For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Beloved wife of the late Leonard William Charles Dadd (1998). 

Loving mother of Charles Dadd, Leslie Dadd, Elaine Marucci (Frank) and Ellen Ducharme. 

VanHoutven AgnesVAN HOUTVEN, Agnes (Casteels)  -  At age 96, of Stratford died peacefully in her sleep at Hillside Manor July 28 2018.   

Devoted wife of 51 years of Alfons Van Houtven (2000).

Dietrich ThomasDIETRICH, Thomas Henry  -  Was born into eternal life, Saturday July 28, 2018 following a brief illness.  Thomas passed away peacefully at Trinity Village Long Term Care Center, Kitchener at the age of 78.

Thomas was a devout Roman Catholic, and member at St. Louis RC Parish in Waterloo, Ontario.

Always giving and caring, Thomas was deeply connected to his family and faith. Thomas always had a smile and a kind word for others and was always eager to help those around him.

Kenemy ArthurKENEMY, Arthur  -  Passed away unexpectedly at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the age of 81 years.

Loving partner of Glenn Jamieson for 38 years.

Dolly (Carroll) Gilroy in her 96th year, was the beloved wife of the late Milton Lloyd Gilroy (2003). She was the loving mother of Flo-Ann Hattle and her late husband David, and Craig Gilroy and his wife Lynn.

Beloved wife of the late Bill Jackson (2005). 

Beloved mother of Bill and Karen Jackson, Don Jackson and the late Beth Jackson (2013) and Shelly Ann Jackson all of Arthur.

Shaver DonaldSHAVER, Donald McQueen  -  On Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Innisfree House, Kitchener in his 98th year, beloved husband of the late Leila Maria (Oman); devoted father to Jill Searson (Robert), Catherine Wendy Shaver, Donald Shaver Jr. (Catherine) and Jonathan Shaver (Erica). Caring step-father to Anne Eklund, Bjorn Richard and Ylva Byars (Bill). 

A great joy in his life were his treasured grandchildren and great grandchildren with whom he shared many lively adventures and learning experiences within Canada and abroad.

Sirett IanSIRETT, Ian Paton 'Pogo'  -  It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Ian Paton Sirett ('Pogo'), on Saturday, July 28th, 2018. Pogo died peacefully, just shy of his 90th birthday, surrounded by his loved ones.

Ian is the loving father of Gail McKeen (Reg), cherished grandfather of Gillian McKeen and Cameron McKeen (Chrissy), great-grandfather to Elias McKeen and loving partner of Milena Tolar.

Beloved husband of the late Lydia (2010).

Loving father to Helmut (Christine), Angelika Gabber Pearson (Jay) and Sylvia Bonaventura (Roberto). Cherished Opa to Jessica, Vanessa and Roberto and Great-Opa to Anthony, Zaiden, Mia and Ali.

Passed away at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto.

Loving and devoted wife to the late Richard Patrick Yanchus (2012).

Lovingly cared for by her oldest daughter, Helen, and her son-in-law, Bill McClenny, and grandson, Ben. Dearly missed and loved by her son, Patrick Yanchus, her daughter Christina Boutilier and husband Dean and grandsons Noah and Hunter, and her daughter Jennifer Tavares and husband Eddie and grandsons Jordan and Tristan.

Murdoch JamesMURDOCH, James Alexander  -  (Sept. 24, 1932 - July 28, 2018)  -  With great sadness the family of Jim had time to say goodbye amid my tears and some laughter. Standing room only at St. Mary's Emergency were his wife Carol, their children Michele (Tom Worndl), Mike (Teresa Donnelly), Nancy (Steve Tallon), Greg (Katharine Banks), Mark (Sue), Jennifer (Dan Martin), and Jay (Angela). 

Also survived by his 20 grandchildren and his sister Margaret Badeau. 

BROOKS, Hilary Anne  –  Passed away suddenly at her home on Saturday, July 28, 2018.

Hilary Anne Brooks age 32 years, was the loving daughter of Gladys Stephenson and Ron Brooks. She was the loving sister of Jenni Brooks and Payton Brooks. Hilary was the beloved granddaughter of Kay Clark.

MARTIN, Vernal  -  Passed away peacefully on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Listowel Memorial Hospital, at the age of 92 years.

Vernal was the husband of the late Salome (Horst) Martin (2016).

Father of Esther and Joseph Brubacher of Wallenstein, Lucille and Mervin Martin of Listowel, Elverne and Grace of West Montrose, Earl and Fern of Elora, Bruce and RuthAnn of West Montrose, Anne and Larry Wideman of Clifford, and Linda and Leroy Wideman of Drayton.

TUCKER, Patricia Eva  -  Passed away peacefully on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Exeter Villa, Exeter at the age of 82.

Loving wife of the late Ronald Tucker (1995).

Survived by son William (Debbie Auger), Shawn (Piera Valenti), grandchildren Jeremy, Robert and Anthony and sister-in-law Peggy. Proud Aunt of many special nieces and nephews.

Nannie of Sarah, Laura (Dan), Amanda (Jamie), Michael and Melanie. Born in Campbellton, New Brunswick in 1929, daughter of Elizabeth and John Jardine. 

Predeceased by her sisters Doris and Jackie and brother Jim and by 2 granddaughters in infancy.
