For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Kirkpatrick RuthKIRKPATRICK, Ruth  –  Of RR1 Atwood, passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Monday May 14, 2018 at the age of 73. 

Ruth enjoyed knitting, embroidering, needlework and spending time with her family.

Beloved wife of the late Russell Kirkpatrick who predeceased her in 2014.

Loving mother of Richard, Roger (Kyla) and Cory. Special nana of Morgan, Jorja Jane, Jake and Tom.

Sister and sister-in-law of Vivian Laidlaw, Marg Clarke, Cecil and Barb Clarke, Linda Rush, Cora and Hartley Bowins, Ivan and Crystal Kirkpatrick. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents Clarence and Hazel (Raynard) Clarke, brother Harvey, brother-in-law Ken Laidlaw and sister-in-law Louise Clarke.

In keeping with Ruth’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to North Perth Community Hospice, 135 Main Street West, Listowel, ON, N4W 1A2, would be appreciated by the family.
