For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Kranz NorbertKRANZ, Norbert Heinrich Gerd  -  Passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, May 11, 2018 at the age of 65 years. 

Beloved husband of Susan Kranz for 30 years. 

Dear father of Mandy Zilinski (Chris), Matthew Wilhelm (Cindy), Rebecca Menary (Derek), Mark Wilhelm (Lindsay), and Victoria Miller (Andy). 

Also remembered by his eleven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

Dear brother of Petra Zanker (Hardy) and Axel Kranz (Margaritha). 

Predeceased by his daughter Tanya and his parents August and Lieselotte Kranz. 

Norbert spent three years traveling the world as a chef aboard a cruise ship. He also worked for St. Mary’s Hospital, City Cabs, and Family & Children’s Services. 

Cremation has taken place. Norbert’s family will receive relatives and friends at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, Kitchener, on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 6 – 8 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 11:00 – 11:45 a.m., where the memorial service will be held in the chapel at 12:00 p.m., with a reception to follow. Interment will then follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Breslau.
