It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Milton, on Monday June 15, 2015 at the Norfolk General Hospital.

Milt was born in Kitchener at #1 Oak St. on May 19, 1922. He graduated from K.C.I. He volunteered and enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force when he was 18 years of age, as a bombardier instructor and was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 121.

Milt was married to his dear wife and best friend Ruth (Fischer) on July 15, 1950.

Loving father of Barbara Putnoki (Ed), Sandra Simpson (Frank), Reginald Clarke (Sandy) and Ron Clarke (Tammie), and loving Papa of 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

He was a well known business man in Cambridge with his own retail shoe store at 79 Dickson St. for 30 years. Milt was a previous member of the Galt Curling Club, past president of the Civic Service Club of Galt, and one of the founding members of the Probus Club of Preston and Hespeler and a member of the Cambridge Probus Club. Devoted to St. David’s Anglican Church and member of St. Thomas the Apostle Anglican Church. He spent the summer months of many years at his cottage at Turkey Point where he was active at St. Andrew’s By-the-Lake Anglican summer services.

A Legion Service under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion Galt Branch 121 will be held at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St. N. Cambridge, Ontario, on Thursday June 18, 2015 at 1 pm, immediately followed by a Celebration of Milt’s life.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the loving care and support from the doctors and nurses at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Beloved wife of Percy Duffenais. Loving mother of Julie Clair (Adam), Vincent Duffenais, and Christopher Duffenais (Kim). Sadly missed by her loving grandchildren, Aidan, Lilah, Kayla, Myah, Brianna, Zachary, Hannah and Austin.

Dear sister of Clyde LaCosta (Betty), Edward LaCosta, Isabelle Doucette (Joe), and Mazie Benoit (Jude). Sister-in-law to Matilda LaCosta and Judy Baker.
Predeceased by her parents, Stan and Marion LaCosta; sister, Patsy Goulding (John); Brothers, Stanley LaCosta Jr., Ivan LaCosta, Maurice LaCosta and Terry LaCosta.

Stella's family will receive friends and relatives at the Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S. Kitchener, Ontario on Wednesday from 2-4, 7-9pm. (Prayers 3:00pm). Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday June 18, 2015 at 11:00am from St. Johns R.C. Church, 85 Strange St. Kitchener.

Cremation to follow.

Jean was the beloved wife of the late Douglas Karn (1980).

Margaret was predeceased by her parents Louis and Mary Howell and brother Blaine.

Margaret was a member of St. Mary of the Visitation Parish and a 50 year member of the CWL.

Margaret’s family will welcome friends and relatives at the Dale Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Boulevard, Cambridge, Ontario, on Wednesday, June 17th, 2015 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm with vigil prayers at 8 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Visitation Parish, 16 Cooper Street, , Cambridge, Ontario, on Thursday June 18th, 2015 at 11 am.

It is with great sadness that the family of Bill Tanchuk announce his passing on Monday, June 15th, 2015 at Forest Heights Long Term Care in Kitchener.

Predeceased by his loving wife of 62 years, Isabel (2013); survived by his sons, Brian (Elaine) and Brent (Ann); proud Papa T to Michael Tanchuk (Allison), Lindsay Waugh (Ben), Brittany Sobisch, Maxine Sobisch and great grandfather to Briar Waugh. Also survived by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Margery McCurdy of Exeter.

From humble beginnings in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, Bill enjoyed a rather full and colourful life. Salesman, semi-pro hockey player, Taxi owner, electrician, Bill did it all before opening Style Trend Home Furnishings, Big Bills Bargain Warehouse and later Comfort Plus Furniture in Waterloo. Never at a loss for words, he was both well-known and respected in the furniture industry. An avid sportsman, Bill enjoyed curling, golf, fishing, and fastball, but most of all hockey. He loved his hockey. Bill was a former owner of the Tier 2 Jr. A Cambridge Winter Hawks and Kitchener Ranger B's as well as sponsoring numerous successful industrial hockey and fastball teams in the Region. In later years, Bill and Isabel cherished their retirement time spent at their cottage at Poplar Beach with family, friends and neighbours.

Many Heartfelt thanks to the entire staff at Forest Heights Long Term Care. Your care, compassion, patience and humour will never be forgotten.

Big hearted loving Lorrie, still only '29' will be missed by so many. In Lorrie’s short life she touched so many lives.  She will be missed by her mother Loretta, her sisters Marjorie Langer, Julie Streit (Steve), nephews and niece Daniel Langer, Katelynn Langer and Billy Streit.  Her special friends Hai, her 'Creek Sister' Amy, Tiffany, Heidi and of course her dog penny. Remembered by her many aunts, uncles and cousins. Lorrie was predeceased by her father Clare Baechler.

Lorrie was a loyal employee of Manulife Financial for over 16 years. She spoke of all her colleagues fondly. She was a dedicated volunteer of 'Send Them Off Smiling'. Giving her time to others was second nature to Lorrie. She loved a good game of cards and spent so much of her time laughing with friends and family. Lorrie was a happy, incredible woman. Lorrie was a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, New Hamburg.

The Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday June 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, New Hamburg.

Bakermann_MarthaIn her 83rd year (1932-2015), passed away peacefully at St. Mary's General Hospital, with her children at her side, on Sunday, June 14, 2015.

She was born in Nordenham, Germany on August 29, 1932, and raised in Rodenkirchen, Germany, with several brothers and sisters. Dear mother, survived by her daughters, Gunda (Ian) Boterman and Sigrid 'Sigi' Bakermann of Kitchener, and her son John (Nicole Gusé) of Waterloo. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Erlina Boterman (Brad Armstrong) of Cochenour, Joshua and Madison Bakermann of Waterloo; and by her sisters in Germany, Hanna (Gerold) Toenjes of Butjadingen, and Ella (Hans-Gerd) Westje, of Jadeberg. She was predeceased by her husband Anton 'Guenther' (2006), sister Helen Koller (2004) as well as many close relatives here in Canada and by her parents Wilhelm Laverenz (gen. Bors), Elfriede (nee Boyks) and her nine brothers and sisters, all of Germany.

Elfriede will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews, but especially by her niece Anne Marie and her husband Jack Massey, where she loved to visit and enjoy their beautiful backyard and garden in the summertime.

Elfriede and her husband had immigrated to Canada in 1958, along with her two daughters, and eventually settled in Kitchener, where in 1963 they purchased their first home and when their son was born in 1964, their family was complete. Later in 1981, she and her husband, along with their son, moved to Brussels to follow her husband's dream of owning a farm, which they had purchased in the early 1970's. However, she returned to the city of Kitchener following her husband's death in 2006. Elfriede had worked as a cook at the Coronet Motor Hotel in Kitchener, from 1962-1977 and from the early 1980's until the mid 1990's, went to work at Osogood with her sister at her sister's family business.

Elfriede's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday June 17, 2015 from 6-9 pm at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, Ontario. Visitation will continue on Thursday June 18, 2015 at 1 pm until the time of Elfriede's funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 2 pm. Interment followed by a reception at the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre. The funeral home can be accessed via Wellington St., to Moore Ave. to King St. Please call the funeral home if you require further directions 519-745-9495.

Stueck_IvanAt age 93, of Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital surrounded by family on June 14, 2015, after a brief illness. Ivan was born in North Easthope Township, December 3, 1921 son of the late Albert and Anna (Herman) Stueck.

On June 3, 1953 Ivan married Mynetta Schmidt at St. James Lutheran Church, North Easthope and the couple farmed in North Easthope Township until retiring to Stratford in 2005. Ivan was a faithful lifelong member of St. James Lutheran Church.

Beloved husband of Mynetta (Schmidt).

Loving father of James Stueck and Kathryn Sleightholm (Ross). He will be missed by his grandchildren Elizabeth and Kristina Sleightholm. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother Glen, a sister Ruth Walsh (Robert) and by a brother-in-law Wilbert Schmidt.

Funeral Service will be held in Stratford, on Tuesday, June 16th.
