March 20, 1937 - March 24, 2015

Bev passed away in Victoria, BC four days after celebrating her 78th birthday.

Bev was the loving wife of Einar ("Pete") for almost 52 years and proud and loving mother to Steven and Philip (Linda). She is also survived by her sister Shirley Ormerod. Bev was born and raised in Hamilton, ON.

Bev became an Executive Secretary at Canadian Westinghouse in Hamilton, where she met Pete who worked for the Bank of Nova Scotia.

Following their marriage on July 6, 1963, Bev joined Pete in Toronto where he had recently been transferred. Bev excelled at the challenge of becoming a mother to two boys; one of whom has special needs.

When her sons got older, Bev went back to work for several companies before retiring as a Medical Secretary in 1998. During their 40 years of living in Mississauga, ON, Bev played an active role in Sorority, Caring & Sharing and at St. Bride's Anglican Church. Bev, Pete and Steve moved to Victoria in 2005.

A service is taking place at St. Bride's Anglican Church, Mississauga, 1516 Clarkson Rd. N., on Saturday, April 25 at 1:30 p.m. Reception to follow.

December 13, 1934 - April 23, 2015

Resident of Markham.

After a courageous 4-year battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis, James passed away peacefully at Markham Stouffville Hospital with his family at his side. James was born, raised and lived in the Toronto area for his entire life.

He was the youngest of ten children born to Louis and Laural Belanger. Beloved husband of Patricia Diane Belanger for 60 years. James will forever be remembered by his devoted brother Paul, loving sisters Pat and Anne, beloved children James (Cathy), Marc and Christopher (Barbara), treasured grandchildren Paul, Danielle, Ashley, Melissa, Renee, Brandon, Nicole, Jordan, Matthew, Eric, Ryan and great-grandchildren Alexander, Isabella, Bailie and Benjamin, along with countless other friends and family who were blessed to know him. James has joined his loving daughter Michele in heaven.

James loved to vacation at his winter home in New Zealand and his summer home in Bobcaygeon. His passion was breeding and racing horses. He had a wonderful sense of humour, loved to laugh and having fun with friends and family.

He touched the lives of everybody he met with his smiles and generosity. Friends and family are invited to visitation at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, 8911 Woodbine Avenue, Markham, on Monday, April 27th from 4-9 p.m.

Memorial service is at St. Patrick's Catholic Church at 5633 Highway 7, Markham, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28th.

Passed away peacefully in her sleep at St. Michael’s Hospital on Thursday, April 23, 2015, at the age of 84.

Loving and treasured wife of Robert for 61 years. Wonderful Mom of Joanne (David Bourner), Cathy (Ron Crozier) and Ellen (Jim Piggott). Proud grandmother of Laura, Scott, Jennifer and Craig.

Predeceased by her parents Ernie and Lauretta Thompson and by her siblings June Soles and Vic Thompson.

Leone will be dearly missed by nieces, nephews, other relatives and her congregational family at Simcoe Street United Church.

Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Thursday, April 30th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m.

Predeceased by her husband James Donald Jones (1977).

Survived by her son Stephen Douglas (Elizabeth). She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her grandchildren Sara and Michael.

Moira will be lovingly remembered by those who knew her.

Passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 23, 2015 at Extendicare, Cobourg, Ontario, at the age of 94.

Mima, beloved wife of the late Robert "Bob".

Loving mother of Valerie and Graham. Cherished by her 5 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Mima was the longest surviving child of a large family.

She served in the WRNS during WWII, after which she and her husband emigrated to Canada in 1952 where she worked for Toronto Hydro for 35 years.

A devout Catholic, she had a deep devotion to Our Lady of Lourdes and St. Jude. No newcomer who arrived at her door was ever turned away!

A Memorial Mass will be held at ST. JOHN'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 794 Kingston Rd., on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment of ashes in Scarborough, Yorkshire, England.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Toronto Humane Society or the Alzheimer Society of Toronto would be appreciated by the family.

Janis passed away peacefully at Markham Stouffville Hospital on Thursday, April 23, 2015 surrounded by the love of her family.

Janis was the loving daughter of the late Adolf and Iris Passarelli.

Beloved wife of 46 years of Sal Liotta. Loving mother of Richard (Alison), Steve (Kathy) and Jennifer (Kirby) Kuindersma. Cherished grandma of Calista, Jack, Zach, Ben, Eliana and Nathan. Janis will be sorely missed by her sister Donna (Don) Brant. Also survived by her brother Leonard (Rochelle) Passarelli, her many nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, aunts, many friends and especially her former colleagues from Eaton's.

Graduated from St. Michael's High School (1964) and Windsor University (1967).

He had a 20 year career with Dominion Securities Tradition, before becoming the owner of Deluxe Vending for 20 years. He was always a true "Canadian Boy".

On April 23, 2015 after a rich and rewarding life.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Helen (nee McLeod).

Survived by his brother William Nicholson and by his five children and their spouses: Lauri and Murray Christianson, Scott Woodside, Heather and Jeremy Hart, Patricia Nicholson and Bruce Nicholson. He was immensely proud of his eight grandchildren and his grandchildren-in-law: Deirdre and Eric Hennebury, Penelope and Robert Hewer, Graeme and Melanie Christianson, Virginia and Jon Aucutt, Keith and Karen Christianson, Stephane Woodside, Georgia Hart and Jack Hart. He revelled in his role as Grando to 10 great-grandchildren, who brought him great joy.

During his extensive career in mining, he explored Canada as few people do, from the High Arctic to the Coast Mountains of British Columbia to the coast of Labrador, and worked with colleagues who earned his lifelong respect.

He devoted his long and rewarding retirement to fly fishing, traveling, reading and supporting the work of living Canadian artists. He lived a rare life.

The family will receive visitors at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane Subway, on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Joseph Perun (born in Ukraine, June 13, 1921) died peacefully at St. Joseph's Health Centre in Toronto on April 23, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.

He leaves behind his dear wife of 69 years Anna, daughters Orysia (Ehor Didyk), Marusia and Halyna (Martin Chepesiuk) and grandsons Marco and Stefan Hlouschko (Inna Husak) and Paul, Oles and John Chepesiuk.

The family wishes to express its sincere gratitude to the staff of the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre for the exceptional care they provided to Joseph in his last three years of life and to Dr. Lehnert and the St. Joseph's Health team.

Maria Rydzkowski resided in Bradford and formerly in Toronto.

Beloved wife of the late Peter (2011). Loving mother of John (Carol) and Eric (Caroline). Much loved Grandma of Adam and Christopher.

Mary was a good friend to all and always had a kind word to say about others.

She loved nothing more than to share a meal, bake for neighbours, friends and family, as well as knit for every person she met. She was a great storyteller, lover of nature and interested in the changing world around us. Mary's bright smile will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Very special thanks to the nurses and staff at Bradford Valley for their loving care and support over the past several years.
