Cooper HaroldCOOPER, Harold Albert  -  In his 73rd year, after a courageous battle, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Stratford General Hospital. Born in Stratford, son of the late Harold and Theresa (Connolly) Cooper.

Predeceased by his loving partner Lucille Johnston .

Survived by his siblings Alexander (Glenna) Cooper of Bayfield, Betty Ann Vassallo (Steve Molnar) of London, Nancy Mead of Stratford and Eileen Becker of Stratford. Harold will be remembered by his nieces and nephews Theda, Joanne, Cheryl, Debbie, Karen, Alex, Brian and his special friends Ray Schweitzer and Roy and Shirley Pautler.

 

MARTIN, Elvina (Shantz)  -  Peacefully, on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at home, RR 1, Linwood, in her 78th year.

Wife of Clayton M. Martin.

Mother of Levi and Betty of Holyrood, Nancy Martin of Linwood, Elo of Brussels, Adam of Breslau, Allan and Laurene of Elmira, Lydia Martin of Linwood, and Jonas of Brussels. Survived by 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sisters Susannah Bauman of Floradale, Esther and Henry Wideman of Wallenstein, Lena and Osiah Bauman of Goldstone, Louisa and Vernon Martin of Elmira, and Nancy Shantz of Elmira, and brothers Ian and Esther Shantz of Wallenstein, Ervin and Lydia Shantz of Floradale, and Daniel and Salema Shantz of St. Jacobs, and brothers-in-law Alvin Metzger of Wallenstein and Joseph and Ada Martin of Massey.

 

BRUBACHER, Alice B.  -  Died unexpectedly on Friday, March 24, 2017, at the age of 13 years.

Daughter of Ivan and Anna (Bowman) Brubacher of St. Clements. Sister of Vera, Edgar, and Erma, all at home. Survived by her paternal grandparents Henry and Salome Brubacher of West Montrose, maternal grandparents Wesley and Elvina Bowman of St. Clements, and great-grandmother Magdalena (Mrs. Ezra) Martin of St. Clements. Niece of Oscar and Juliann Brubacher, Abner and Marie Brubacher, Eli and Ellen Brubacher, Katie and Elvin Weber, Clayton and Connie Brubacher, and Salema Brubacher.

Remembered by her many relatives and friends.

Beloved wife of the late Earl Crowther.

Tony had been a Dispensing Optician since immigrating to Canada in 1979.

Beloved friend of Veronica Douglas for 35 years. Dear brother of Stella Lockwood and uncle to Grant Mapley and family all of England. Predeceased by his sister Gertrude.

 

Bruce ThomasBRUCE, Thomas Earl  -  At age 57, of Stratford, passed away at his residence on Thursday, March 23, 2017. Born in Hamilton, son of the late John and Kathleen 'Kitty' (Boughner) Bruce.

Tom is survived by his brother John Bruce of Blyth and his sister Janet and her husband Vern Musgrave of Stratford. Uncle Tom will be remembered by his nieces and nephews; John (Yuki), Michael(Mandy), Jennie (Aharon), Jason (Sharon) and his many great nieces and nephews; James, Sho, Lisa, Julia, Madison, Abbigail, Elyssa, Makayla and Charlotte.

Besides his parents, Tom was predeceased by two brothers Robert and Edward Bruce.

 

NAU, Carla Lynn Josephine  -  Of Stratford, in her 64th year, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 23, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Stratford, daughter of the late Leslie Nau and the former Barbara Kuepfer.

She is remembered by her siblings Jim (Jayne), Diane Schweitzer, Philip (Trish), Lorilee Streicher, Archie, Murray, Bruce, Ross, Bonnie and Jessie McNab and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Predeceased by her brother Robert 'Bob' Nau.

Proud and supportive father of his two girls Erin Smith (Dudley Bent Jr.) and Amy Smith (Shawn Lockrey). Dean is survived by his siblings Dennis Smith, Sheila (Paul) Chessell, Sharon Smith (Chris Lewis) and along with his mother-in-law Ev Macdonald and brother-in-law Tom (Rachel) Macdonald as well as many nieces and nephews.

 

Larsen IngeLARSEN, Inge Grethe (nee JORGENSEN)  - It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of our courageous and beloved mother, grandmother, sister-in- law and aunt.

Inge passed away peacefully on March 18, 2017 in her 91st year.

Friend of Lorilee Geidlinger and fur baby Patches. Loving father of Kimberly Bauer (Steven), Megan Paulmartin (Joey) and Trevor Kovacs (Karley). Brother of Corinne (Jim), Randy (Kate) and Rodney (twin brother). Loving Papa to Rachel, Jake, Kaleb, Ashley, Trinity, Zoey, Blake and Zoey.

Roland will be deeply missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and was predeceased by his grandparents and brothers Wayne and Mark.

Cherished aunt of Meghan Parsons-Opp ( Manuel ), Keeley Parsons-Miller ( Killian ) and Alex Britton. Beloved Great Aunt to Millie and Quinn Parsons – Opp. Devoted owner to her golden retriever Hoagy. Fran will also be remembered by her Brother in law Michael Parsons.

Beloved husband of Esther (Schwartzentruber) Kennel whom he married October 7, 1950.

Loving father of Anita Watson( Jim), Cliff Kennel (Esther) Steve Kennel (Shirley), Arne Kennel (Sue), Charlotte Scheerer (Kevin). Sadly missed by his 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. 

 

JANTZI, Wesley Roy  -  Passed away on Monday March 20, 2017 at Hospice Wellington, Guelph. Wes resided in McGregor, ON and was born 83 years ago in Wellesley Township. He was the son of the late Simeon and Mary Ann (Roth) Jantzi.

Missed by his children Monica and Kevin Garside of Milton, Douglas Jantzi of Kitchener, Cheryl and Peter Garside of Drumbo, Barry and Charlotte Jantzi of Wellesley, Dana and Brent Hughes of Kitchener.

Grandpa of Olivia, Kassandra, Kyle, Alicia, Kirk, Cameron, Keiran and great-grandpa of Kyra. 

 

Cox DonaldCOX, Donald Peter  -  (September 24, 1932 - March 20, 2017)  -  We want to celebrate the life of Donnie Cox, aka Papa. This man was an icon! He lived life for his wife and family. He adored the love of his life, Winifred 'Windy'. These two love birds were married for 64 years of unconditional love which was passed on to his children. Never a dull moment, laughs all around!

No one was a stranger to Papa and they loved his incredible sense of humour. Taking Dad to his appointments was life changing. For all those who endured his antics in the waiting room - THANK YOU!
