Cooper BarbaraCOOPER, Barbara Eleanor  -

July 7, 1933 - April 26, 2024

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Barbara Cooper, in her 91st year, on April 26, 2024.

Barbara was born in Picton, on July 7, 1933, the cherished only daughter of Alex and Diana Lipson.

She was predeceased by her older brother, Stanley; and survived by her younger brother, John David.

Barbara was the loving mother of her sons, Peter, Douglas, and Paul.

She was fiercely proud of her accomplished sons, to whom she was totally devoted whether from around the corner or from around the world.

Special mention goes out to her best friend and sister-in-law, Clarice Cooper. Barbara was the beloved "Auntie Barb," the generational touchstone, to all of her nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. She will be terribly missed.

Barbara will be greatly missed by her friends and colleagues at New Wave Travel with whom she shared a wonderful camaraderie. Barbara faced the vicissitudes of advancing age with grace, courage, and determination. She was so grateful for the care and kindness provided by doctors and staff at St. Michael's Hospital.

At Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue West; for Service on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 12:00 noon. Interment, Holy Blossom Section of Pardes shalom Cemetery. Shiva, 10 Bellair Street in 3rd floor meeting room after Burial, Wednesday to 9:00 p.m., Thursday 2:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m., and Friday 2:00-5:00 p.m.
