After a courageous seven year battle with multiple myeloma passed away at Grand River Hospital.

She is loved and will be missed by her husband Gareth, sons Michael and Scott, daughter-in-law Tiffany and grandson Jerome.

She will also be deeply mourned by her mother Joy and sisters, Lynne, Jane, Rose and Kerry in Harlow, Essex, England.

Many thanks to the fine and dedicated professionals at Grand River Cancer Centre for their tremendous support over the last seven years.

A Memorial Visitation will take place on Friday, August 1st, 2014 from 7-9pm at COUTTS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge (519-621-1650).

Dear sister of Linda Dryden (Bill), Donna Gandy (Donn), Dianne McDonald (Garry), Cliff Breen (Sandra). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Edward and Irene Breen, her sister Theresa Breen, and her husband Paul Jackman.

Passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus, on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at the age of 87 years.

Barrie was a well known resident of Eramosa Township where he farmed for many years. He will be dearly missed by his good friend and neighbour Fred Hawkins (Lorna).  Fred and Barrie worked side by side, day by day for many years together.  Barrie was brother in law to Mary Lou (late Gordon); Uncle to William Barrie and friend to many.  Predeceased by his parents; George B. Dryden and Florence (nee Parkinson). 

Service will be held in Guelph, on Thursday, July 31st.

Loved mother of Jim Duffield and his wife Catherine of Kitchener, Lindsay Duffield and his wife Ruth of Unionville, and Ian Duffield and his wife Deb of Oakville. Loving and proud grandmother to Andrew, Jordan, Christian, Noah, Leah, Tara and Kristen. Great grandmother to Crista. Predeceased by her parents Lorne and Edna Allan, brother Stewart Allan, and daughter-in-law Kathy.

Helen was a proud resident of Oustic for many years, where Helen and Scotty owned and operated the general store and gas station. A special thank you to Helen's best friend, Cindi Rabstein, for all of her care and support during Helen's illness. Helen was a lifelong member of Barrie Hill United Church and a very active member of the Women's Institute. Helen loved a great conversation, whether about family, friends, events in the community, politics, or the Blue Jays.

Funeral Service will be held in Guelph, on Friday, August 1st.

In her 92nd year at the Elliott Community in Guelph, Ontario.

Thank you to the staff of the Elliott for their sensitive care during her years of residency there.

Born in St. Catharines and enjoyed her youth in Toronto, Frances was the youngest daughter of the late Coila (Every) and Franklin Clowes Noxon. She is survived by her children Susan Kemp (Crispin), James, and Michael (Linda Clay); grandchildren John, Jenny and Iain, great-granddaughter Madison and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Douglas, daughter Barbara and her sister Barbara.

Cremation has already taken place. Arrangements out of Guelph.

She was the dear mother of James Paul (Louise), Sharyne (John) Pickthorn. Marguerita is fondly remembered by grandchildren Kim Kelly, Carol-Lee (Michael) Wooley, Peter and Barry Kelly and Keith and David Pickthorn. She is survived by her sister Frances Schriefels, her sister-in-law Lorraine Pickett and her daughter-in-law Moneta Kelly. Marguerita is predeceased by her sister Anne Hale (late Frank), by her brothger John (Jackie) Pickett, by her son Barry Kelly and by her brother-in-law Jim Schriefels.

The Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma St., Guelph, on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 11 a.m. Interment.

Surrounded by her family on Saturday July 26, 2014 in her 88th year, Irmgard went home to be with the Lord.

In her 65th year of marriage, she is the dearly loved wife of Georg Nessel, and cherished mother of Ingo Nessel (Rosemary), Ingrid Douglas (Don), and Erick Nessel (Naomi). She leaves precious memories with her grandchildren; Ronni, Kirstin, Kristian, Annette, Alex and Toby. She will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews in Germany and North America, and by all of those whose lives she touched.

Born in Hohenstein, Posen, she immigrated to Canada in 1948 and married Georg in 1949.

They lived in Montreal until 1975 when they moved to Kitchener where she spent the rest of her life. Very active in the church, Irmgard had strong Christian convictions and spread her joy of living through singing and poetry. Her family extends many heartfelt thanks to all of the staff at Hilltop Manor in Cambridge for their love and support during Irmgard's stay.

The Nessel Family will receive friends at the WESTMOUNT FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1001 Ottawa St. S., (at Westmount Rd.), 519-743-8900, on Thursday, July 31st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Also lovingly remembered by John and Judy Wellwood, Nancy (Casey) Halstead, Kevin Wellwood; David and Chris Foell, Chad, Laurel, and Joshua Foell. Dear sister of Herb and Frances Metzger of Waterloo, Helen Vandermolen of Woodstock, Earl and Sharon Metzger of Elmira, Gladys Vollmer and John Henderson of Simcoe, AnnaBelle Payson of Elmira, Heather Metzger-Morrison of Kitchener, and Robert Metzger of Waterloo. Dorothy was a member of Trinity United Church in Elmira, the Linwood Women’s Institute, and will be remembered for her beautiful artwork, both painting and ceramics. Dorothy was a kind and helpful friend to many and will be sadly missed.

May married William Hartsburg in Hamilton, October 23, 1954 and they started on their lives together for almost 60 years. They moved to Stratford in 1959 and Bill and May owned and operated the Dominion House Hotel until 1966, when they moved to Kitchener and then purchased and operated the Winston Hotel in Milverton until 1974. After that they lived in Stratford, St. Josephs, Port Rowan, St. Thomas and returned to Stratford five years ago. May was an energetic, hardworking and creative person. She was a sports fan, a hockey mom, and nothing was more important to her than her family.

May is survived by her husband Bill, her children Kim Lang, Craig and Peggy, Todd and Cory. Her grandchildren Christopher (Lindsay) Hartsburg, Kathleen (Craig) Kennedy, Alexandra and Cameron Lang. Her great grandchildren Colin and Blake Kennedy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families and many longtime special friends.

The Funeral Service will be held in Stratford, on Wednesday, July 30th.

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Lisaard House during a courageous battle with cancer on July 25th in her 83rd year.

Predeceased by her husband Douglas (July 2013). She will be missed by her daughters Debra Martz Melanson (Edgar), Cheryl Brown (Paul), her son Jamie (Wanda). Loved grandmother of Sean (Devonnie), Jesse, Jason (Tiffany), Ryan, Dylan and Shayna and great grandmother to Julia and step grand children Kayla and Brandon.

Will be remembered by her brother Richard Schnarr (Fern predeceased) and her niece Karen and nephew Phillip. She was predeceased by her father Arnold Schnarr and her mother Irene Schnarr.

In her early years she was a figure skater receiving the highest level of amateur skating with a "Gold Medal" at the K-W Granite Club. She was a hairdresser for over 20 years at Darlene Beauty Salon on Belmont with her parents.

Her passion was her children and a big part of her life.

Family and friends may visit the RATZ-BECHTEL FUNERAL HOME, 621 King Street W. 519-745-9495 on Tuesday, July 29 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Service of Remembrance will take place in the Chapel on Wednesday, July 30 at 10 am, with interment at Woodland Cemetery. Reception at the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre to follow after interment.

Harry played professional hockey and baseball in the 40's and 50's and worked as a furniture salesman.

Remembered with love by his wife Eleanor, best friends for many years; his son Paul (Maureen) and daughter Andrea.

Poppa to Meghann (Greg), Katie (Gustavo) and Paula. Grand Poppa to Cole, Emmett and Hudson. Also his nieces Julie, Brenda, and the late Bonnie and nephew Peter.

Our heartfelt thanks to the entire staff at Extendicare for their loving care during the past two years.

Friends may call at St. Andrew's United Church, 441 Rubidge Street, Peterborough, on Tuesday, July 29th from 12:30 to 2:00 pm. Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 pm. A private family interment to take place July 30th.

Craig_HelenIt is with great sadness that the family of Kathleen (Kay) Craig announces her passing on Thursday, July 24, at the age of 75, at Caressant Care in Listowel. Kay died peacefully surrounded by friends and family.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Maureen (Doug) Caul of Dryden, Michele (Dave) Deniet of Listowel, and Tammy (Ed) Sweeney of Niagara Falls. Kay will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Kevin, Jordan, Brian, Chris, Brandon, Leanne, Eddy and Nicholas and families, by her five great-grandchildren and by her sister Fran (Jerry) Valeriote.

on Monday, July 28, 2014 from 9-10:30 a.m. A Franciscan Funeral Mass in memory of Kay will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, (409 Paisley Rd.), Guelph, on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 11a.m. Interment will follow.

Dabrowski_ThomasOn Thursday, July 24, Tom passed away at home, peacefully in his sleep, at the age of 61.

He will be so deeply missed by his wife, Barb, and his daughters, Heather, Annie, Hannah, and Lynn and his extended family.

He touched all who knew him whether it was on the soccer field, at Emmanuel United Church, at the workplace as a Chartered Accountant, as a willing community volunteer, or as a neighbour and friend. He was a kind and generous man, and he is gone too soon. We will miss him and remember him, now and forever. God’s will be done.

The Funeral Service will be held at Emmanuel United Church, 22 Bridgeport Rd., W., Waterloo on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Bruce Sweet officiating. A reception will follow at the church.

Edna passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Leisureworld Caregiving Centre, Elmira, at the age of 97.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph Desmond McKenna (1997).

Loving mother of Darla Montagano and Steve McKenna (Rhonda).

Loving grandmother of Julie Anne Montagano (Rob), Greg Montagano and Catherine McKenna.

Predeceased by her parents Daniel Robert and Mary Marthella Nolan and her siblings Betty, Ella, Ted, Bev, Jenny, Morris, Tim, and Bunny.

Cremation has taken place.

A Memorial Service will be held at SCHREITER-SANDROCK FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 51 Benton St., Kitchener, (519-742-4481) on Sunday, July 27 at 2:00 p.m. followed by a time of fellowship in the Heritage Room.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church, Elgin St. S. Cambridge on Tuesday July 29, 2014 at 10 am. Interment will follow.
