We Regret to Announce That We Have Had to Discontinue
WaterlooObituaries.com
.

For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Sponsors are welcome to participate and support WaterlooObituaries.com by advertising (i.e., local funeral centres, cemeteries, monument suppliers or local businesses, ...we would also include your Banners and Direct Links to your websites) – please contact us !

Participating Funeral Centres will be prominently Featured; within their Region, and within the Obituary Notices, including Links redirecting viewers to your Websites.

We are continuing to publish notices to DurhamObituraies.com …  and also for now, TorontoObituaries.com and HaltonObituaries.com

Thank you for visiting our website.

We plan to have the 9 other Regional Websites back on-line soon!

Sincerely,

WaterlooObituaries.com

Kean WinnifredKEAN, Winnifred Loyola  -  Passed away unexpectedly at Village of Winston Park Retirement, Kitchener on Sunday June 10, 2018, age 91.

Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Kean (2011).

Dear mother of Myra and her husband Philip Henhoeffer, and Emily and her husband Craig Martin. Will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Ryan Henhoeffer, and Gwyneth and Declan Martin.

Predeceased by her parents Floyd and Ida Green, and brother Ellwood Green.

Winnifred was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and lived in Vancouver and Calgary throughout her childhood, eventually settling with her parents and brother in Guelph, Ontario. She spent many years working as a bookkeeper until her marriage to Lloyd in 1961. They lived in Guelph until 1968, then moved to Bruce County to farm.  Being a city girl, Winnifred was a real trooper and took on country life just as she approached everything in life, with determination and a will to succeed.  She was a longtime, dedicated member of the Women’s Institute at Knox Presbyterian Church in Teeswater. In 1984, after Lloyd’s retirement, they moved to Kitchener where they finished raising their daughters and enjoyed retirement, and their friends at Calvin Presbyterian Church in Kitchener.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Winnifred with her family during visitation at Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, Waterloo, on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, June 15, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 248 Westmount Rd. E., Kitchener on Saturday June 16, 2018 at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Frank Szatmari officiating. A reception will follow the service immediately in the church hall. Interment Memory Gardens, Breslau.

Donations to Calvin Presbyterian Church may be made.
