Loving and ever supportive mother of John and Sachi, Paul and Laurie, and Diane. Cherished grandmother of Alex, Jessica, Dylan, Sean and Ian. Born July 13, 1931 in Eldorado, Ontario. As a child she moved, as her father's CN job required, residing in Trenton, Belleville and Peterborough.
Dorothy moved to Toronto to study fashion at Ryerson University, working as a photography stylist until retirement. Dorothy loved sewing, her garden, shopping for gifts, Christmas and a good bottle of scotch. Most of all, she loved her grandchildren and was Nana Dorothy to many.
Independent and spirited till the end, she will be greatly missed.
A private cremation service has already taken place.

A wonderful Nana to Shelie and Tiffany, Lynne, Nancy, Steven, Roger, Denise, Tammy, Leona, Sean, Julie, Sam and David.
She was a great nana to 20 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.

After a 10 year battle with Alzheimer's, Marion passed away peacefully in her 91st year at Hillsdale Estates on Monday, November 12th 2012, with her family by her side.
Predeceased by her loving husband William of 57 years.
Devoted and loving mother of Bruce (Elizabeth) and Sue Dickinson, and predeceased by her daughter Ellen Loverin. Fondly remembered by grandchildren Tammy, Alexandra, Colin, Jeff, and Tori. Sadly missed by brother Ron McDonald and sister-in-laws Dorothy McKenna, Bonnie McDonald, Frayne McDonald and Helen McDonald.

Knowing he was loved and his family would be okay, Randy "finished his life" at home in Newmarket, November 12, 2012, after valiantly living with a brain tumor for 10 years.
Wife of 29 years, Edith and daughters Madeline and Julia will fondly remember Duke's unwavering love and affection and passion for the outdoors.
Randy was the fourth of five children to Robert and Eleanor Burch, dependable brother to Lynn, Richard, Robert and Blair.
He dedicated 17 years of active service to City of Toronto Fire Department.

Gerard was known not only for his generosity and kindness, but also for his talent and his passion for figure skating.
His photography stood out among athletes and professionals in the industry. Gerard is credited with creating and designing The Figure Skating Calendar, which was first published in 1987 and has achieved great success over the last 25 years.
His photography has also been published and featured in several figure skating books and media publications.
He will be sadly missed by family, friends and fans alike.
There will be a private service for Gerard held in Mississagua, on November 16th.

John passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, on Monday, November 12, 2012 in his 90th year.
Loving husband of the late Margaret Crowther (nee Mills). Dear father of Valerie, Eric and his wife Karri, Pamela and her husband Neil Killens. Proud grandfather of Rachel and Michael and his wife Eleana and proud great-grandfather of their son, Finnegan John. He will be sadly missed by his sister Joyce, brother David, and many nieces and nephews.
John enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy in 1942, and later served as a radar operator on the H.M.C.S. Orangeville. Upon his discharge in 1945, John entered the University of Toronto. Graduating in 1948, John entered into a long teaching career.
He retired as Vice-Principal of Newmarket High School in 1983.
He served as Chairman of Newmarket Library Board (1968 - 1971), was a former member of the York Region Amateur Radio Club and for several years volunteered with the Arthritis Society. John was an avid sailor and golfer.
Memorial Service on Wednesday, November 28th.
Private family interment.

71, of Mississauga, succumbed to lung cancer surrounded by his family on November 12, 2012.
Bill is survived by his wife Nancy, daughter Valerie (Henry), sons Dwaine (Robyn), Curtis (Kim) and Shawn (Kym) and step-son David Nantais.
He is predeceased by parents Margaret and Martin Cruise, sisters Helen, Kerry and Darlene and brother Bernard. He is survived by his first wife Lois, brothers and sisters Marjorie, Marilyn (Ed), Vernon (Doreen), Larry (Joan), Diane (Bob), Donnie (Marita), twin Bonnie (Joachim) and Judy. He is also survived by his grandchildren (in birth order) Mike, Jeff, Crystal, Scott, Tim, Melissa, Courtney, Carly, Brian, Jesse, Nicholas, Samantha, Madison, Danielle, Noah, Jordan and Nicole and great-granddaughters Isabella and Emma as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. Bill was an amazing man and loving father, husband, grandfather, great- grandfather and friend to all.
Bill was born in Renfrew, Ontario on May 30, 1941. He served as President for 5 years in the Bramalea Seniors Lions Club before it was disbanded and received the Helen Keller award.
He also donated blood regularly.
Bill could always be counted on if someone needed help and many people will feel his loss. His final gift was the gift of sight to a stranger through donation of his eyes.
A special thank you to the nurses and doctors in ICU at Mississauga Trillium hospital for their loving care and support to Bill and his family.
A celebration of his life will be held at Octavian (Best Western hotel), 559 Bloor St. W, Oshawa, Ontario on Saturday, November 17th at 6 p.m.

HOLLOWAY, Stuart Whitworth -
April 15th, 1943 – November 12th, 2012
Stuart was born in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, England, the second son of Joan and Jim Holloway. The family came to Canada in 1948 after WWII and settled in Burlington, Ont.
In 1967, Stuart began a career in broadcasting at a number of stations in South Central Ontario including CFTG - Galt, Cambridge, CKTB and CHSC - St. Catharines, CJOY - Guelph and CBC - Toronto. He became well known for his voicing of the famous phrase, 'It's worth the drive to Acton.' His broadcasting career spanned more than 30 years and he mastered many aspects of the profession including sales, marketing and recording. In 1975 Stu became a freelancer on the syndicated radio travel show: 'It's Your World,' which continued for 23 years.
In later years, Stu became Canada's busiest and most respected Air Show narrator. He has flown with The Snowbirds, piloted the Good Year Blimp and restored a Fleet Canuck to its original pristine condition. For 32 years he was the narrator of the CNE Air Show in Toronto. During his freelance years, his veteran voice was heard on CBC's Radio Noon.
In 1995, he was instrumental in designing the software to turn a computer into a miniature radio station. These computerized systems are now used in shopping centres across Canada and at Toronto's Pearson Airport. Stu won major marketing awards for projects completed for Atomic Energy, Labatt's and The Olde Hide House.
For the last several years Stu fulfilled a lifelong dream of living aboard his Fisher 34' North Sea sailing boat in the Port Credit Harbor where he made many wonderful memories with his friends.
Stu is predeceased by his mother Joan, father Jim and brother Martin. He is survived by his brother Chris of Ottawa and sister Alix Sue Bishop of Vancouver.
Stu was blessed to have many great friends who gave him tremendous support and encouragement. Chris and Sue would particularly like to thank Craig Barber, Mia Holmgren, Peter Asfar, Larry Mead, Tobyn Matson, Monique Bresner, Paul Corriveau, Leslie Garret, Kerry Brown, Dan Upshall, Rob Duckworth, Neil Armstrong, Pat Winter, Terry Henry, Bruce and Margaret, Ron and Katharine and Gary and Linda who came so close to Stu in his lifetime.
We would also like to express our sincere thanks to the community at the Port Credit Marina, in particular Les and Doug, the staff at the Trillium Hospital and PCJ Santa Maria of the Peel Regional Police.
A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 18th, at the Trinity Anglican Church, 16 Stavebank Road, Mississauga.

LACHAPELLE, Avery Howard Francis "Bravery" -
After a long and courageous battle, we announce with sadness our brave warrior Avery lost his battle with leukemia on Monday, November 12, 2012 at the age of 13.
Most loved and cherished son of Tricia (Billy), and Bryan (Teri). Adored brother of Kaison and Kaitlyn. Beloved grandson of Susan “Crazy Nanny”, Kevin, Raymond (Rose), and Shelley (Ian). Great-grandson to Audrey. Loving nephew of Kerri, Jennifer (John), Lisa, Jenn, “Uncle Danny”, Allan, John (Brenda), and Catherine (Todd).
Avery will also be fondly remembered by his cousins Tyler, Sheldon, Kristen, Daniel, Tai, Jaedon, Andrea, Amanda, Sheridan, Taya, Alexus, and Quinten. Predeceased by his papa Archie.
Avery was a student at Adelaide Hoodless Public School before he attended Smith Public School in Grimsby.
Avery was a hero and inspiration to many. He always had the ability to put a smile on your face. Although he battled leukemia for most of his life, he never complained about his illness and faced it with courage, bravery and dignity. He will be dearly missed and always loved by his family and many friends.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at McMaster Children’s Hospital and The National Institute of Health with a special thank you to Dr. Athale.
In memory of Avery, the family asks that you wear something red or blue on Friday, Avery’s favourite colours.
Funeral Service will take place on Friday, November 16, 2012 in Burlington. Interment to follow.
