He also performed in a similar capacity with the Expo Band at the World’s Fair in Montreal in 1967, and he later toured with the National Ballet of Canada, The Royal Winnipeg Ballet, the big bands of Buddy Rich, Stan Kenton, and Canadian jazz icon Phil Nimmons.

He was a successful freelance musician in Toronto where he performed with Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett, Bob Hope, Smokey Robinson, The Beach Boys, Paul Anka, The Supremes, and many others.

His theatre credits include A Chorus Line, Oklahoma, South Pacific, A Little Night Music, Sound of Music, The Music Man and West Side Story, and most of the popular Broadway shows travelling between 1968 and 1988.
