Gaede RobertGAEDE, Robert 'Bob'  -   (A.O.C.A.)  -  After a long and very productive life, Bob Gaede has 'slipped the surly bonds of earth' and set up his easel in a better place.

He is now reunited with his beloved wife Audrey (2016) and much missed siblings Olga, Frieda, Laura, Frank, Henry, and Rudy. He leaves behind his much loved children Jennifer Snider, Deb Gaede, and Rod (Eveline) Gaede. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren James Gaede (Emily), Chris Snider (Tati), Jordan Gaede (fiancée Vallery), Nick Gaede (Tara), and Jackie Snider.

Bob was also blessed with five great-grandchildren and one on the way. He had a special place in his heart for his nieces and their families, Elaine (Bert) Meng, Judy (Lee) Bell, and the late Sharon (Jack) Soeder.

 

Black EthelBLACK, Ethel Florence (Ford)  -  It is with profound sadness we announce the sudden passing of Ethel Florence Black, aged 85 years, at Hamilton General Hospital Thursday Oct 6th, 2017. 

Ethel was the devoted, loving wife of 63 years to Gilmour Robert Black, cherished mother of Karen (Erik), Brian (Brenda), Steve, Mark (Tracy), and Morgan (Julie). Mom was the always proud Nanny to 16 wonderful grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. 

She is also survived by her brothers Jimmy and Doug, sisters Elaine and Shirley and predeceased by her sister Beverley. 

 

Kurilenko AnnaKURILENKO, Anna  -  Passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, October 6, 2017 in her 88th year.

Beloved wife of John. Loving mother of Alina and Jon. Mother-in-law to Robert. Babcia to Simon and Miles.

We will miss her determination, playfulness and amazing cooking. Being stubborn allowed her to accomplish so much. We love you Anna, as do all your good friends.

 

MILBURN, Robert 'Bob' - (1925 - 2017) - On Friday, October 6th, 2017, at the Columbia Forest Long Term Care in Waterloo. Bob Milburn of Waterloo, and formerly of Hamilton, in his 93rd year.

Predeceased by his wife Marian Florence (Terry) 1997 and his son Douglas 1967. Survived by his sister Joyce Koehki of Switzerland and brother Hudson and his wife Linda Milburn of Waterloo.

Bob is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews and other family members. Predeceased by sister Arlene and her husband Lawrence Rust and brother in law Armin Koehki.

 

Munch DavidMUNCH, David Lloyd  -  Peacefully passed away at his residence on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 63 years of age. 

Dave is survived by his loving mother, Maxine Munch; sons David Jr., and Michael of whom he was very proud; his sisters Bonnie (Bill Ray) Munch, Susan Van Sickle and Brenda (Ken) Elligson. He dearly loved his grandchildren, Annabelle and Lucas. He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father Lloyd (Tony) and grandson Benjamin. 

 

Schonnop MaureenSCHONNOP, Maureen Elizabeth  -  Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington on Thursday, October 5, 2017, at the age of 72.

Loved mother of Susan and Jeff Schonnop. Dear sister of Terry (the late Edith), Dennis and Pat (Bill).  Former spouse and friend of the late Stanley Schonnop (2002). Will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Maureen had an artistic flair, and was a lover of animals.

Roach DavidROACH, David (Dave) Louis  -  Passed away peacefully at home on Thursday October 5, 2017 after a courageous fight with cancer for two and half years. He was 52 years old.

Dave will forever be remembered by his wife Michele (McBride) and their son Rylee, along with his sisters Judy (Tim) and Muriel (Larry) and sister-in-law Karen. He will be missed by Jim and Arlene McBride, Patrick (Kathy), Deb (Mike), nieces, nephews, as well as his best friends Wally and Wanda.

He is predeceased by his mother Ellen May, father Louis, sister Donna and his brother Ronald. 

Born on March 30, 1965, in Kitchener Ontario, he was the youngest of five children. For over 25 years, he was a dedicated employee at Enertech Maintenance Contractors.

WEHRLE, Nathan Joseph  -  It is with heavy and saddened hearts that we announce the sudden death of our son, Nathan Joseph Wehrle, as the result of a tragic car accident. He was born March 27, 2002. 

Nathan was the son of his mother Rebecca & stepfather Gregory Kendall and his father Thomas        Soloman. Nathan is survived by his grandparents Cecilia Wehrle, Les and Sharon Soloman and predeceased by his grandfather Joseph Wehrle and by his step grandparents Robert and Catherine Bidgood and Blaine     Kendall. He will also be lovingly remembered by his brothers, sisters, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Kay is lovingly remembered by her 47 nieces, nephews and their families.

Kay was the last surviving member of her family, having been predeceased by her parents, George and Christine (Schiebel), Logel, her brothers Charlie, Alf, Oscar, Frank, Bill, Edward and Jerome, and sisters Stella, Laura, Mary, Helen and Margaret.

He was the beloved husband of Mary for 31 years. 

Robert was the cherished father of Chris and Jason. He was the proud grandfather of Tessa-Maria Antoniette. 

Robert was the loving son-in-law of Virgilio and Antonietta Albanese and the loved brother-in-law of Grace Tanti (Brian). He was the loved uncle of Zio Aldo Albanese and the loved nephew of Zio Nick and Elena Marchione and family. Robert was predeceased by his father James Graziotto (1996).

 

Andrews JohnANDREWS, John William  -  Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at the Guelph General Hospital. 

John Andrews, 73, of Guelph, Ontario, was born in Arthur, Ontario to Fred and Alice Andrews. He lived most of his life in Mount Forest and Guelph.

John, also affectionately known as Jack (and Daddio), was a loving, social man who enjoyed visiting with friends and family, long car rides in the country, collecting crokinole boards, and playing card games (which he usually won!).

John was a dedicated employee of Euclid Hitachi (now Hitachi), where he was employed as an inspector until his retirement. He was well-liked by his co-workers.

 

McQUADE, Jean Marilyn  -  Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Nithview Home, New Hamburg. Jean was born 84 years ago in London, Ontario and was the daughter of the late Edwin and Florence Hiller (Hendrick).

Beloved wife of Gerald McQuade whom she married July 26, 1952. 

Cherished mother of Randy and Mary McQuade of Baden and Janice and Charles Deighton of Clarence Creek. She will be missed by her grandchildren; Russell and Lena, Connor, Jocelyn and Rob, Amanda, Autumn and great-grandchildren; Kayla, Logan, Madison, Tory and William.

WEITZEL, John Christian  -  My dear brother John Christian Weitzel, age 68, passed away at his residence October 4, 2017. Born in Stratford April 16, 1948.

Survived by his sister June Mary Hazen and her husband Willard.

Predeceased by his parents Willard Henry and Elsie Mary (nee Neff) Weitzel, 2 brothers Mel Weitzel (2008) and William 'Lum' Weitzel (1992) and 2 nephews Tim and Wayne Slattery. John is survived by many nieces and nephews.

He worked at Hendrickson’s for many years until his retirement.

 

Campbell LoraCAMPBELL, Lora Ann  -  Passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 4, 2017 at Grand River Hospital Freeport Campus, Kitchener after a brave battle with ovarian cancer.

Born November 3, 1958, Lora began her career as a nurse in 1978 in Cambridge, ON. Over the years she provided care to many patients, most recently at the St. Mary’s Cardiac Care Center where she worked for the last 12 years, and acted as Resource Nurse in the Eye Clinic.

She will be greatly missed by her mother Rose Schilling, her son James Campbell, his partner Robyn Mustill and their daughter Edie Campbell, as well as her son Ian Campbell and his partner Elizabeth Pittman.

 

BROUGHTON, William (Bill)  –  Of Listowel, formerly of Atwood, passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Tuesday October 3, 2017 at the age of 94. 

Bill was a member of Atwood United Church and a former member of the Atwood Lions Club. He was a true farmer but always found time for golfing, playing and coaching hockey, playing baseball and hunting. Bill enjoyed playing cards at the Men’s Club of Atwood.

Beloved husband of the late Betty (Rock) Broughton who predeceased him in 2005.
