Peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 in her 88th year. 

Dearly beloved wife of the late Gordon. 

Dear mother of David and his wife Judy, Paul and his wife Donna-Marie, Michael and his wife Susan.  Grandmother to Melissa and her husband Scott Briggs, Jamie and his wife Rachel, Brandon, Megan, Hannah, Kaitlyn, Jordan, and Grace.  Great grandmother to Ayrston. 

Survived by her sister Lenora and her husband Jim Broughton, and predeceased by her sister Ruby and her late husband Morley Leek. 

Born on November 23, 1927, Dorothy was an active member of the Sandford Community and played an active role on the family dairy farm. 

Funeral service to be held in Uxbridge on Saturday, December 20th. 

In Dorothy’s memory, donations may be made to the Sandford United Church or the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital.

Dick Peel was the beloved husband of Christine Peel (nee Robb) for 44 years.

Remembered by Sue Wells (the late Sam), his nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents Stewart and Marjorie Peel.

Memorial visitation will be held at the MACKEY FUNERAL HOME,  33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Sunday from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and on Monday, December 22nd from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the memorial service in the chapel at 1:30 p.m.

Interment of the cremated remains will take place privately at the Verulam Cemetery, Bobcaygeon.

(1920 – 2014)

Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, in her 95th year.

Mom was the rock foundation of her family and passed away on the same land as she was born.

She is survived by her sons Don, Doug, Brian (Lesia), Stephen (Mary Lou) of Ladysmith BC, Phil (Ailleen); by her daughter Rosemary (Mathew) Jones of Colborne ON and by her cat Amber.

She was predeceased by sons Tommy (1949), Peter (2002) and Jim (2007). Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Mom raised her children with little financial resources but with much love and compassion. She was always a giver, generous with what she had and supportive of others. She taught her children compassion, love, empathy and the value of hard work and economy.

Mom was a strong supporter of Christ Memorial Church. She was known to have knitted hundreds of pairs of mittens for church sales and bazaars. Mother enjoyed knitting and quilting and especially enjoyed to share.

Mom was also supportive of Thickson’s Woods, the Oshawa Second Marsh and was active for many years with Boy Scouts and Brownies. Mom was ‘Brown Owl’ for many years during the 70’s and 80’s.

The family would like to thank all those who helped mother on her journey these past few months. Your kind words, dedicated support and devotion are truly appreciated.

Audrey was a member of St. Stephen's United Church.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who always put others before herself. Her family and friends will always be thankful for the gift that was her life.

Audrey was involved in many activities from volunteering at the Compass, Healthy Start, Mississauga Bridge, Dixie Curling Club and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

Predeceased by her husband Kenneth and sister Shirley. Survived by her sons Rick (Nancy), Ken, Bruce (Carol), Glenn (Shelly), Bill (Beverly), her brother-in-law Joe (Lois), her niece Kim (Mitch) and nephew Jim (Liz-Ann). Sandra worked in administration with the Ministry of Community and Social Services and the Ministry of Natural Resources and later assisted her husband in restoration of Centre Island Carousel.

She will be missed by her husband of 52 years, Alexander Cochrane, son Rusty (Arlene), daughters Robynne (Charlie) and Dennise, grandchildren Nic (Tina), Ashlie (Jamal), Kiersten (Dylan), Ben (Ariane), Stephanie, Bailey (Joseph) and Mac and great-grandchildren Keon, Malaika, Katilyn, Taya and Liam.

Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Diane (nee McCormick). Loving father of Kathryn (Alex Martin), Susan (Jode Spinney), and Michael.

Cherished and fun grandpa of Christopher, Mathew, and Griffin.

Dave will be dearly missed by his siblings Tim Cress, Margaret Aitkin, and extended family and friends.

Dave was a guy’s guy. He knew how to hold a hammer, pour a drink and felt the most confident after a clean shave and wearing a pressed shirt. Dave held a passion for wood working, soapstone carving and golf. He valued friendship, craftsmanship, creativity and hard work. Dave could always be trusted to know a little bit about everything and was on your side, shoulder to shoulder when it mattered most. Loyalty and commitment were some of the many gifts he gave his family and friends.

Dave was a very proud Dad and was not shy about boasting about his children’s accomplishments. David was a successful artist with his work being viewed throughout Canada, Southeast Asia, and the United States. His commitment to life-long learning will live on in his children and grandchildren.

He will be deeply and completely missed by his wife and children and by his community for his philanthropic spirit and unique story telling ability. Dave will be missed by his friends at Macassa Bay Yacht Club, Burlington Arts, The Fitness Firm, and Friends For Life Bike Rally where he was a rider and volunteer.

A Funeral Service will be held in Burlington on Friday, December 19th. Private cremation to follow.

A funeral service will be held in Barrie on Thursday, December 18th. Interment will take place in Toronto on Friday at 12 noon.

Born May 13, 1925 in Simbario, Italy

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Giuseppe on December 15, 2014, surrounded by the love of his daughters and grandchildren.

Finally reunited with his dear wife Caterina and brother Francesco.

Cherished father of Josie Malfara (Bruno) and Sara Morson (Renzo). Adored Nonno of Natalie Musso (Gabriel), Antony Malfara (Malina), Julian Malfara (Josie), Adrian Morson (Lise) and Gianna Malfara. Proud Bisnonno of Jovian, Cate, Claire and Mila. He was and remains so loved and will be missed by countless family and friends in Canada, the United States and Italy.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Transfiguration of Our Lord Catholic Church (45 Ludstone Dr., Etobicoke) on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 10:30 a.m.  Entombment to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson Society Canada.

Peacefully on Monday, December 15, 2014 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.

Daughter of the late Margaret and Harry Disher, mother of Susan, Cara, Bain and Gordon, grandmother of Luke, Blake and Dylan.

Fondly remembered by Doug Hain and many relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place.

Service will be held in Toronto, on Friday, December 19th.

If desired, donations to the Arts for Children and Youth will be welcomed.
