Crossing the Atlantic alone by ship was just the beginning of the adventure she was about to embark on. A full time homemaker, Mary raised five children on a tight budget, a testament to her accounting background.

In the community of Wildfield she was a member of the CWL and together with her husband conducted the local church choir and made many close friends. They also ran a successful honey business, raising bees and marketing the honey at local markets.

Family was very important to Mary and she loved to fuss over her grandchildren. She will be sorely missed.

In lieu of flowers, please consider the Canadian Association for Mental Healt.
