For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Woloszczuk HalinaWOLOSZCZUK, Halina (Popiel)  -  Passed away peacefully on Friday, May 11th, with family by her side at the age of 95.

Beloved sister of Alexandra. Loving Aunt to Taras (Sue), Michael (Svitlana), Andrew (Laurie), Walter (Ditte-Marie), Oksana (Volodymyr), Myroslava (Pavel), Ola (Hnatko), Maria.

Predeceased by her husband Ivan Woloszczuk, Sisters Myroslava, Natalia and bothers Bohdan, Volodymyr, Jaroslav and Ivan.

Halina's family will receive relatives and friends from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Henry Walser funeral home,  Kitchener, on Monday, May 14, 2018.  Panakhyda will take place at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service at Chapel of All-Saints of Ukraine (1280 Dundas St. West, Oakville) on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Volodymyr's Cemetery. Reception to follow at St. Volodymyr's Ukrainian Cultural Centre (1280 Dundas St. West, Oakville).

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of  St.Demetrius in Etobicoke, would be appreciated by the family.
