It is with great sadness our family announces the sudden passing of a truly great gentleman on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Trillium Health Center, Mississauga.

He died, as he lived, with strength, dignity and much love.

He was surrounded by his wife Marjorie of 63 years, his children Mike (Risa), Bill (Margaret) and Sue (Mike) and his 6 grandchildren, Alissa, Tom, Stephen, Sarah, Shannon and Michael. Bill was the son of the late Margot Collins and the late E.P. (Red) Powell and is also survived by his siblings John (Sharon), Mary (Terry), Tim (late Joanne) and Jim (Maureen) Powell. Bill enjoyed a career in the graphic design business.

In accordance with Bill's wishes, a private family interment will take place.

Many thanks to the doctors and nurses at Mississauga Trillium Hospital.

She is leaving behind 2 brothers; Frank & Eddy, 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

March 16, 1933 to March 4, 2014

Phil passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital after living a full life.

He was married for 59 years to the love of his life, Elizabeth, often referred to as Ruth.

Loving father of Brian (Ann Marie) and Debbie Coughlin (Jim). Proud grandfather of Shaun, Allison, Tyler and Kelsey.

Brother of the late Ian Stuart. Will also be missed by his sister-in-law Thelma Stuart Linklater and all of his nieces and nephews.

Beyond family, Ontario Hydro was his other passion where he worked for over 40 years before retiring in 1993.

Service will be held in Scarborough on May 10th.

The family sincerely thanks the staff in the B5 intensive care unit for their care and compassion during Phil's final days.

Family and friends mourn the loss of Jayne Thomas, intrepid gardener, extraordinary friend, who died at home on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 after a brief illness.

She was 69.

Daughter of the late Lloyd and Elsie (Petrie) Thomas, Jayne was predeceased by her beloved husband Andrew Stewart Maxwell, step- daughter Linda Jarvis and brother, Graeme Thomas. She is survived by brother Paul (Helen) Thomas, nephew Greg (Cari) Thomas, great- nephew Cole and great-niece Cameron, step-daughter Catherine (Frank Belzil) Maxwell, son-in-law Stewart Jarvis. She will be lovingly remembered as Grandma Jayne by Sheena, Sean, Claire and Andrew.

She lives on in the hearts of best friends Penny Ganetakos and Barbara Gould and all who loved her.

Blessed with a beautiful voice, exceptional vocal range and a passion for music, young Jayne seemed destined for a career in opera, but while studying music at McGill University, she decided she couldn't be Joan Sutherland and Jayne being Jayne, she saw no point in continuing.

A tree will be planted in an Etobicoke Park in Jayne's honour. Contributions may be made through any branch of TD Canada Trust, Transit No. 193, Account 6428400.

Friends and family will gather to celebrate Jayne at the Old Mill, Sunday, June 22nd, 2-5 p.m.

Lovingly remembered by her children Gregory (Susan), Christopher (Glenda), Peter (Lynne), Timothy (Lori, deceased) and Lesley-Anne (deceased 1986). Dear Gramma of Andrea, Cameron, Clark, Emily, Sarah, Rebecca, Catherine, Mallory, Jeremy, Jordan and Matthew; and Great-Grandmother of Joshua, Jacob, Noah, Madeline, Sophie and Chloe.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 7th. Interment will be held at a later date.

Peacefully after a brief illness on Monday, March 3, 2014.

Marg, wonderful daughter of Dr. Frank and Rita Browne.

Loving mother of Heidi, Courtney, Meaghan and the late Jonathan. Sister of Teresa (Jim Dessailly), Catherine (Peter Smith), Paul (Melissa), Pete, Patrick (Elizabeth) and the late Michael. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved dog Pepper. Margaret was an early graduate of the RNA program in North York (Bethesda), a gifted artist and pianist.

She will be remembered for her quick wit, big heart and unending love for her family. She will forever hold a place in our hearts.

We are indebted to the ICU staff at Mount Sinai Hospital for their expertise and, graciousness. 

Funeral Mass on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 10 a.m. in Annunciation of Our Lady Church (Victoria Park south of Ellesmere).

Memorial donations to CAMH would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Douglas (Doug, Dougie) John Bush was born on July 15, 1953 in Toronto, Ontario. 

Born to a military family, Doug was to move around the country from base to base constantly making new friends and sharing experiences.

It was this background that gave rise to the man we all knew and loved.  Doug loved people, especially children, and his endearing personality and generous nature were gifts he shared with everyone he met.  Cherished son of Jack and Jean, brother of Deb and David, uncle of Jennifer, Shannah, Nicholas and Jackson and great-uncle of Vienna and Tristan, Doug was a true family man.

Doug will be remembered as a kind, giving and loving man by his family and friends and will be dearly missed. 

Service in Uxbridge on Saturday, March 22nd.

Grandfather of Sophie, Maxwell, Mackenzie, Kennedy, Madison, Scarlet and Sailor. He is predeceased by his parents and brother Vernon. Arthur is survived by his siblings Archie, Fred, Murray, Erma, June and Irene.

A funeral service will be held in Oakville on Monday, March 10th.

Our son, Shayne passed away suddenly by taking his own life on Monday, March 3, 2014.

Shayne was a very caring, warm and loving young man with the biggest heart of anyone. Shayne enjoyed and cared deeply for all his friends and family. He touched and changed the lives of anyone who knew him and he will be dearly and deeply missed by all. We are all better for having known him.

He loved sports, music and had a passion for gaming on either his Xbox or Playstation. He was a very gifted student and had a bright future ahead of him. He planned to be a pilot/engineer in the Canadian Armed Forces.

Shayne was loved by many and leaves behind his grief-stricken family; father Melvin, mother Deborah, sisters Meaghan and Shannan. Aunts: Linda, Heather, Doreen, Patricia, Pamela, Carol, (recently departed Geraldine), grandparents; Teresa & Andy, Joan, uncles; Thomas, Raymond, Edgar, Gilles, Ralph, Doug (Doogie), Desmond (Desi), Dave & John.

He will also be deeply missed by many more cousins and family in Canada, Ireland and Scotland.
