Sister Agnes died peacefully at the LaSalle Manor, Scarborough, ON, February 26, 2014 in the 74th year of religious life with the Sisters of Service.

Born in Brandon, MB, one of the two children born to Timothy James and Leah Mary Page.

Predeceased by her parents and her sister Rhea (William) Beeman, she is survived by her niece Patricia (Vincent) Grimes and children Shawn and Kerry and her nephew Terry (Dorothy) Beeman, Winnipeg, MB.

Agnes, prairie born in Brandon, MB, entered the Sisters of Service on January 21, 1940. Graduating from the Maritime School of Social Work, Halifax, NS, she spent most of her religious life in the urban centers of Toronto, ON, Montreal, QC, Halifax, NS and Winnipeg, MB serving in administration, social work and marriage tribunal ministries.

She received the Benemerenti Medal in recognition of this service in 1996. In 1997, she was appointed Assistant Bookkeeper of the Motherhouse of the Sisters of Service in Toronto, ON and in 1999, Coordinator of Scarborough Retirement S.O.S. Residence until she took up residence at the LaSalle Manor Retirement Centre in 2005.

A week before she passed away she celebrated her 100th birthday joined by the Community and many friends.

Among her many gifts of service, she will be remembered especially for her gifts of music and song given so generously wherever she lived and ministered.

The Sisters of Service extend their sympathy to her family and many friends. May she rest in peace.

Relatives and friends may call at the LaSalle Manor, 61 Fairfax Cres., Scarborough, ON for the visitation on Monday, March 3 between 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with prayer service at 7 p.m.

Mass of the Resurrection will take place on Tuesday, March 4 at 11 a.m. presided by Rev. Rocky Grimard, omi, in the chapel at the LaSalle Manor. Interment in the Sisters of Service plot.

Suddenly passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the age of 54.

Beloved husband of Mary. Loving father of Christina and Marianna.

Sadly missed by his mother June, brother Carl (Irene), sisters Penny and Cathy, father- in-law Joseph, brother-in-law Roman (Ann) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass to be held at St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, 143 Franklin Ave., on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 10 a.m. Burial to follow.

Peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Parkview Long Term Care Nursing Home in her 93rd year.

Catherine has gone to join her loving partner Elizabeth Holden and her sister Marion Welsh. Loving aunt of Mavis Whitehouse, Heather and her husband Louis Rendulich and Janice Bateman.

Cherished grandaunt of Ryan, Erin, Brian, Blair, lan, Wesley and great- grandaunt to 8.

As per Catherine's wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Arrangements out of Stouffville.

If so desired, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 surrounded by his family in his 90th year.

Beloved husband to Adeline for 65 years. Loving father to Carol (Walter), Bruce (Laurie) and Darlene (Brian). Proud grandpa to Melanie (Lucas), Kristy (Nick), Madison, Melissa and Matthew. Proud great-grandpa to Carter.

Albert was a WWII Veteran in the Royal Canadian Navy and had a successful and rewarding career as a member of the Toronto Fire Services, retiring with rank of District Chief after 39 years of service.

Service in Toronto on Monday, March 3rd. Interment.

Born March 31st, 1918 in Sudbury, ON to Katherine Ann Kennedy and Russell Benjamin Kitchen. Beloved wife of Robert John Thomson (deceased) for 63 years. Loving Mother of Jane Anne, Paul Anthony (Helene), Donald Joseph (Judy) and Mary Barbara Foster (Wayne – deceased).

Grandmother of Leanne Young (Dylan), Kyle Thomson (Jesse), Meagan Challand (Ryan), Ryan Thomson (Heather), Scott Thomson (Jolie) and Jennifer Foster. Great-grandmother of Ashlynn Challand, Ella Challand, Madelaine Young, Liam Thomson and Jack Thomson. Sister of Edmund, Patricia. Kenneth and Noreen Kitchen (all deceased). Survived by sister Mary Leah Kitchen. Sister-In-Law of Janet Nicholson, Allan Thomson and Margaret Iddon (deceased).

A special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and Caregivers at Providence Villa for the loving and exceptional care she received.

The family will receive friends and family on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at TRULL FUNERAL HOME  'NORTH TORONTO' CHAPEL (2704 Yonge St. Toronto, ON M4N 2H7- 416-488-1101) from 10-11am.

A funeral service at 11 am in the chapel with refreshments to follow. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers, a donation in Rita's name to Cardinal Ambrozic Houses of Providence if so desired.

Passed away peacefully at Baycrest Hospital on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 in her 101st year.

Survived by her children Hein York, Hein Poy, Hein Kuen and Lily, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great- granddaughter.

Hew Ting who lived a long, full and active life was a loving grandmother and she will be missed dearly.

Special thanks to the medical staff at Baycrest for their compassionate care and support.

Funeral service will be held in Toronto on Saturday, March 8th.

Passed peacefully in his residence, on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the age of 80.

Predeceased by his beloved wife, Georgina (1998).

Loving father of Cathi and her husband Ron Mietkiewicz. Proud grandfather of his little buddy Andrew.

Doug is survived by siblings Donna, Joan, Marilyn, Jim, Nancy and Brian and he is predeceased by brothers Robert, and Bill. Doug will be sadly missed by sisters-in-law Mary, Ruth and her husband Mac and many nieces and nephews.

Proudly served in the Royal Canadian Navy during the Korean War on HMCS Magnificent on its Coronation Tour. Doug was a member of the Halton Naval Veterans Association for over 20 years, he will be missed by those long-time friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd in Burlington. Private cremation to follow.

Leonard loved the army life and was a proud Veteran of World War II.

Predeceased by his parents Frederick Charles and Elizabeth Vale, brother Laurence, and sister Violet.

Survived by sisters Myrtle Thomas, Anita Stainton and Vera Merchant; also by nieces, nephews and other family members.

Visitation will be held on Monday March 3 from 11:00am -12:00 pm at JERRETT FUNERAL HOME 1141 St. Clair Ave. W. (East of Dufferin), Toronto where a Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm. Cremation to follow.

(May 10, 1931 - February 26, 2014) - Passed away peacefully at Etobicoke General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of Christina for 58 years and cherished father of Laura, Susan (Patrick) and Nancy (Alan). Adored Poppa of Sarah, Matthew, Alexandra and Amanda. Dear brother of Georgie, Gordon and Andrew and brother-in-law of Doreen (Dennis).

Jim was born in Glasgow, Scotland and remained a proud Scot. He had a lifelong love of golf and was an avid sports enthusiast. Jim was a loyal member of Caledonia Masonic Lodge.

A true gentleman, he will be fondly remembered for his generosity, kindness, sense of humour and his devotion to his family. Jim will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Arrangements out of Woodbridge.

A funeral service will take place on Friday, February 28, 2014 in Thornhill.  Interment. Shiva will be observed at 135 Antibes Dr., Apt. 1601 on Sunday 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. and Monday through Wednesday 7-9 p.m. with evening services at 7:30 p.m.

Immense thanks are extended to the wonderful team of caregivers at the Village Of Tansley Woods, as well as to everyone at Jackson Therapeutic Recreation who have helped over the years.

Funeral service will be held in Burlington on Saturday, March 8th. Cremation will take place with a private urn interment in Peterborough, at a later date.
