CLOSE, Margaret Florence (nee SAUNDERS) - Margaret "Margie" Close passed away peacefully at home, on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at age 94, with Vern her husband of 67 years at her side.
She will be greatly missed by all. Predeceased by her son Stephen.
Margie had lifelong hearing problems but always persevered.
She had an endless thirst for knowledge, gave freely of her time and was incredibly creative.
She always asked why, never accepting status quo.
Margie met Vern, a resourceful and creative salesperson at "ladies" night at Rockway GC.
She loved his sense of humour and the rest was history. Margie was the rock of the family.
Margaret leaves behind: her children, Susan, husband Charles and children Tom, wife Elisabeth, great-granddaughter Nico and Alison; Eric and children Jeffrey and Trevor; David, wife Susan and daughter Angelica.
A celebration of life will be held in 2022.
