Born in Chippawa, Ontario on May 14, 1922 – Died in Guelph, Ontario on December 19, 2014. Passed away at the St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Guelph, on Friday, December 19, 2014, after a lengthy struggle with dementia.

Olive was the beloved wife of the late Jack Essex (1986).

She was the loving mother of Patricia Pamenter and her husband Barry of Foxboro, ON, Mike Essex and his wife Leonor Mariano of Guelph, Kathy Brooks (Donald Truckey) of Toronto, and the late Pamela Sue (1948). Cherished Grandma of Bonnie, Tracey, Michael, Jennifer, Robin, and the late Karen (1997), and great-grandmother of Brynna, Rebecca, Alexandra, Camden, Rachel, and Ashlynn. Olive is survived by her sister Celia Paquette (Bernard). She was predeceased by her siblings Marguerite, Mabel, Nellie, Isabel, Alice, Loretta, and Charles. Olive was the dear sister-in-law of Irene Manahan.

Special thanks to Dr. Brian Trainor and to the staff of Oakridge Falls Neighbourhood at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Guelph for their kindness, care and support over the last many years.

A Graveside Service will take place in Niagara Falls, on Tuesday, December 23rd.

As to Judy’s wishes cremation has taken place. A reception honouring Judy’s life will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Westmount Golf and Country Club, 50 Inverness Drive, Kitchener, Ontario.

A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Pinehaven for their wonderful care of Judy over the past three years.

Loving father of Connie Koebel (Brad) of Waterloo and the late Ralph (1998). He will be sadly missed and remembered by his grandchildren Nina and Adam and many friends in Canada and Germany.

Guenter emigrated from Germany to Canada in 1959 settling in Kitchener. He was an active member of the German-Canadian Community. He joined the Concordia Club and Male Choir in1960. He served as President of the Concordia Choirs, Concordia Club and as President of the K-W Oktoberfest Inc (1987 - 1988) and was still very active with these organizations. In 1960, he started a very successful career in real estate. In partnership with his loving wife Elfriede they acquired the Linwood Restaurant & Tavern in 1975 known for delicious food and famous for 'Schnitzel Night'.

Funeral Liturgy will take place in Kitchener, on Saturday, December 20th.

Dear husband of the late Mary Catherine Brown (August 11, 2013).

Beloved father and father-in-law to Sheila Lobsinger (Paris), Leslie and Wesley Henry (Burlington), Thomas and Susan McKee (Cambridge).

Grandfather to Robert McKee, Amy and Alex Robertson, Michael McKee and Andrew Henry. Great-grandfather to Seraphina McKee. Predeceased by his son-in-law Dennis Lobsinger (2009) and his sister Marion Pellow (2014). Son of the late W. Carter McKee and Margaret Ballagh. Bob was the owner/operator of General Office Service Limited for over forty years in downtown Galt. Bob was involved with the Galt/Cambridge BIA, The Galt Hornets, The Galt Jaycees and Guild Stationers.

During his retirement, he delivered Meals on Wheels for over 16 years. Bob also took up making bird houses, of which he enjoyed going around to craft sales and selling them. He was definitely a people person.

Upon moving to Riverbend Retirement Home, he was very active in all the activities – exercise classes, bus trips, playing games, going to the peanut auctions, ceramic classes and happy hour. Bob will be remembered for his dry sense of humour.

The family would like to thank the staff at Riverbend Retirement Home for all their care and support. Cremation has taken place.

Family and friends will be received at T. LITTLE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTRE, 223 Main Street, Cambridge on Monday, December 22, 2014, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and again Tuesday, December 23, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Internment Mount View Cemetery will be held at a later date.

Loved mother of Patricia (Paul) Leonard of Burlington, Janet Stocovaz of Hanover, Kathryn (Edward) Duncan of Toronto and Liz (Tony) Roth of Guelph. Loving grandmother of 12 and great grandmother of 6. Predeceased by her parents James Cameron and Nettie (Barrett) Cameron and her sister Helen Vinnicombe.

Ethel was born in Truro, Nova Scotia in 1921 and retained her love for the Maritimes throughout her life. She was proud to be a Registered Nurse and, in her early years, worked for the Victorian Order of Nurses. When she left her career to raise her family, she continued her passion for helping others through her many volunteer activities, particularly her strong leadership roles on the Guelph General Hospital Auxillary and the United Church Women at Dublin Street United Church where she was honoured to become a Life Time member. An avid gardener, Ethel grew some beautiful gardens at her family home in Guelph where she enjoyed many cups of tea with her dearly loved family and friends.

Heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at the Riverside Glen for the love and care they gave to Ethel and her family over the past seven years.

Funeral service will be held at Dublin Street United Church, 68 Suffolk St. W., Guelph on Monday, December 22, 2014, at 1:30 p.m.

He was born in Brantford and was the last surviving member of his family. Predeceased by his parents Oliver and Norine (Menzies), his sister Ruth de Lottenville, his brother Duncan Barry and a sister Sheila in infancy.

The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 22 at the Church of the Holy Saviour, 33 Allen St. E., Waterloo at 2 p.m. with The Venerable Peter T. Townshend and Canon Robert L. Schroeder as officiants. A reception will follow at the church.

Beloved husband of the late Ethel Irene (Gilbert) Eckmier who predeceased him on November 9, 2012.

Dear father of Paul (Debbie) Eckmier of Kitchener. Survived by his grandchildren David (Kara) Eckmier of Waterloo, Jonathan (Deb) Eckmier of Breslau and Timothy Eckmier of Banff, Alberta along with great- grandchildren Leah, Lyla, Dawson and Hudson. Carman will be fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Ellen Fangrad (David) of Stratford and Grace Uloth (Dieter) of Stratford, along with the entire Gilbert family. Besides his parents and wife, Carman was predeceased by several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Carman served his country as Leading Air Craftsman RCAF in WW2 and also worked for the CNR in Stratford and Toronto, and later became store manager for Sherwin-Williams Paints in Stratford. Prior to his retirement Carman worked for Reliance Electric (Stratford) as shipper and receiver. He was a member of Elgin Missionary Church and Tavistock Missionary Church where he served his Lord as Sunday School Superintendent as well as on Church Board Committees. Carman also served formerly as President of the Stratford District Credit Union. Carman was a very proud supporter of the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Funeral Service will be held in Stratford, on Sunday, December 21st.

Beloved wife for 65 years to Geoffrey 'Jim' Hopcraft, who predeceased her in 2005.

Loving and devoted mother to her two boys Gary (Donna) and the late Gerald. Cherished grandmother of Ken (Mary Frances), Kelly (Blake) and Shawn Evans (Kim) and great grandmother to Ethan, Brianna and Julia. Eileen with be fondly remembered by daughter-in-law Jackie Buckton (Ron) and niece Jackie Carter.

Predeceased by her parents Frank and Mae Burnell and dear sister Maisie.

Eileen spent the happiest years of her life in Galt, supporting her boys in their sports endeavours and loving her job sorting mail at the Galt Post Office. Eileen will be remembered by her ability, even in later years, to recite pages of poetry that she had memorized as a young girl.

Service will be held in Cambridge, on Saturday, December 20th.

It is with love and regret that we announce the death of George, formally of Peterborough, Ont., who passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 in his 88th year.

Survived by his wife Lois (Bottum) Jewett, survived by his brother Ken Jewett (Edie) predeceased by his sister Claire McLaughlin (Robin). Beloved by his children: Charles (Jenny), Ted (Sylvie) and Jo-Anne McDermott (D’Arcy) and his eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren in Canada and New Zealand.

George loved a challenge in his chosen career of mining engineering, which culminated in his position as Assistant Deputy of Mines and Natural Resources for the Province of Ontario. George was passionately committed to improving the communities he lived in across Canada.

He shared his love of bridge, sailing, curling and golf with all who knew him.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Riverside Glen in Guelph for their exemplary care and kindness.

Service and celebration of life will be on Tuesday, December 30th at 11:00am at the Peterborough Golf and Country Club.

Peacefully, at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital, after an epic eight year battle with cancer and Parkinsonism, on Wednesday December 17, 2014, in her 64th year.

Thelma, loving sister of Jack Morrison of Brampton and David Morrison of Barrie. Thelma was an award winning journalist, an accomplished writer, an enthusiastic artist, a strong supporter of the arts and a true bon vivant with an incredibly free spirit.

She was drawn to beach communities and so loved Wasaga Beach that she made it her permanent home, instantly immersing herself in the journalistic and cultural life of the town. She also found a special place in her heart for Treasure Beach, Jamaica – another unique beach community filled with kindred spirits. Thelma was a unique and passionate soul who will be missed by all who knew her and most especially her brothers.

A private cremation has been arranged and a memorial will be organized some time in the spring or summer at the beach.

We would like to thank the medical staff, especially the nurses, at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital for their professionalism, sensitivity and true affection during this ordeal … you were amazing!

Memorial donations to the Wasaga Beach Public Library would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Betty (2002).

Loving father to Ty (Kori), Tom (Sue), and Tim (Dianne). Cherished grandpa of six grandchildren and great-grandpa to one great-grandchild. Survived by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Step daughter of Mrs. Lydia Ann Bauman of Elmira, sister-in-law of Isobel Bauman of Stratford. Predeceased by her husband Sylvester Snyder (May, 2002), her parents Sylvester and Edna (Martin) Bauman and her brother Oscar Bauman.

Service will be held in Scarborough, on Saturday, December 20th.

Beloved husband of Charlotte (nee Isley) for 54 years.

Dear father of Rita (Dale), Raymond (Cindy), Rick (Karen), Raylene and Rhonda. Proud Grandpa to Matt, Jason, Stuart, Kristine, Ali, Andy, Ellen, Dana, Samantha and Charlie and Great-Grandpa to Lauren, Landon, Davis, Parker and Ashlynn. He will be missed by sisters Bernadette Loro and Georgina MacDonald, the Isley family and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents Reginald and Mary Jane Campbell, sister Jean, brother Reg and brothers in-law Angelo Loro and Ed MacDonald.

Ray worked at American Standard for 40 years and he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Hespeler Legion.

The family wishes to thank the amazing staff and volunteers at Stirling Heights for their loving care.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family at the Memorial Mass celebrating his life at St. Clement's Catholic Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 11 a.m.

Dear sister of Lorne Dorsch & wife Grace of Lindsay, Victor Dorsch & wife Viola of New Hamburg. Sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by her sisters Alice Lingelbach & husband Louis, Violet Cooper & husband Walter, Esther Shantz & husband Joseph, brothers Alfred Dorsch in infancy, Reuben Dorsch & wife Ada, Emerson Dorsch & wife Ada, Carl Dorsch, Harold Dorsch & wife Helen, Nelson Dorsch & wife Betty.

Ruth was a member of Zion United Church, New Hamburg where she was a former member of the UCW.

The Funeral Service will take place at Zion United Church, New Hamburg on Saturday December 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bob Thaler and Pastor Murray Rounding officiating. Interment to follow.

Helen will be sadly missed by her sister Anne (Herman) Falk and sisters-in-law Elvera Goerz, Wanda Goerz, Mary Duerrstein and brother-in-law Albert Wedel as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held in Waterloo, on Saturday, December 20th.

At age 86, Beth passed away peacefully at St. Marys Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, December 16, 2014. Daughter of the late William and Margaret (Grant) Oliver.

Beloved wife of the late Joe Graham who predeceased her on September 28, 2002.

Survived by her loving children; Hugh (Sandy) Graham, Joe (Cathy) Graham, David 'Bim' Graham, Becky (Ray) Hewitt, Grant (Debbie) Graham, Nelson (Vicki) Graham, Andy (Toni) Graham and Bruce (Charlotte) Graham. Beth is survived by 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Beth is survived by a brother Bruce Oliver of Comox, B.C., also by sisters-in-law Lily Beals, Nancy Graham and Ruth Graham. Besides her parents and her husband, Beth is predeceased by a daughter-in-law Lesley Graham and by four brothers and their spouses.

The Funeral Service will take place on Saturday December 20, 2014 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 700 Huron Street, Stratford at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service.

As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Relief Society of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of one's choice.
