John spent many years as a Boy Scout, Cub Leader (Brooklin), was a successful racing pigeon flyer. A man skilled with his tools in building his barn, coops and restoring his heritage home and property (Brooklin).

Mike passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 17, 2013 the eve of his 66th birthday, after a courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease).

Margaret (Taylor) (nee Gaunt) his beloved wife was at his side.

He will be sadly missed by his loving mother, Mary (late Steve), brother Ron (Cathy), loving and loved children: Andrew, Chris, Martina (Kevin) and their mother Donna. His grandchildren Ryan and Justin will miss their Grampa Mike, especially at their hockey games.

Fondly remembered by his extended family and his many friends.

Margaret's family in Canada and England will cherish his memory. 

Service to celebrate Michael's life on Thursday May 23rd.  Private cremation.

Peacefully at the Sunnybrook Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Friday, May 17, 2013 one day shy of his 66th birthday.

Beloved husband for 40 years to Lynne (nee Nelson).

Adored and devoted Dad of Shannon and Brad "Buddy". Much loved brother of Pearl (Cec), Jim (Eileen), Ruby (the late Leslie), Margaret (Cliff), Erwin (the late Cathy) and sister-in-law Joan. Predeceased by his siblings Dave, Patsy (Davis), his parents Willis and Bessie Ralph. Lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and by Lynne's sister Lee (Bob) and brother Wayne. He will be reunited with our beautiful dog Shana. Clay was an extremely proud "Newfie" and cherished his heritage. He spent 28 years driving for the TTC, followed by 10 years at Toronto Tours as a guide.

He was a very grateful, proud and active member of Alcoholics Anonymous for over 21 years where he met hundreds of special friends at Chartwell, Pine Hills, and most recently the Hill Group. He enjoyed marshalling meetings at the ORC for many years. Clay was a faithful fan of the Blue Jays and Leafs.

He will leave a lasting impression with his wonderful spirituality, sense of humour, grace, determination and unwavering commitment to his family, many friends and AA.

After spending a warm winter in Yuma, Arizona, he fought his short illness with the same optimism as he lived his life.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 23rd.

Loving Uncle to Krista, Dean, Emily and Sara. Dave is survived by his brother Barry (Luanne) Salvisburg.

Dave spent most of his career at the LCBO, retiring in 2003 to spend winters at our “little paradise” in the Bahamas.

Family and friends are heartbroken to lose such an incredible wonderful man.

A Service of Remembrance will be celebrated in Burlington on Wednesday, May 22nd. Cremation has taken place.

Savage_JohnIn his 87th year, passed peacefully in his sleep at Wellesley Central Place in Toronto, on Friday, May 17, 2013.

Doc had a full life. He was raised in a loving family in Toronto, where he worked as an advertising executive.

Doc had the opportunity to travel the globe extensively before retiring to the gentle shores of Sturgeon Point. Doc served this tight knit community that meant so much to him for years as it’s Reeve, a job that was very endearing to him.

Doc was very fond of the arts, and was an avid supporter of The Canadian Opera Company and The National Ballet of Canada.

Doc knew what it was to give back to the community that he lived in, and volunteered on countless community projects, to name a few... Case Manor in Bobcaygeon, Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, The Peterborough AIDS Resource, and The Victoria and Northumberland County.

Doc was a gracious host, and valued friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He has joined his closest friends, Joe Rivard and Brent Savoy who have passed a few years ago.

A Celebration of Doc's Life will be held at St. James Anglican Church, 19 Bond Street, Fenelon Falls on Thursday evening, May 23rd at 7:00 p.m. A reception will follow in the adjoining church hall.

If desired, memorial donations to the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation or the St. James Anglican Church would be much appreciated.

Jack was a retired Police Officer of the Toronto Police Services after 34 years of service and was also a dedicated member of the Toronto Police Pipe Band for over 35 years.

Margaret passed away peacefully on May 17 at Ian Anderson House surrounded by her family after a hard fought battle with cancer.

Margaret will be greatly missed by Ralph, her adoring husband of 61 years. Cherished mother of Lucy, Doug and his wife Linda, Jim and his wife Marie, Peter and his wife Christine, Nancy and her partner Tina. Loving grandmother of Stephen, Brian, Kevin, Jeremy, Amy and her husband Pat, Christy, and Cameron. Dear great-grandmother of Jacob and Claire Margaret (to arrive in September). Predeceased by her parents Herb and Nancy Lord and her sister Irene Shaw. Margaret will be sadly missed by her brother Walter Lord and his wife Bernice, brother in law Gary Shaw, and brother in law Bob Cowen, as well as many nieces, nephew,s and friends.

Daughter of Vera and Albert Andrews and younger sister of Carol.

Also mourned by loving nephew Nicolas Roy and niece Vanessa Foran (Adam), and great-nieces Olivia and Kate Foran.

Claire attended Jarvis Collegiate and graduated with distinction from Trinity College, University of Toronto (Class of '63). Qualified as a teacher of Modern Languages, she taught abroad and in Canada (Bishop Strachan School). Delicate health intervened, but Claire continued to study and work for the church, receiving a Diploma in Theology at the University of St. Michael's College.

A lifetime active member of the World Community for Christian Meditation and a dedicated Associate of the Anglican Sisters of St. John the Divine.

If desired, donations may be made there in her memory.

In her last illness, we give thanks for the generous kindness of many friends and fellow members of the Paul Kane House Co-op, and the amazing care of Drs. Tepper and Khan at Bridgepoint Healthcare.

Cremation by her request with no funeral.

Baker_DrJohnIt is with utmost sadness and heartache that we announce the sudden passing of Jack on May 16th, 2013, in his 64th year.

Jack was a man of travel, and he passed away enjoying life during holidays with his wife in Whistler, British Columbia.

 Raised in Carleton Place, Ontario Jack was the long time high school sweetheart, best friend, and husband of Donna.

Jack was the heart and soul of his family, and leaves behind his three children Courtney (David Howie), John, Victoria (Joe Papik), and mother-in-law, Mae Johnson.

He will be endlessly missed by his two young grandchildren Carson and Vivienne Howie, and his furry four-legged pal “Rod”.

Jack leaves behind sisters and brothers, and many nieces and nephews in Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver, and his wonderful staff who worked beside him everyday.

Life has been stolen from Jack too soon, but his love and passion for his family and friends will live on forever.

Beloved husband of the late Irene Pearl Blore, nee Shelton (2010).

Adored father of Lynda and the late Larry McDonald, Cathy and the late Bob Krueger, Jim and Gail Blore, Don and Cori Blore, Nicole Blore, Sandy and Terry Alyman, and Kelly Blore.  Loved grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Russell is survived by his sister Betty Best and sisters-in-law Jen Blore and Jean Blore.  Also remembered by his lifelong friend Victor Best and his wife Mary.

Russell was a veteran of WWII, serving with the Royal Canadian Navy in the North Atlantic aboard HMCS Frontenac from 1943 - 1945. 

Cremation has taken place.  A Memorial Service will be held in Waterdown on Friday, May 24th. 

The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Martha's Landing for their support and attention. Also, Dr. Garland and the 4 East Staff for the special care they provided.

Unexpectedly on Thursday, May 16th, 2013 at 51 years of age.

Loving husband and best friend of Stacey.

Proud Dad of Stephan, Courtney, Brock and Maddison. Loving son of Joe and Liz Bosco.

Dear son-in-law of John and the late Margaret Feeney. He will be sadly missed by his brother Steve and his wife Joan and their daughter Elizabeth, his sister-in-law Charlene Doak, brother-in-law Sean Darch and his wife Cathy, his nephews Trevor, Mitchell, Scott, Colin and Aaron, his extended family and many friends.

Predeceased by his Dede and Baba, Steve and Marie Olin, Babcha and Dedo, Mary and Steve Boshkovich.

Eric was his children’s number 1 supporter in Oshawa Minor Hockey, Whitby Minor Lacrosse and the Oshawa Figure Skating Club, and he was proud of his children with all of their accomplishments.

Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, May 22nd from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m.

Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, May 23rd at 2:00 p.m.
