Calla PalminaCALLA, Palmina  - April 9, 1919 - May 10, 2018

Palmina Calla passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family.

Palmina was predeceased by her beloved husband Domenico.

She leaves behind her six children Elisa (Paolo), Lidia (Frank), Enzo (Maria), Valentino Eugenio (Elisa), Mario (Marjie) and Andrea.

She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren who loved her dearly. Palmina was known by everyone as Nonna because of her nurturing spirit.

A courageous woman of great faith who loved life and family, she overcame much adversity with resilience and grace. Her generous and embracing spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 13, 2018, 2 - 4 p.m.; 6 - 9 p.m. at DeMarco Funeral Home, 8003 Weston Rd., Woodbridge. Funeral: Monday, May 14, 2018, 9:30 a.m., St. Clare of Assisi R.C. Church, 150 St. Francis Ave., Woodbridge.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made payable to COSTI Immigrant Services in support of the Calabrian Benevolent Association of Ontario's (CBAO) Seniors Day Program .
