Morreale TeresinaMORREALE, Teresina (nee LUIGIA), SR.  -  (Order of the Sisters of Mt. Carmel)

At age 86, Sister Teresina (born Luigia Morreale in Racalmuto, Agrigento, Italy) passed away peacefully on November 18, 2017.

Sister Teresina joined the religious order of The Sisters of Mt Carmel in November 1963 and has since dedicated her life work to God and the Community.

As a member of the religious community, Sister Teresina loved her work at Villa Colombo serving the residents from 1975 to 1996.

After retirement, Sr. Teresina enjoyed working at the front desk of the Sister's of Mt Carmel Day Care Centre. Here, she could be found crocheting beautifully handcrafted baby and infant sleep sets, sweaters and blankets. Sister Teresina will be lovingly remembered by her religious family and will always be in the thoughts and prayers of her many Sisters at the Convent of the Sisters of Mt Carmel (Jane St. and Maple locations).

Sister Teresina's siblings join her religious family in prayer and celebration of her life.

She will be forever loved and remembered by her siblings: Nicoletta and late husband Anil Rohatgi, Josie and Luciano Luvisa, Leonard and Gabriella Morreale, Carm Bodogan and Rosa and Juerg Krebs. Sister Teresina was predeceased by her parents, Genoveffa and Calogero Morreale and sister Margaret Dragos. She will also be lovingly remembered by her many nephews and nieces.

Family and friends will be received at the Demarco Funeral Home, 3725 Keele St., on Monday, November 20th from 2-9 p.m and Tuesday, November 21st from 9-11 a.m. at St. Jane Frances Roman Catholic Church, 2747 Jane St., Toronto, where a funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Thornhill.

No flowers, please, donations to the Carmelite Missions would be greatly appreciated.
