We Regret to Announce That We Have Had to Discontinue

For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Sponsors are welcome to participate and support WaterlooObituaries.com by advertising (i.e., local funeral centres, cemeteries, monument suppliers or local businesses, ...we would also include your Banners and Direct Links to your websites) – please contact us !

Participating Funeral Centres will be prominently Featured; within their Region, and within the Obituary Notices, including Links redirecting viewers to your Websites.

We are continuing to publish notices to DurhamObituraies.com …  and also for now, TorontoObituaries.com and HaltonObituaries.com

Thank you for visiting our website.

We plan to have the 9 other Regional Websites back on-line soon!

Meyer JeromeMEYER, Jerome John  -  Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family June 10, 2018, at the age of 89 years.

Jerry was the loving husband of 49 years to Margaret Meyer.

Loving father of Karen Meyer of Toronto, Jennifer Kedmenecz (Michael) of Waterloo and Sarah Bota (Matthew) of London. Adored Poppa of Ryan, Sydney and Bridget.

His quiet presence will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his granddaughter Avery (2007), his brothers Howard, Dennis (Denny), Lorne (Brownie), and his parents Alfred and Mary Meyer.

Jerry was President and Owner of Lou’s Bearings and Transmission. He started his career with his brothers Howard and Denny at Meyer Industrial in Waterloo. Jerry was a man of few words and chose instead to lead by example. He was kind, generous and a man of his word. Jerry enjoyed the simple things in life: reading, single malt scotch, smoking his pipe and his Model T Ford. Much time was also spent with family and friends at the lake. Jerry was a life long resident of Waterloo, a proud member of the Serra Club of Kitchener-Waterloo and devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Jerry with his family during visitation at Erb & Good Family funeral home, Waterloo, on Wednesday June 13, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held at 8:45 p.m. in the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, 173 Lourdes St., Waterloo on Thursday June 14, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Peter Meyer as Celebrant. Interment to follow at Parkview Cemetery. Reception will be held at Westmount Golf and Country Club, Waterloo following the church service.

Donations to Ronald McDonald House (Hamilton) may be made.

Thank you to the staff at Highview Residences for their care and friendship towards Jerry.
