FREED, Myrtle A. (DALES) Freed - Obituary | Print |

MYRTLE A. FREED (nee DALES), RN 1938 -

November 29, 1915 - Nelson Township, Ontario   March 14, 2015 - Brampton, Ontario

Mrs. Myrtle A. Freed was the epitome of warmth, love and grace. A product of a different time, she lived her life with honour, joy and optimism, an inspiration to those around her.

Her beloved husband, the late Dr. Bruce D. Freed (2000), was her soulmate. They travelled the world and life together. Their intense love continued until the day she died. Mrs. Freed shared her love of nature with her husband; they touched the land and beauty flourished. Her empathy, kindness and generosity were universal, extending beyond her family to the community, the disenfranchised and the environment.

She was born many years ago, but her interests were of today's events, always with an eye to the future. She was the adored mother of the late Dale Anne Freed (2010), Jane C. Freed, Lynne V. Freed and son-in-law Richard B. McCorkindale. Her loving granddaughters Alexandria and Victoria McCorkindale were a constant source of delight. Mother, Grandmother and Friend, we will strive to follow your example, going forward with our hearts warmed and fortified by your love, strength and hope.

As she wished, private arrangements have been made.
