We Regret to Announce That We Have Had to Discontinue

For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Sponsors are welcome to participate and support WaterlooObituaries.com by advertising (i.e., local funeral centres, cemeteries, monument suppliers or local businesses, ...we would also include your Banners and Direct Links to your websites) – please contact us !

Participating Funeral Centres will be prominently Featured; within their Region, and within the Obituary Notices, including Links redirecting viewers to your Websites.

We are continuing to publish notices to DurhamObituraies.com …  and also for now, TorontoObituaries.com and HaltonObituaries.com

Thank you for visiting our website.

We plan to have the 9 other Regional Websites back on-line soon!

PYATT, Susa Lilian (Sue)  -  At age 74, of Kitchener, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, June 9, 2018 in Kitchener, Ontario.

Sue was born in Toronto on March 30, 1944 and was the oldest of Lyn and Jim Fitzpatrick’s three children. She attended high school at Lawrence Park Collegiate in North Toronto, went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts from Glendon College, York University in 1965, and received her teaching accreditation in the following year.

Sue began her teaching career in Toronto but spent the majority of her working life with the Waterloo Region District School Board, where she dedicated her focus and passion to special education. Sue enjoyed volunteering for the local chapter of the Canadian Cancer Society and was a long-time member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority.  She also enjoyed attending plays and concerts and was able to visit the Stratford Festival several times in the past month with a very close friend.

Sue is survived by her two daughters, Stacey [Mark, Ryan and Griffin] and Betsey [Andrew, Quinn and Owen], both of the Greater Toronto Area. She is also dearly missed by her sister Lee [Bryan, Sean and Christina] and her brother Terry [Ruth].

A memorial service will be held at Erb & Good Family funeral home, Waterloo, on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Joanne Peppler officiating. Reception to follow in the Fireside Room of the funeral home. Burial will take place at St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Sue’s beloved Haliburton County at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society in Sue’s name.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the numerous support organizations who provided care and assistance over the past several years.
