LLOYD, Eileen (Ashdown) - With great sadness, we announce the passing of Eileen in her 96th year on April 10, 2018 at Southlake Regional Hospital.
Surrounded by her by her family, she peacefully made the journey to join her late husband, Percy.
She is survived by her children: Muriel Simms(Butch), Douglas(Maureen), and Murray(Lorraine), and her grandchildren Peter, Kyle, Brittany, Amanda, Danielle, Ryan, Tristan, Sydney, and Devin, and many grandchildren.
Born in Saskatchewan, Eileen made her way to Sharon, Ontario in 1958 where she and her husband ran the Sharon Snack Bar for over 20 years.
Following retirement, she was able to devote more time to volunteering to such organizations as The Newmarket Health Centre and The Women's Institute.
For the past 14 years, Eileen enjoyed her life at Hamilton Place in Newmarket.
She loved traveling, celebrating with family and friends and settling down with a good book. She will be truly missed.
Services were held on April 17, 2018 at Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, Newmarket.
Memorial donations to Sharon Hope United Church or Southlake Regional Health Centre.
