After a lengthy illness on Monday, October 8, 2012 passed away at Meighen Manor.
Beloved husband of Carol(Travnik). Devoted father of Andrea (Jeremy Burge) and Derek (Margo Mueller). Loving grandfather of Maggie and Roxy Webb and Rhys and Tessa Burge.
Barrie was born, raised and lived his whole life in Toronto. He attended Jarvis Collegiate, received his B. Comm at U of T and L.L.B. at Osgoode Hall. This vibrant man will be missed, but fondly remembered by his family, his wide circle of friends, his colleagues and his clients.
The family wishes to thank the dedicated and caring staff at Baycrest Hospital and Meighen Manor.

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Momoyo Jane Azuma on October 7, 2012 at the age of 90.
She leaves to mourn her beloved husband Arthur Minoru Azuma, children Jeri (Allen), Kirby (Donetta); grandchildren Sara, Sheri, Scott, Jaime; great-grandson Robbie.
She was predeceased by her two brothers and two sisters. In her working life, Jane spent many happy years working in kindergarten classes for the Toronto Board of Education. For years, Jane and Art spent many enjoyable nights out ballroom dancing with a large group of friends.
In retirement, Jane loved to practice and teach Tai Chi at the Toronto Buddhist Church where she made many new friends.
She led a full and active life. Her optimism, generosity and cheerful smile will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A 49th day memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Toronto Buddhist Church.

WWII Veteran
June 26, 1922 - October 7, 2012
Peacefully at The Woodhaven, Markham. Freddy was in his 91st year.
He was the beloved husband of Doris (nee Curry) for 68 wonderful years.
Devoted dad to Brian ("Beave") and Bev, Mark ("Muck") and Karen. Proud Grandpa to adoring grandsons, Brooks and Brendan. Fred is survived by his sister, Betty Rose of Thunder Bay. Fred's smiles and chuckles will forever be cherished by the many nieces and nephews. "Dood" loved the great outdoors and found his calling with The Boy Scouts of Canada, as he rose through the ranks.
In his younger days, he loved nothing more than to jump into his "unusual" bathing attire to show off his aquatic skills.
Following his WWII service in the RCAF, Fred studied Medicine at MCGill, followed by a career in Medical Administration at a number of Toronto Hospitals.
One last callout to all the Ham Radio Operators from VE3BFB 73. Brian and Mark are forever grateful for the countless trips and time spent at arenas and sports fields. He showed us the true meaning of fun and friendship through sports.
The family wishes to express their thanks to devoted staff of Stouffville Creek and The Woodhaven for the superb care of Freddy.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 12th.
Private interment.

It is with the deepest sorrow that the family announces the sudden passing of Robert George Ronald Beattie, a kind and gentle husband, father, grandfather and brother, on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at home in his sleep in his 76th year.
Bob was the beloved husband of Mary Beattie (nee Graesser), loving father of Kent Beattie, Erica Tucker (Tim) and the late Craig Beattie (Shannon), devoted grandfather of Robert and Ashleigh Beattie and Ethan and Emily Tucker, and loving brother of Joyce Reid (Bud).
Bob was born December 6, 1936 in Toronto, and lived for nearly 50 years in Etobicoke where he raised his family and where in 1984 he founded the Used Car Dealers' Association of Ontario (the UCDA) with seven original members. The UCDA, a not-for-profit association which now boasts over 4800 motor vehicle dealers across Ontario, is a lasting testament and memorial to Bob's dedication and commitment to his members, and to the strength and focus that he exhibited in every facet of his life.
Bob loved reading, history, politics, photography and travel, and enjoyed spending summers at the family cottage on Bruce Beach, Lake Huron, where he loved to sit on the deck with a book in his hand, listening to the waves and waiting for the beautiful sunsets. But the most important thing to Bob was his family.
He was kind, generous and supportive, interested and curious, a life long husband, friend and companion to his wife Mary, and a father, friend and teacher to his children and grandchildren.
Bob's smile could light up a room, and he will be lovingly remembered, but deeply missed, by all who knew him.
The service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2012 at St. George's on-the-Hill, 4600 Dundas Street West, Etobicoke, with interment in Etobicoke. A reception will follow from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Guildhall at The Old Mill, 21 Old Mill Road, Etobicoke.

COLWELL, Mary Jane -
Mary Jane Colwell, 88, died peacefully on the evening of Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Monarch Hall in Riverview where she had resided for several years.
Born in Toronto, Ontario, in 1924 to Thomas and Sarah Blair (MCGee) Wright, she had one older brother, Tommy (deceased). Her singing talent while a student at Parkdale Collegiate led her to be an original member of the Leslie Bell Singers, with whom she toured extensively in her late teens.
She was an active volunteer with the Red Cross and the War Blind in Toronto before marrying A. Marshall Colwell (deceased) and moving with him to New Brunswick, first to Moncton and later Fredericton.
Mary Jane sang in the church choirs of Mount Royal United Church in Moncton and Wilmot United Church in Fredericton for many years.
She was a proud and active member of the IODE in both communities at both the local and provincial levels and was awarded national life membership in April of 2009.
Mary Jane is survived by her daughters Dr. Sarah Jane Colwell of Moncton and Martha Lane of Cambridge, Ontario and by her grandchildren Vanessa Emery of Moncton and Geoffrey Emery of Fredericton.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff of Monarch Hall for their excellent care and thoughtfulness. In honouring Mary Jane's wishes, no visitation hours.
Funeral Service to be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995) on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Dr. James MACDonald officiating. Reception following.

Victor Emil Daneliuk, 73, of Oakville, Ontario, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.
Victor is survived by his son, Kevin (Tammy) Daneliuk and grandchildren Victoria and Daniel; his daughter, Karen Daneliuk; and his brothers Ben (Muriel) Daneliuk and Carl Daneliuk of Edmonton, Alberta; along with several nieces and nephews.
Victor is pre-deceased by his brother, Bill (Marie) Daneliuk, and his parents Anne and John Daneliuk.
Victor enjoyed watching football and golf. He also enjoyed playing pool, dishing out a good joke, and relaxing with his family.
The family will welcome friends on Saturday, October 13, 2012 in Oakville.
Victor's ashes will be laid to rest in Alberta with his parents.

Passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012 in Toronto, ON at the age of 83.
Loving, caring, passionate husband to Helen Doby, guiding, loving father to Helen Rotolo and popular, protective, fun and outgoing grandfather to Kristina Rotolo, Brandon and Caitlyn Gallacher. Not only was William an amazing husband, father and grandfather but he was a true and sincere friend to those that crossed his path. Bill had been a painter in the early years after coming to Canada from Yugoslavia.
It is here where he learned the English language, met all of his friends and started his family. It is also where his true passion for hockey (more specially the Montreal Canadiens) began.
Bill was known for his laughter, his smile and how he was able to make the whole room light up.
Always the life of the party, Bill knew how to make people laugh and have a good time.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church (432 Sheppard Avenue East).

Pre- deceased by her brothers George and Kenneth Hunt and her sister Phyllis Flavelle.

LYONS, Lawrence -
It is with sadness that the family of Lawrence Lyons announces his passing on October 7th, 2012 at Ian Anderson House in Oakville, surrounded by loved ones in his 93rd year.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Sheila, children Julie, Dave (Patti), and grandchildren Annie and Rachael.
Born in London, England on January 20, 1920, 'Laurie' enlisted in the British Army at the age of 19 and served overseas as a member of the Royal Signals in North Africa and Italy.
He emigrated to Canada (Toronto) in 1951 and worked as a compositor and proof-reader for Cooper and Beatty and The University of Toronto Press.
Laurie will be fondly remembered as an avid gardener, painter, square dancer, a lover of old movies and jazz and his beautiful watercolour Christmas cards.
Laurie loved reading, politics, football, travel, and the view from the deck at the cottage in Haliburton.
A memorial service will be held later in the fall at Ian Anderson House (on Winston Churchill Blvd).
The family is deeply grateful for the great care provided by the staff at the hospice in his last days.
Donations, if you wish, to Ian Anderson House would be well appreciated.

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Marlene at the Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga, on Sunday, October 7, 2012.
Beloved wife of Brian for 37 years.
Loving mother of Sherry and Jeffrey (Antonina). Much loved sister of Ruby Ozenbrook, Gwen Rennie, Joan Chapman, Roy Ridout (Blanche), Al Ridout (Mary) and the late Bob Ridout. Marlene will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
