Woods ElaineWOODS, Elaine Mary (nee Powers) - June 25, 2018, Jackson's Point ON - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, friends and caregivers, in her home in Jackson's Point on Monday June 25, 2018 in her 70th year.

Dear mother of Sean Woods and his wife Karen, Nicole Blouin and her husband Dave and Kristi Woods-Nogal and her husband Raph.

Cherished Grandma of Taylor Woods, Sarah, Nicolas, and Christopher Blouin and Austin Nogal.

Beloved sister of Colleen Bisset (Peter), Mary Jane Powers and John Powers.

he will also be greatly missed by her extended family and friends.

Predeceased by her husband Wayne Woods (2002), her parents Dr. C. G. Powers and Mrs. Allie Powers of Cambridge, and her sister Carol Barnes of Toronto.

Elaine was a remarkable person who inspired many. She was strong, courageous and brave. Not only was she gifted with her physical beauty but she also possessed a deep spirituality. Her motto was "Be kind to everyone." She also believed in the concept of paying it forward.

To her family she was a loving, generous and proud mom and sibling. To her many friends, she was an "Earth Angel," compassionate, loyal and trusted. Her kind heart will always be remembered by everyone.

Elaine also worked closely with her patient care staff and team, mentoring and guiding them with her knowledge and expertise.

Elaine's family would like to thank the medical professionals, including the doctors, nurses, pharmacists and social worker, as well as the personal care staff and friends, including her special "Water Angels" who helped care for and befriend her over these past several years.

The family would also like to thank Reverend Ted Grady and the Knox United Church Family and Greg Forrest.

Elaine's family will receive relatives and friends at Knox United Church, 34 Market Street, Sutton, Tuesday July 17, 2018. Visitation from 12:00 noon – 1:15 p.m. Celebration of life 1:30 p.m.

In keeping with Elaine's spirit of giving, make a difference and brighten someone's day with a smile and a good deed. Memorial donations may be made to Spinal Cord Injury Ontario, Enhancing Independence Program, Palliative Care Wing, Stronach Center, Southlake Regional Health Care Center or Hospice Georgina.
