Fondly remembered by her siblings Don Konkle, Jean Fairbanks, and Ann Erhardt, and predeceased by brother Ralph “Dutch” Konkle. Joan will also be dearly missed by extended family, friends, and neighbours.

He was adored and known as “Pops” by his granddaughters Maya and Sydney. Loving brother to Manola, Vivien, Giselle (Terence), Diana (Kevin) and Herbert (Odette) and predeceased by his parents Herbert and Elena Kolaric.

Whether he was “Flav”, “Dad”, “Pops”, “Snag”, “Frank”, “Uncle Flav” or something else, Flavio loved to spend time with his family and friends, lived life to the fullest and inspired us all.

Born December 28, 1933. Passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 3, 2015.

Loyal husband, champion and love of her life to Elizabeth (Perry). Devoted father and protector to Leslie, Laurie, and his other children Steve Scott, Glenn Seymour, Nicole Durrant, Lisa Askin, John Spring, Drew and Ben Donohue, and Debbie Powell.

Faithful brother to his gracious sister Jean Batchelor (Bill), and his brother-in-law Don Perry (Jane). Loving son of the late David & Ellen Martin of Toronto & Keswick. Sadly missed by his devoted nieces and nephews.

Born and raised in Toronto, he made Burlington home for almost 50 years in the house he & Liz built in 1967. Dave had a storied career in television, from learning the business in the early days at CHCH TV to getting Global on the air, to his distinguished time at CBC where his union, Olympic & HNIC negotiations would be the stuff of legend, were they but known.

Ultimately, his family was his life's work. His quiet and unswerving devotion to his parents, sister, wife and children were second to no man.

The family wishes to thank the Care Partners PSWs for their loving attention, and Dr. Stewart Pugsley and Dr. Shelia Middlebrook and their staffs for their tender care.

Ciceri_Doug(November 9, 1945 - September 2, 2015) - Doug went home to be with our Lord after a brave and very well-fought cancer battle. Doug died at home in the embrace of his adoring family.

We have lost our very precious and beloved husband, father, son, papa, brother and uncle. Known for his generosity, gentleness and kindness, he loved all of God's people and creatures. We are suffering an astronomical loss, as he was so loved and admired.

Married to Pearl for 49 years, they were never known to argue. They shared everything together and were privileged and honoured to be together since the age of 14.

Doug was so very proud of his wonderful sons, Doug Jr (Victoria) and Dave, and his dear grandchildren, John and Gia. This loss is greatly felt by his siblings, Chris (Ann Marie) and Diane (Gord) and all his nieces and nephews.

Family was everything to Doug, and he proved his love every single day. We will miss you, our beautiful man, and will always honour you.

deSouza_VivienIt is with profound sadness that the de Souza and Cedillo families announce the peaceful passing of Vivien Cedillo de Souza on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 in the arms of her loving family.

Beloved wife of Raymond for 40 amazing years, devoted mother to her children Lara (Savio), Amanda, and Andrew and adoring grandmother to Genevieve.

Vivien was born in Masbate, Philippines to professor and dean Valentin Cedillo and Felisa Bernardo Cedillo. She spent her early childhood at the University of the Philippines Los Banos (UPLB) campus. Her parents work with United Nations Development Program took the family to Sri Lanka, Venezuela, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Pakistan on various community development projects.

At 18, Vivien met Ray while attending the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. Vivien graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Dramatic Arts. In 1975 they married in Courtenay, British Columbia and settled in Vancouver. In 1988, the family moved to Toronto where Vivien was a loyal employee of the Workplace Safety Insurance Board for over 20 years. After retiring in 2008, Vivien moved with Ray to Abu Dhabi for several years before settling back home in Burlington, Ontario.

Vivien was a talented artist, painter, musician ?and actor and instilled these passions and exuberance for life in her 3 children.

Vivien was predeceased by her parents and her sister Princess (the late Andy). She will be greatly missed by siblings Amor, Liti (Jørgen); Voltaire (Alma); Desiree, Kareen (Geoff); Gigi, Philip (Tessa); Mia and Genevieve. She was loved and admired by more than 50 nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and godchildren.

Vivien was dedicated to her Catholic faith, which sustained her throughout her life especially in her final years. Her greatest satisfaction came from her devout service to the many parishes and faith communities in which she was proud to be an influence including the Eucharist ministry, Worldwide Marriage Encounter, RCIA, CCD and CWL.

Despite her diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer with a prognosis of one year, Vivien surpassed the odds for more than three years and used every opportunity between difficult cancer treatments to travel extensively, inspiring those around her to live life to the fullest. She visited Denmark, Norway, Sweden and India and across Canada and the US. Her final trip only a few weeks ago, was a wedding and family reunion in Charleston, South Carolina.

Vivien will be remembered as someone who celebrated life against all odds and even in the face of a terminal illness.? We are grateful for her spirit that will sustain us for generations to come.

The family is deeply grateful to Vivien’s niece Joanne and friend of the family Stacey for their caring support throughout her illness; friends and family and work colleagues for their prayers, encouragement and thoughts, the nursing teams at CCAC, the staff of the oncology and palliative care units at ?CVH particularly doctors Gupta, Kuhlman, Besik, Myers, nurses Jirina, Yolanda, Tenisha and Fatima and to the many parishioners at Holy Family Parish in Whitby and St. Paul the Apostle Parish in Burlington with whom the family developed deep and lasting friendships.

INGRAM, Elwood G. 'Tweet' -

Ingram_TweetAfter many brave attempts to gain his independence, Tweet died unexpectedly in Picton on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2015 at the age of 89.

Born and raised in Wellington, Tweet lived most of his life on Queen Street, Picton.

Beloved husband for over fifty years of the late Betty.

Loved father of Kristine and her husband the late Sam Carroccio of Toronto, Richard and his wife Sandra of Milford, Kathryn and her husband Roger Pickard of Wellington, Susan and her husband George Chapman of Picton, Bobby and his partner Ian of Toronto and of Tracey and her husband Ward Walsh of Cherry Valley.

Proud gramps and papa of Anthony, Robert, Bethie, Samantha, Mercedes and Austin and great-grampa of Sienna.

FUNERAL SERVICE will be held in the Chapel of the Whattam Funeral Home, 33 Main Street, Picton, Ontario on Saturday, September 5th at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend Bob Jones officiating. Interment to follow. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m.

If desired, donations to the Picton Dialysis Unit or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
