Passed away peacefully, with his family by his side on July 26, 2015 at the age of 77.

Much loved partner of Joan Friel for 20 years. Loving father of Andrew (Shona), Alison and Andrea (David).

Proud grandad of Colleen, Erin, Melissa and Liam. Son of Patrick and brother of Pat (Jean). Predeceased by his first wife Margaret and his mother Jean. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all of his family and friends.

Peter was a well-known drummer in the Toronto jazz scene and was a long-term employee of Toronto Hydro.

Family will receive friends at the McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME (28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax, 905-428-8488) on Wednesday, July 29th from 6-9 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, July 30th at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow.

Passed away unexpectedly at home.

She was formerly known as Henny van der Molen (Gifkins, Kozlowicz). She will be dearly missed by loving husband Gary. Daughter to Tina. Sister to Andy, Roman, John, Mary Ann, Carol and Steve.

Devoted mother to Brenda (Keith) and Laura (Chris). Proud grandmother of Ian, Kendal and Noah, who were known as her darling little angels. She will be remembered by many family members and friends.

Henny loved to travel and spend time in her garden.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 31st, 12 noon, at Taylor Funeral Home, 524 Davis Dr., Newmarket. A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m.

MORIHOVITIS, Mike Morihovitis - Obituary | Print |


October 16, 1932 - July 26, 2015

After a courageous battle with Parkinson's, Mike passed away peacefully at Scarborough Grace Hospital.

Mike was born and raised in Armenoro, Macedonia, Greece and immigrated to Canada in 1967. His family followed shortly after and settled in Toronto.

Mike is survived by Olga, his devoted wife of 62 years.

He will be forever remembered by his loving sons, Paul (Vassa), George (Vickey) and Tom (Wendy), by his eight cherished grandchildren, Mike (Elda), Chris (Maria), Vanessa (Adam), Nicholas, Gregory, Alexander, Rachel and Olivia and by his four treasured great-grandchildren, Paul, Sofia, Stefanie, Ari. Mike will be fondly remembered by siblings Telly (Lena), Vassa (Sam) and by countless extended family and friends who were blessed to know him.

Friends and family are invited to at tend visitation on Tuesday, July 28th from 2-9 p.m. at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home (8911 Woodbine Ave., Markham).

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 29th at 10 a.m. at St. Dimitrija Orthodox Church (201 Main St. North, Markham).

Suddenly as the result of a tragic accident on Sunday, July 26, 2015.

Kyle, in his 28th year, dearly beloved son of Jo-Anne (Jack) O'Quinn-Kallio and Randy (Brenda) O'Quinn. Cherished brother of Kaslyn Kallio, Laurie (Giustino) DiFonzo, Patty (Brad) Halls and Michelle (Patrick) Cerveira. Dear uncle of Anthony, Nicholas, Michael, Julia, Tyler, Alyssa, Madison, Seth and Brooklyn.

Fondly remembered by Gramps Kallio, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers.

To know Kyle is to understand his love of life and his "big" heart. He was a character like no other. Energy plus, with a get up and go motto.

Always willing to play a good game of cards, watch any sport with outrageous enthusiasm, dance any dance, golf with the best of them, share in witty commentary, sit still long enough to catch some fish and most recently, proudly fulfill a lifelong dream of owning a motorcycle.

God bless Ky, we love you! May you be blessed, with the strength of Heaven, the light of the sun and the radiance of the moon, the splendor of fire, the speed of lightning, the swiftness of wind, the depth of the sea the stability of Earth, and the firmness of rock.

Passed away peacefully in his 91st year with his family by his side on July 26, 2015 at Mackenzie Health Centre.

Reg was predeceased by his loving wife Alma to whom he was married for 67 years and was a devoted father to Wendy and Douglas (Meredith).

Predeceased by his son James. Loving grandfather to Jaime Kulik (Jeff), Reilly and Connor.

Father-in-law to Ed Calusinski. Reg and Alma met and married in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Shortly after their marriage, Reg served his country in WWII as a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force.

Over the years, they and their children lived in many cities in both Canada and the US.

A self-made man, Reg worked in a variety of fields, eventually becoming a senior executive with Allstate Insurance and later a successful entrepreneur in a variety of business ventures.

A private, family service will be held to celebrate Reg's remarkable life.

Thank you to the doctors and staff at MacKenzie Health for their compassion and caring.

Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or The Salvation Army.

Reg will be greatly missed by all of those who knew him and whose lives he touched.

Loving mother of Murray Wires of Ottawa and David Wires and his wife Susan of Toronto. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Shannon (Neil), Ryan (Julie), Mark (Nicolle), John (Allison) and Meredith and by her great grandchildren Luke, Rowan, Vivian, Islay and Scott.

Predeceased by her sister Jean Heinl. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle and friend.

John is survived by his mother Yolanda, sister Nancy and brother-in-law Italo and sister- in-law Valentina (Pina). He is predeceased by his father Agostino and brother Antonio (Tony). He is the proud godfather of many and treasured uncle to Jenine and James, Adriano and Diana, Francine and Ariel, Philip and Adelina and Francesco.

He is the "great" great-uncle to Jade, Isabella and Michael. His laughter, jovial personality and big heart will be sorely missed.

Surrounded by her loving family, Emma Cimolai passed away at the age of 91 (Humber River Hospital - Church Site).

Predeaceded by her loving husband Nello of 67 years.

Dearly loved and sadly missed by her children Monica (Franco Della – Schiava), Paul, Lidia (Hugh Atkin), Vilma (Nick Pistilli). Cherished by her eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Emma will be fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law, relatives and friends.

George worked at Micro Plastics in Acton, was passionate about the local Terry Fox community run, and completed his first marathon at the age of 59.

Marie will be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews and the Oulds and Haffenden families. Predeceased by her brother Robert "Bob" Keen, brother Wayne Oulds and brother- in-law Butch Harrington.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 11 a.m. with visiting one hour prior at the Glendale Funeral Home, 1810 Albion Road, Etobicoke. Interment to follow.

On Saturday, July 25th in his 88th year, passed peacefully in his sleep at Taunton Mills Retirement Home. 

Enormous gratitude to the Perry staff for providing such wonderful care.

Survived by his one true love & sweetheart JoAnne (Hamilton) married 61 years, forever love. He will always be in the hearts of his children, Mark & Sandie Harman, Kathleen (Harman) & Mike Smith, Maureen (Harman) & Paul Leslie and has left a treasured imprint on his loving grandchildren; Robert (Sandra-lee), Greg, Kyle (Melissa), Jennifer (Colin), Michael (Alley), Christopher & Thomas. Great Grandpa to James, Emily and Charlie.

Beloved son of the late Boniface and Marjorie Harman, brother of Helen Canning, late Myra Buckley & all his loving nieces and nephews.

Jack, born February 1, 1927 in Toronto had a very successful career in the security industry, retiring from DSC in 1993. Jack was an avid boater, skilled cabinet-maker, extensive reader, HAM radio enthusiast, always doing – never idle. 

 He was active in all of our lives, few words can express the gratitude, admiration, great love & pride that we have for our dad, he was an incredible man. His legacy will live on through us all & he will be forever missed.

Private family funeral services have been entrusted to BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, Whitby.

Peacefully at Regency Manor, on July 25, 2015 in her 91st year. Loving mother to Karen Lee (Bill), Rebecca Brown (Steve) and Jason Lee.

Beloved grandmother of Aaron, Jesse, Travis, Jody (Nicholas), James, Eric and Rachel. Great-grandmother of Matthew, Oliver, Madison, Brandon, Alice and Charlotte. Aunt to David Cozens (Denise) and Eric Cozens (deceased). Sister-in-law to Bobbie Lee. Predeceased by her husband Royal, mother Bertha Hall, sister Dorothea Cozens and brother Donald Hall.

Norma will be missed by her many friends and especially by her dear friend Margaret. Norma was very active in synchronized swimming both as a competitor and judge, art (oil/water painting) and the Orono Museum. With her husband Royal, they were also avid birders.

A special thank you to Dr. Schattner and Anita at the Durham Region Cancer Clinic in Oshawa for their excellent care. Also a special thank you to all the staff at Regency Manor in Port Hope for keeping her comfortable during her last days.

Visitation will be at the Newcastle Funeral Home, 386 Mill St. S., on July 29 from 11am to 1pm with a funeral service to follow at 1pm.

Following her wishes, her ashes will be interred beside her husband in Gananoque.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to women shelters, The Cancer Society or a  CHARITY of your choice.
