We Regret to Announce That We Have Had to Discontinue

For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Sponsors are welcome to participate and support WaterlooObituaries.com by advertising (i.e., local funeral centres, cemeteries, monument suppliers or local businesses, ...we would also include your Banners and Direct Links to your websites) – please contact us !

Participating Funeral Centres will be prominently Featured; within their Region, and within the Obituary Notices, including Links redirecting viewers to your Websites.

We are continuing to publish notices to DurhamObituraies.com …  and also for now, TorontoObituaries.com and HaltonObituaries.com

Thank you for visiting our website.

We plan to have the 9 other Regional Websites back on-line soon!

Green EleanorGREEN, Eleanor Margaretta (nee Ferner; formerly Lafleur)  -  Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Grand River Hospital.

Last one standing, she outlived all of her family members at the ripe ol' age of 90!  What a life she lived: mother, grandmother, GG, special auntie, caregiver, golfer-extraordinaire (snagging 3 hole-in-ones), wicked bridge and game player, avid shopper and clothes-horse with a flair for fashion.

A survivor of the great depression, she saw the birth of colour TV, shopping malls, computers and cellphones (neither which she could understand). Queen of the jigsaw puzzles, seamstress and made the best darn oatmeal cookies in the world!

She is survived by her children: Yvette Fulton (Gerry Lawrence), Joseph Lafleur (Paula Ferreira), Michele (Randy) Brubacher; step-daughters: Sandy (Stephen) Glibota, Donna (Dave) Gojmerac. Grandchildren: Jamie (Joanne) and Ryan (Ashley) Fulton, Madeleine and Aline Lafleur; step-grandchildren: Alexandra Young, Matthew (Lisanne) and David Glibota, Holly and Rachel Gojmerac. Great-Grandmother (GG) to:  Tianna, Caleb, Cole, Darrius, Miya and Koen.

Predeceased by her son Guy Paul, first husband, Joseph Zenon (Zeke) Lafleur and her second husband, John Edward Green.

Eleanor's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with prayers at 8:45 p.m. on Monday August 6, 2018 at Henry Walser funeral home, Kitchener. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes, 173 Lourdes St. W., Waterloo N2L 1N5 on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery. Reception at Our Lady of Lourdes following the burial.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Arthritis Society or Muscular Dystrophy Canada would be appreciated by the family.
