We Regret to Announce That We Have Had to Discontinue

For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Sponsors are welcome to participate and support WaterlooObituaries.com by advertising (i.e., local funeral centres, cemeteries, monument suppliers or local businesses, ...we would also include your Banners and Direct Links to your websites) – please contact us !

Participating Funeral Centres will be prominently Featured; within their Region, and within the Obituary Notices, including Links redirecting viewers to your Websites.

We are continuing to publish notices to DurhamObituraies.com …  and also for now, TorontoObituaries.com and HaltonObituaries.com

Thank you for visiting our website.

We plan to have the 9 other Regional Websites back on-line soon!

Hallman RobertHALLMAN, Robert 'Bob' James  -  Passed away peacefully on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Innisfree House at the age of 86.

Much loved husband of Barbara Ann Einwechter (Barb) for 56 years, proud father of Greg (Nancy), Jeananne, and Tim (Heather).

A loving Grandpa to Riley, Max, Tyler, Adam, Alexandra, Claire and Dana.

Bob will be fondly remembered by brother-in-law Jim (Marilyn) Einwechter, Ted Dopp (Val) and many special nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

He was predeceased by sisters Alice and Jean and a brother Ralph.

Bob was born in Kitchener to parents Mabel and Clifford Knox and raised by Florence and Morgan Hallman on a farm near New Dundee.  In his youth, he enjoyed showing cattle at local fairs and performing at drama festivals.  His nickname was RED and he had a great pitching arm for local ball teams.  Bob’s career was with the Waterloo County Board of Education for 32 years, serving as a teacher, vice principal and principal in multiple locations throughout the Region of Waterloo.  He was a faithful member of Faith Lutheran Church in Kitchener, a loyal supporter of the Lutheran Laymen’s League, and an enthusiastic volunteer for the Haiti Mission Society.  The family cottage on the Bruce Peninsula was a loved location where many days of family time occurred.  A voracious reader and an avid sports fan, his family and a strong faith in God were his passions in life.  Our friend and father was a kind and generous man with a wonderful sense of humour.  He had the ability to see the good in all situations and always looked at the bright side of life with enthusiastic optimism.

Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Bob during visitation at Erb & Good Family funeral home, Waterloo, on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 247 Westmount Rd. E., Kitchener on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow. Interment at New Dundee Union Cemetery.

Memorial donations to Lutheran Hour Minisitries, Faith Lutheran Church, or the Lung Association may be made.
