Westman RosieWESTMAN, Rosie  - August 12, 1923 - November 8, 2017

A life defined by love and family ended on November 8, 2017, as our beautiful Rosie Westman quietly left us while surrounded by those she loved.

Although Rosie blessed us with her presence for 94 wonderful years, those who knew her know she left us too soon.

Born in Austria, Rosie loved spending time outdoors, especially at her cottage on the shores of Georgian Bay.

Strong and independent, Rosie adored traveling and had the privilege to see all four corners of the world. She loved life and all it offered, always looking for the opportunity to share experiences with her 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Rosie was an avid painter. While her many paintings will continue to hang on the walls of family and friends, her greatest canvas will be her legacy of love and compassion that will be remembered by all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

In her later years, Rosie was blessed to share her days with a community of devoted and compassionate caregivers. These wonderful women and their families soon became part of Rosie's extended family.

Rosie now joins for eternity her dear departed husband, Leslie, whom she loved long and deeply. She leaves her greatest achievements, her children Doug, Karen, Diane, Myra and Sharon to keep her memory alive through their celebration of her life.

Dearest Rosie, may you bloom and shine and may your petals of love watch over your loved ones from your eternal resting place.

Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 18, 2017, 11:00 a.m. Trull Funeral Home Chapel.

In memory of Rosie and in lieu of flowers, donations to The SickKids Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
