Sonja passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 11, 2012.
She will be dearly missed by all whom she touched as a dedicated and inspiring teacher of 34 years at Madonna Catholic Secondary School.
Beloved wife of George, she was a friend, a mentor, a confidant, not only to him, but to all who entered the halls of Madonna CSS. Colleagues and students frequently remarked on her amazing style and outstanding class which Sonja would always cap with a contagious smile that shone like the sun. Sonja epitomized the ideals of student success in her everyday interactions long before it became a catch phrase in education. Her kindness and wisdom touched so many lives in so many special ways.
She is reunited with her loving parents, Anthony and Maria Stih. Loving daughter-in-law of George and Maria Kékesi, sister-in-law of Kathy Kékesi-LaFrance (Francis) and aunt to Kristina, Philippe, and François.
Mass and Reception to celebrate the life of Sonja will take place on Wednesday, June 13, at 5:30 p.m. at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, 182 Sixth Street (Islington and Lake Shore Blvd. W.).

Beloved wife of Bud and loving mother of Charlotte (Terry) Hemington and Larry (Patty) Mercier.
She was a devoted grandmother to Becky(Mike), Rob, Michelle(Matt), Jennie(Rob), Abby and Molly. She was a proud great- grandmother to Lucas, Emily, Jane, Dillon, Kinleigh and Harper and finally a caring sister to Ron (Jean) Ballinger of Niagara Falls.
Orean (Rene) moved to Uxbridge in 1957 with her family and met all the challenges sudden country life threw at her.
Throughout her life she excelled at whatever she put her mind to. She became interested in cake decorating and built a small home business creating elaborate birthday and wedding cakes. Her delicious chocolates will be missed by family, friends and neighbours. She had been an active participant in the community until her health began to fail. Most of all Rene enjoyed being surrounded by her family and being able to see her grandchildren and great- grandchildren brought a sparkle to her eyes. She was an amazing wife mother and friend. Rene will be greatly missed.
The family wishes to thank Dr. C. Doobay for his support and kindness as well as the palliative care nurses from St Elizabeth.
In addition we would like to thank the many friends and neighbours who have been there to provide support during the difficult times.

A wonderful father and grandfather, a great friend, a dreamer, a pioneer, a heart of gold who will be sadly missed.
Wilf was born in Carroll's Crossing, New Brunswick, and lived an exceptionally rich life.
He travelled the world, founded successful companies, raised a loving family, and brought joy and smiles to all who crossed his path. Wilf passed away peacefully at Perram House in the presence of his family after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife Litsa, his children Liza and Steven, his cherished grandson Evan, his brothers Glen (Janet) and Delbert (Bonnie), and his sisters Inez (late Allen) and Betsy (Jimmy).
Predeceased by parents Ralph and Grace, and his sister Sandra.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 17th.

Peacefully and comfortably just as she wanted, Janice Elizabeth Service (MCCall) passed away on May 11, 2012 with her husband of 40 years Greg and children Lindsay (Rob) and Drew (Shaun) by her side.
Janice will always be remembered by her father Alan and late mother Betty, brothers Jim (Bev), Murray and sister Mary (Craig). She loved her large extended family full of brother and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, "the girls" to whom she was CEO and her Toronto Blue Jays!
Janice's life was full of accomplishments including her career as Assistant Deputy Minister with the Ontario Government of which she was very proud.
She cherished her time spent at the cottage where she loved to host with good food, good drinks and "best in the bay" fireworks.
Following a private family service, all who wish to celebrate the life of Janice are invited to Janice and Greg's home between 4 and 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 17th.

Peter's full and active life sadly came to an end on May 10, 2012 at the age of 61.
He is loved and missed by Linda, Alexandra, Kate, Louise, Peter Sr., David and countless family, friends and colleagues.
Peter was a longtime member of the North York Concert Band, the National Yacht Club, the Maple Reefers Parrothead Club and the Ontario Professional Planners Institute.
The family would like to thank the wonderful palliative team who extended care and compassion to Peter and his family.

Born on May 27, 1961 and passed peacefully at the Milton District Hospital on Thursday, May 10, 2012 with her family at her side.
She is survived by her husband Joe, son Anthony and daughters Marion Rachel and Jacquelyn Susan. Daughter of Eleanor and the late Leonard Wm. Pickett. Sister of Wayne Pickett and Barry Pickett and aunt of many beloved nieces and nephews, brothers and sister-in-law.
Niece of Jack and Thelma Inglis and Margaret and Bert Gilmour, she will be sadly missed by all her cousins.
Susan was involved in many sports at school and a great baseball pitcher. She loved outdoor activities, especially making rock gardens etc. Everyone loved her outgoing personality and her wonderful sense of humour.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 18, 2012 in Milton.

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre at the age of 77, after a wonderful round-the-world trip with Marianne, his wife and love of 52 years.
Chuck and Marianne were pleased that their son, Ian, was also able to join them for the latter part of their last trip together.
Chuck taught for 40 years at Victoria College, University of Toronto. In addition to devoting himself to teaching and research, he had a passion for travel, tennis, trivia and long conversation-filled walks with Marianne. He will be fondly remembered by his family, friends, former students, colleagues and many travel companions from around the world.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 15th.

Special great-great-grandmother to Maria and Valeria in Ukraine. Sister Efruzyna Chudijevich in Ukraine and nephew Iwan with wife Tamara Chudijevich and sons Iwan and Mykola in Canada. Will be remembered by Andrijiw and Shuper families and their extended families, relatives and many friends and neighbours in Canada and Ukraine. With great appreciation to the dedicated care of Dr. L. Howard Sadinsky for more than 40 years.
Special thanks to Ulana Weleschuk and all the staff at Sts. Peter and Paul Senior Residence for their loving care and attention during her stay and especially in her final hours.

Passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie on Thursday, May 10th 2012 in his 83rd year.
Beloved husband of Chrisantie of 60 years. Dear father of Tom Karanfilis (Lori), Diane MacMillan (Eric) and Julie Mauti (Ivano).
Loving dedo of Erica, Bob, Andrew, Peter, Paul, Mathew, Daniela and great-grandfather of Stephen, Anna and Jane. Done will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends, especially his best friend Anthony “Papou.”
Done arrived in Canada from Macedonia in 1950 and was a successful owner of Thorncrest Village Restaurant (1958-1962) and Cousin Don’s Restaurant in Etobicoke (1962-1982).
He was known for his kind heart and incredible generosity and was loved by all.
A funeral service will be held in Stroud on Tuesday, May 15th. Interment to follow in Crown Hill.
