Peacefully passed away surrounded by his family in his 89th year.

Douglas, beloved husband of the late Laura Martin. Loving father of Carol, Bob and Donna; grandfather (Popops) of Todd, Sasha, Robert and Katherine. He is survived by his sister Maureen (Norm Wrycraft) and will be fondly remembered by all of his family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 8th from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles).

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 9th at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. Private cremation.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinson Society Canada would be appreciated.

In her 91st year, passed away peacefully with her family by her side.

Loving wife of the late Lawrence McAteer.

Mother and mother-in-law of Sandra (Bob), the late Stephen (Shirley), Nancy (Joe), Deb and Judy (Tony). Grandmother of Krista (Art), Robyn, Shawna (Steve), Sean, Brock, Jade and Chase. Great-grandmother of Bobbi Lena. Forever in our hearts.

Visitation will be held at Pine Hills Visitation Centre, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229), on Friday, May 8th from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Interment to follow.

Passed away with her family by her side on May 5th, 2015 at Scarborough General Hospital in her 88th year.

Predeceased by her son Clinton and daughter Karen.

Loving mother of Lynda (Ray), Marlene, Brian (Pam), Hollas (Paul).

Wonderful Grandmother to 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

Shirley was an amazing Bingo player and enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and friends, and driving her favourite vehicles.

A Celebration of Shirley's life will be held at a later date.

Edna Mitchell, formerly of Toronto, beloved wife of the late Charlie Mitchell.

Dear mother of Art Mitchell and his wife Willie, Tom Mitchell and Florance Marshall and her husband Ron. Loving grandmother of Hope (Richard), Andrew, Amy (Alain); Cathy, Christine (Tim), Thomas (Laurie); Julie and Dan (Andrea) and great- grandmother of 14.

Edna will be remembered for her loving and caring compassion as demonstrated by her crocheting over 1800 baby sweaters which have been donated in the name of Christ in over 50 countries.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated in the chapel of the Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home, 20846 Dalton Road, Sutton, on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 11 a.m. Visitation from 10 a.m. Interment of cremated remains Erskine Cemetery, Pickering, Monday at 2:30 p.m.

It is with sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Norman Lee Sheppard on May 5, 2015, peacefully in his home in Toronto with his wife Theresa by his side.

His final journey was one of courage and perseverance. Norm will be lovingly remembered by his wife and soulmate Theresa, his children, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, step-daughters, step- granddaughters, in-laws and longtime friends.

The family will receive friends at the Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Road East (west of Bayview Avenue), from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6th.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at the funeral home in the Chapel of St. Joseph on Thursday at 2 p.m.

The final rite of committal and interment will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.

Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 in his 87th year.

Loving husband of Jean and the late Barbara. Beloved father of Catherine, Carol, Nancy, Susan and Mark and their spouses and partners. Proud grandfather of Sean, Tori, Valerie, Tracy, Lindsay, Ashlyn and their families. Great-grandfather of Brendan. Brother of June McKay of London, Ontario. Lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, step-children and their families. Predeceased by sister Shirley Wynne and brother Jack D. Umphrey. Son of the late Jeff and Hilda Umphrey.

Ron graduated from General Motors Institute, Flint, Michigan and worked in the Insurance and Automotive industry realizing his dream to be an Automotive Dealer in the late 1960s with the establishment of Courtesy Chevrolet Oldsmobile.

Ron took great pride in his family who surrounded him with love at his passing. He was a passionate gardener, sportsman and positive thinker. He was bold with a great sense of humour and met every challenge in his life with perseverance and dignity.

Ron was a true gentlemen and loyal friend to many.

Friends may call at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket, on Tuesday, May 12th from 7-9 p.m.

Funeral service in the chapel on Wednesday, May 13th at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Reception to follow after the service.

Interment in Sunderland.

Beloved wife of the late Paul Winter.

Mom to Markus Fromm, Nancy Macnab (Scott), Hildegard Winter (Adam Prasuhn) and step-oma to Ingrid and Warren Piat.

Respecting Marianne's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of life at Peace Lutheran Church, Pickering, in June.

Marianne was a retired librarian and avid reader.
She enjoyed gardening and belonged to the Orono Horticultural Society for many years.

The Durham Regional Police recognized and awarded her for her efforts in founding the Neighbourhood Watch program in Orono. During her later years, Marianne continued to be active in her church, as well as belonging to many organizations, exercise groups, and clubs.

Gerry was a Teacher for the Toronto Catholic District School Board for many years until his retirement in 1995 and a devoted member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. 

The Funeral Mass will be held Friday, May 8th at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 66A Main Street South, Brampton, Ontario, at 10 a.m. Burial to follow in Mississauga.

Cherished grandmother of Courtney and Sean Brennan; Adam, Sabrina, David and D'Artagnan Boocock. Originally a proud Cape Bretoner from Sydney, Nova Scotia, longtime resident of Etobicoke.

Faithful member of Nativity of Our Lord Church for many years.

Mayme was an enthusiastic lawn bowler and alley bowler. As a golfer, she never let you forget about her hole in one.

The Little General with a heart of gold was always there for her family and will be best remembered by them for her oft said "this growing old is for the birds!"

The family would like to thank the compassionate staff at Southlake Village for their care and support.

Interment with her beloved Raymond will take place at a later date.
