz and rock. Janic was also a lover of cinema and spent countless hours at the movies.
His annual birthday trips to Mexico with his mother, Anica, provided warmth and wonderful memories.
But no love was greater than that of a walk in nature.
Janic loved and took pride in his work and it was there, that his big heart embraced those less fortunate.
Janic was always concerned and felt empathy for those who had less, were sick, or troubled.
Predeceased by his loving mother, Anica, in February 2021, he leaves behind his devoted father, Tomas, aunts Marica and Jarka, uncles Peter and Honza, cousins Suzie, John, Vladimir, Elena, Angela, Georgia, Arieh, Alexandra and Ariana.
Forever in our hearts you remain, gentle soul. Gone far too soon, but returning to the loving embrace of your mother and family members who await you with open arms. Rest in Peace, our sweet Janic.
A private family service will be held. Cremation to follow.
