Beloved wife for 56 years of Kenneth Brubacher of Miller Lake.

Dear mother of son Michael and wife Myrna Brubacher of Lakeside, and daughter Michele and Randy Harris of Alliston. Loving grandma of Allan Jones, Richard, Danielle and Nicolas Brubacher, Alexander and wife Cindy Brubacher, and great-grandma of Alexis and Kelsey Brubacher.

 

Swaniga DouglasSWANIGA, Douglas Andrew 'The Swan'  -  Passed away peacefully, following a brief battle with cancer on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the age of 74 years.

Doug is survived by his loving wife Gail of just under 55 years, his daughter Tana (Rocky) Nash, granddaughter Tate Brezina and her father Greg Brezina as well as two brothers Reto (Sheila) Swaniga and Harold Swaniga, nieces and nephews Lisa, Teresa, Andy, Grant and their families.

Predeceased by his beloved daughter Erin in 2006 and his parents Andrew and Irene (nee Crettex) Swaniga.

 

Dakin FrancesDAKIN, Frances Caroline  -  Passed away suddenly at the Guelph General Hospital on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at 3:45 a.m. 

Frances Caroline (nee Lasby) Dakin was the dear mother of Kim Drohan (Robert McInnes), Barton Drohan, Corrine Drohan and the late Marcia Drohan (2016) and step-mother of Lori Rolland Orr and Lisa Rolland Cannell. She is lovingly remembered by three grandchildren Jennifer Reid, Kendra Drohan and Natasha Byng. 

Frances is survived by her four siblings Doreen (Ron) Hauck, Ruth (late Tony) Contini, Charles (Kathy) Lasby and Sam Lasby. She was predeceased by her sister Doris Wilson.

Passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital on Monday, September 18, 2017 in his 90th year.

Beloved husband of Margaret for over 69 years. Loving father of Richard (Liz), Susan and the late Leslie. Proud Grandpa of Jennifer (Sean) and Ryan.

Our Mother was the binding grace of the family.  She was made of devotion, joy, pain, and sacrifice.  She was also our smiles and laughter when we were all together. She was a Mother with unfailing strength, encouragement, and understood your hopes and dreams. We would like to thank you for a lifetime of devoted, selfless love. 

Predeceased by her daughter Angie. Survived by her daughters Lori (Dennis), Pam, Colleen (Lynn), Judy, Bonnie, her eldest Jolene, and her only son, Mark.  She had seven grandchildren.

PROKOPOWICZ, Ronald Stephen 'Ron' - Passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener at the age of 75.

Beloved husband of Diane (nee Grant) Prokopowicz for 55 years. Loving father of David (Laura), Michael and Bradley. Dear grandfather of William (Nichole), Blake, Eric, Matthew, Amanda, Stephanie and great-grandfather of Elizabeth and Noah.

Predeceased by his sister Shirley Sauve and Larry Prokopowicz.

Ron was the co-owner of the Stanley Park Sunoco for 25 years and recently the owner of Stapar Motors in St. Clements for 18 years.

 

SMALL, Margaret Rae (nee Boak) - Passed away peacefully, with family by her side on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Freeport Health Centre at the age of 95.

Predeceased by her husband, Iver Small (1982). Loving mother of Cindy Small, Kevin (Sarah) and predeceased by George James.

Cherished grandmother to Tanya and Amy and great-grandmother to Brandon, Joshua, Avery and Noah. Also survived by her sister, Jessica Campney and predeceased by her five brothers, Jim, Bill, Bob, Ray and Aaron Boak.

 

Bona GordonBONA, Gordon Anthony  -  With sadness and heavy hearts, we announce that Gordon Anthony Bona passed away on Sunday, September 17th, 2017 at the age of 63. 

Gordon was an avid fisherman who won the Rainbow derby in 1988. He enjoyed spending time with his buddies at the trailer in Owen Sound, sitting by the campfire, sharing jokes and stories. Gordon was a hard worker, so he loved to kick back and watch TV when he had the chance, and he truly cherished the time he spent with his family, as well as his very special fishing buddies, Rudy, Big Bill, and Matt.

 

RUNSTEDLER, Alvin Ephraim  -  At age 83, of Linwood passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener.

Alvin was born in Linwood to Herbert and Agnes Runstedler (nee Diebolt) on May 15, 1934. He married Ann Runstedler (nee Goetz) June 16, 1962.

Alvin is survived by wife Ann Runstedler, children Stephen (Cathy) Runstedler, Scott Runstedler, Valerie (Marc) Doiron, Bruce (Tami) Runstedler, Mark (Sheryl) Runstedler, sisters Anne (Walter) Grubb and Mary Cashubec,, brother Vince Runstedler, brother Wilfred (Theresa) Runstedler, brother Herbert (Linda) Runstedler, grandchildren Jesse, Jason, Matthew, Joel, Becca, Amanda, Jenny, Luke, Ferrin, Josh, Julia, Chloe, Brody and great-grandchildren Jaxxon, Lexxis, and Kinsley.

 

Roth DorisROTH, Doris (Baechler)  -  Passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at VON Sakura House, Woodstock.   Doris was born 86 years ago in East Zorra Township and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Baechler (Bender). 

Beloved wife of the late Alvin Roth who predeceased her in 1961. 

Dear mother and mother-in-law of Diane Roth of Courtney, B.C., Wilbur & Peggy Roth of Kitchener, Cliff Roth & Anne Schlorff of Waterloo, Stewart & Wendy Roth of Woodstock, Susan & Mike Brenneman of New Dundee. Doris will be forever loved by her 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. 

 

Bonnet CharlesBONNET, Charles Alfie Clarence  -  Peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017, at the age of 88 years.        

Clarence was a loving and devoted husband and father. A man of very strong faith and a friend to all those who knew him. He was a talented pianist, punster and lover of all things chocolate!

Clarence will be dearly missed by his wife of over 55 years, Barbara, by his children Karen and Dale (Allison) and by all those whose lives he touched along his beautiful journey here.

FAULKNER, Neil Erza  -  Of R.R.# 3 Moorefield passed away at his residence on Saturday, September 16, 2017 in his 82nd year.

Son of the late Vera (Wetzel) and Benjamin Faulkner. Predeceased by his siblings Ross Faulkner, Alma Thompson, Gerald Faulkner and Helen MacLeod. Uncle of the late Colleen Evans, Ronald  Faulkner, Audrey Henderson, James Thompson, Jayne Baynes, Douglas MacLeod, Daryl MacLeod, Norma Lynn Mathieu, Heather Burns, Michael Faulkner and Pat  Hunter. 

Neil’s farm has been in the Faulkner name since 1911 and he lived  there for his 82 years.
