Famme JamesFAMME, James Bertram -

Jim passed away on Saturday March 9th, 2024 in his 77th year, at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay.

He leaves behind his wife Amy, his children Jason (Danielle), Julie (Marko), Brianna (Andrew) and Sarah (Corey). Adored grandfather of Aubree, Olivia, Mason, Ava, Peyton and Hayden.

Brother of Mary Louise Amos (Paul), David (Linda) and their families. Jim will be missed by his family and friends.

Jim was so proud to join the family business in 1966, as the third generation to manage and own W.B. White Insurance, which was started by his grandfather in 1929.

He was a tremendous supporter of the community throughout his time with the company from 1966 -2020, and equally as proud when his son Jason took over ownership in 2016.

Jim was an avid outdoorsman enjoying early morning fishing, angling, hunting, Oshawa Gun Club shooting range, car racing, snowmobiling, and boating. He also enjoyed Caribbean escapes in the Bahamas.

Jim loved spending time with his family, on the boat, enjoying the lake.

As per Jim and his family’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will take place on the boat, enjoying the lake, later this year.

Donations in memory of Jim to either Lakeridge Health Oshawa Foundation Cancer Centre, or Ross Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Department, would be appreciated by the family.
