Retired, Provincial Court of Ontario Cecil John (Jack) Cannon passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, at Toronto East General Hospital, on August 26, 2015, at the age of 90.

Predeceased by his wife Doris. Loving father of Dave (Anne), of Caledon; Laurie Price (Bruce), of Ajax; and Steve (Fatima), of Toronto. Proud grandfather of Michelle, Amanda, Lindsay (Ty), Ashley (Troy), Dennis, Jessica, and Sabrina. Great-grandfather of Cailey, William and Nicholas. Predeceased by sisters Joyce and Nancy.

Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of the ICU/CCU at Toronto East General for their care and compassion, and for making Jack comfortable in his final days. The family would like to offer their immense gratitude to the wonderful staff of Leaside Retirement Residence, which was Jack's home for the past 9 years. The dedication and genuine care they provided will be forever remembered. Jack was born in Newcastle, Ontario, and grew up in Oshawa and then Toronto.

He was an avid athlete and, blessed with an amazing memory, excelled academically. Jack attended Forest Hill Collegiate and graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1950. He and Doris were married in 1950 and had three children over the next five years. Jack began his legal career with a partnership (Lawson, Cannon & Fediow), then became the lawyer for the Borough of East York. He was appointed as a Judge in 1970, fully retiring in 2000.

He was known as a strict Judge with a strong sense of fairness and compassion.

Cremation has taken place. There will be a private family burial.

A Memorial Reception will be held at York Cemetery, 160 Beecroft Road, North York, on Saturday, September 12 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Passed away peacefully at the age of 79 surrounded by his family at the Trillium Hospital in Mississauga on August 26, 2015. Luigi is survived by his two sons Rob and Steve and his cherished grandchild Ella.

Peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Caressant Care in Lindsay, at age 97.

Anne (nee Griffith), dearly loved wife of the late Edgar Emerson of Nestleton. Loved mother of Ian (Maura) of Nestleton, Chris of View Lake, Greg (Heather) of Collingwood, and Doug (Tracey) of Toronto.

Loving grandmother of Brick, Jordan, Summer, Erika, Geoff, Brad, Kyle and Alex and great grandmother of Lucas and Joshua.

Anne is survived by her sister Gwyn Griffith and she was predeceased her sister Bona Mary Duncan.

The family of Anne Emerson will receive family and friends at the Wagg Funeral Home, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry, Ontario on Friday, August 28th from 7 - 9 p.m.  A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, August 29th at 11 a.m. Interment will follow.

Loving father of Cheryl Gorny, Carole Nollner (Ron) and Cathy Santogrosso (Rob). Cherished Pa to Brandon, Rachel, Ashley, Kyle and Ryan. He will also be missed by his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, friends and all of the people from Evergreen Retirement Home.

The family would like to thank all of the doctors and compassionate nurses from the palliative care ward at Credit Valley as well as the lovely ladies from Bayshore who helped Dad over the last few months. We sincerely are so appreciative of the support you showed us and also the way you helped our Dad live the last little while by keeping him comfortable and showing him so much love.

To honour Dad's wishes, a funeral will not be held. The family shared an intimate gathering to say goodbye.

We would like to invite you all to a Celebration of Dad's life which will take place at Evergreen Retirement Home, 820 Scollard Court in Mississauga on Sunday, August 30th from 4 to 6 p.m. with a special tribute to him taking place at 5 p.m.

Dad's love of music and dancing will be the theme of this gathering so please wear bright colours.

Survived by his beloved wife, Georgette (nee Monsour). Dear father of Curtiss (Marica), and Dale (Tessa). Cherished grandfather of Tarragh (Emry), Tahylor, Dana (Brent), Curtiss (Sarah). Proud great-grandfather of Wyatt, Georgia, and Bennet.

Lester will be sadly missed by extended family and friends.

Les was born in 1925 to James and Ruth Law (McQuestion) and was raised in Chalk River. He was overseas with the RCAF in World War II and did stints as Communications Officer and Tail Gunner in the Lancaster Bomber. He worked at Canadian Pacific Railway for 40 years rising to Supervisor of the Customer Service Centre in Sudbury and Smiths Falls.

He married Georgette Monsour in Mattawa on July 14, 1948 having met her after returning home from the war where she was a teacher in Chalk River. After retiring in 1983, Les and Georgette spent their winters in Bradenton Florida, enjoying the sun and many family visits. They loved travelling and saw a great deal of the world.

They'd lived in Chalk River, Sudbury, Smiths Falls, Chatham and London before moving this June to Burlington.

Visitation will be held at Smith's Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line, Burlington, Ontario on Tuesday, September 1st from 12 - 1pm, followed by a funeral service in the funeral home beginning at 1pm.

He passed away peacefully at Scarborough Grace Hospital on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, in his 81st year.

Beloved husband of Rosalie. A caring father to Kelly (Charleen) and Ken (Andrea).

Mel was a Toronto Firefighter for 30 years. He loved playing hockey, baseball and was an avid swimmer, which he still did until age 75.

He will be missed.

A special thank you to Mary Lou and Terry who were there to help and support us.

We want to thank all of the caregivers at Scarborough Grace Hospital.
