While a member of the Toronto Eglinton Rotary Club, he served as president and was awarded The Paul Harris Fellow Award. He was an avid Outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing trips with his brother.

Lynn was an active volunteer in Pediatrics at Scarborough Centenary Hospital, an avid curler and supporter of The Arts.

Upon retirement, they continued to enjoy travelling and eventually moved to Belleville to be close to family. Lynn and Al enjoyed many wonderful friendships in “The Rouge” as well as those in “The Adelphians”, Rotary and Bayview Golf Club.

They are survived by children Camille Hanlan, Terry Bannock, Michelle Bannock & her husband Bill Procter and Al’s brother Russell.

They were predeceased by sons Ronald and Dennis and Al’s sisters Eva and Molly. They will be fondly remembered by grandchildren Robin and Sam.

The family would like to thank the caring staff of Westgate Lodge and Hastings Manor.

At Lynn and Al’s request, they will rest together in Toronto. Arrangements out of Belleville.

BODDY, Wayne -

(July 6, 1952 - January 28, 2015)

Passed away at Sunnybrook Hospital after a brave fight with brain cancer on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at age 62.

Wayne will be missed in uncountable ways by his wife Sharron, daughter Cara, son-in-law Darryl, brother Allan, sister-in-law Darlene, nieces and nephews Alex, Meaghan, Michael and Tara, his dog Larry as well as his grandbaby Mavis (to whom he will always be "Grand-Waynie").

A special thanks to Wayne's neighbours who were so gracious with their time and help in the last year, especially Vern and Michelle.

Wayne had rediscovered his love of cycling in the last few years, was passionate about F1 racing and spent much of his free time learning about aviation and World War II, but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his friends, his colleagues and his family. He was a great story teller and a loyal friend.

Join his family for wine and hors d'oeuvres at Shrimp Cocktail, 843 King Street West, Oshawa on Sunday, February 8th from 12 -3 pm. Bring your stories and memories of Wayne.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Dr. Perry at Sunnybrook Hospital for his ongoing research regarding glioblastoma would be appreciated.

Arrangements entrusted to MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY at 905-443-3376.
