The Funeral Service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 136 Margaret Ave., Kitchener on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Robin Korsch officiating. A luncheon will follow at the church. Interment in Breslau.  Arrangements out of Waterloo.

Survived by her loving husband of almost 60 years, Ron Shaver and her dear brother David (Glenna) of Port Loring, Ontario. Loving mother to Paula Campsall (Paul), Sandi McCrory (Brian), Steve (Kendra), Mark (Karen). Cherished grandmother to Jeanine, Jeffrey, Simon, Stuart, Patrick, Luke, Will and Ellie.

She enjoyed a life full of laughter and many friendships, with fellow quilters and card players, hockey parents, neighbours at the lake and at home, her longtime school friends, and her St. Mark’s Church Community. She loved gathering with family and friends.

Thank you to her pastors and healthcare providers for their concern and care throughout the years.

A memorial service will take place Tuesday August 12, 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 825 King St. W, Kitchener. Arrangements out of Waterloo.

Clayton was the beloved husband of Delila (Bauman) Bowman of Elmira.

Dear father of Dorothy and Leonard Bearinger, Urias and Diane Bowman, Wilma and Grant Brubacher, Richard Bowman, Ron and Tracey Bowman, Stuart Bowman and Melodie Robertson. Loved grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Brother of Lucinda Martin. Predeceased by his parents John and Annie (Lichty) Bowman, two granddaughters, three sisters, and three brothers.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Crystal View Mennonite Church, Floradale. Interment. Arrangements out of Elmira.

Helen had been very involved in Opening New Doors and had loved Badminton and was a member of the Granite Club and had been a champion in her youth. She was a passionate gardener and had great dedication for helping families and organizations who had children with disabilities.

Loving mother to Stephen and his wife Susanne of Fort Erie, John and his wife Kathy of Toronto, Tony and his wife Eileen of Waterloo and Gregory of Kitchener.

Beloved Baba to 8 grandchildren Allison, Philip, Juliana, Emily, David, Laura, Brian and Jason and 5 great grandchildren, Hanna, Ander, Fraser, Avelene and Oliver.

Predeceased by her parents Edward Lang and Julianna Moser, her husband Alex in 1993, her daughter Mary Ellen in 1966, five brothers Carl, Ed, Harry, Vic and Bill and two sisters, Kay Durocher and Pat McKenna.

Friends may call at the RATZ-BECHTEL FUNERAL HOME, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm where parish prayers will be recited at 8:45 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday from St. Michael's Church, with Father Con O'Mahony officiating. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery, reception to follow in the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre.

He is predeceased by his parents John and Irene (Hoffarth) Everson. Survived by four sisters, Phyllis Crampton (Arnold), Virginia Everson, Margaret Bodendistel (Paul), all of Guelph, and Catherine Everson of Brampton, Ontario; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts and many cousins. He will be missed by friends and co-workers, especially the little children at the YM-YWCA daycare centre at St. Michael's School on Stone Road.

At John's request there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place at a later date. Arrangements out of Guelph.

Doug was a respected businessman in the community, well-known as the owner of Fleischmann Jewellers.

He is survived by his wife, Diane; children, Diane (Wes) Swail, Patty (Mark Rubenstein), Tom (Stephanie); step-children, Kathy Boucher (Rick) and Bob Boylen (Natasha). Mike was also proud papa to Amy Abbott, Leah Tambila (Tani), Michael (Tina), Ashley (Justin), Samuel, Aaron, Briana and Mackenzie; great-grandchildren, Lafia and Mateo. He is fondly remembered by his step-grandchildren, Chantal, Remi, Joel, Liann, Julie, Alena and Alexia; and step-great-grandchildren, Ava, Brody, Lucas, Lauryn and Vienna. He is also survived by his sister, Phil; and first wife, Dorcas.

Mike was born in Welland to Joseph and Vittoria Lafratta and attended school, where his only real interest was playing the violin in the orchestra. After completing high school he went to Queen's University. This was a new experience for him and he excelled in his courses.

He graduated with an honours B.A. Following university he attended Ontario Centres of Excellence and got hooked on teaching. He started his career in Oshawa, then moved to Toronto and finally ended up in Etobicoke.

Attending University of Toronto after school he received his M.A. His 28 years in Etobicoke were very rewarding for him. He became a principal, superintendent and retired as Acting Associate Director of Education. He always said that his favourite job was principal and he tried to know most of the students by name. After his move to Cambridge, Mike put his computer skills to work producing the newsletter for the local branch of the RTO and later he spent 12 years producing the newsletter for the Probus Club of Preston-Hespeler.

 Mike served on committees and boards in Cambridge, the St. Luke's Foundation and the Cultural Policy Committee among others. In retirement Mike enjoyed winters in Myrtle Beach, cruises and bus trips in Europe.

Memorial service will be held in Cambridge, on Saturday, August 16th.  Interment will be in Cambridge at a later date.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations made to the Grand River Hospital Foundation or to the United Way of Cambridge would be appreciated.

We would like to thank all the nurses, doctors and caregivers at Grand River Hospital for their thoughtfulness while caring for Mike.

We are also grateful for the care received in our home from the personal care workers and the nurses .

Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Larissa (Guennadi), Eric (Maiko), Marc (Sidney), Antony, Max (Zen), and Frank of Australia; Andrew (Kristen) of Alberta; Sarah and John (Paula) of Kitchener; and Christopher (Patty) of Guelph. Also survived by 6 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his father Ludwig, mother Jadwiga, 9 older brothers and a twin sister.

Felix was born in the Ukraine and immigrated to the Kitchener area with his wife in 1948. He became a 2nd Class Stationary Engineer and worked at J.M. Schneider for over 25 years.

Felix's family wish to thank the staff of Emmanuel Village and Trinity Village Care Center for their compassionate care.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 14th, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 66 Shanley St., Kitcherner, at 10 am. Cremation to follow. Interment to take place on Tuesday, August 19th.

Lyle worked with The Beer Store for over 40 years, throughout Ontario. He recently returned to Guelph, with his wife of 42 years, after enjoying semi-retirement on Trout Lake in North Bay. He loved the outdoors, travelling and spending time with family.

The beloved wife of the late Edward Florian Poplata (December 12, 1995).

She was the dear mother of Christina Poplata-Mayer of Woodstock and by George Poplata and his wife Nancy of Guelph. Janina is fondly remembered by her grandchildren Robert and Andrew Mayer and David, Amy and Jessica Poplata.

Quinn_JohnOf Guelph, Ontario died on August 7th at home surrounded by his wife and son. He was born on April 10, 1945 in Lanark, Scotland and came to Canada in 1967.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Anne (nee Turner) whom he married in 1968, his adoring son Stuart (Kathleen McColm) and his grandson Declan. He is survived by his sister Eleanor, his brother Kenneth, his sister-in-law Linda, his brothers and sisters-in-laws Alec Turner (Liz), Evelyn Turner, Nora Hamilton (Archie), George Turner (Katrina), and Patrick Turner (Hazel). John will also be missed by his numerous nieces and nephews. John is predeceased by his brothers-in-law Bob Omen (May 9, 2014) and John Turner (October 3 1997).

John worked as an electrician for over 40 years. He had many hobbies including golf, gardening and woodworking. John was well known for always helping others.

Bauman_CatherinePassed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 in her 101st year at Columbia Forest Long Term Care Centre. Catherine was born November 4, 1913 in Kitchener.

Loving mother of Sharon (Arthur) Reimer and Mary-Lynn (Philip) Dedels. Dear grandmother of Laurie (Joel) Lafleur and Eric Dedels; great grandmother of Renee and Ethan Lafleur. Predeceased by her loving husband Roy, son-in-law Henry Dyck, granddaughter Shelley Dyck, parents, brothers and sisters.

Service will be held in Waterloo, on Monday, August 11th. Interment to follow.

Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or a charity of choice.

Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Elmer Domman (2008).

Loving mother of Richard of Toronto and Donna (Norman Vanderburgh predeceased October 2000) of Waterloo. Cherished Nana to Elizabeth (Richard) and Catherine Vanderburgh. Dear sister to Betty Bonneville.
Predeceased by her sisters Wilma and Doris as well as her parents Oswald and Laura (neé Herbert) Reading.

Eleanor was very active in St. Stephen Lutheran Church where she enjoyed many social activities including quilting.
Eleanor and Elmer enjoyed years of extensive travel and peaceful times on Lake Huron.

A Funeral Service will be held at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 248 Highland Road East, Kitchener on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation 1 hour prior to the service starting at 1:00 p.m. The Rev. Richard Schwass officiating. Interment will follow in Waterloo. Arrangements out of Waterloo. 

Donations may be made to the Building Fund of St. Stephen Lutheran Church or the Canadian Cancer Society.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother died peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg, at 10:20 p.m. on August 6, 2014.

Edith was born in Galt, ON 27 August 1922, the eldest daughter of Albert Edward Barraclough and his wife Irene Fulford. 

In 1945 Edith married Robert Wesley James and together they had their son, David Wesley and daughter Susan Elizabeth.  Edith was the loving grandmother of Jennifer, Kimberly and Lori and proud and loving great-grandmother of Jake, Emma, Grace, Myah and Liam.

Edith was predeceased by her parents, her husband Bob in 2004 and her brother Bert in 2011.

Edith is survived by her son David, daughter Susan and her husband Ross, her granddaughters, Jenn and her husband Kirk, Kim and Lori and her great-grandchildren Jake, Emma, Grace, Myah and Liam.

Edith will be fondly remembered by her sister Ann and her husband Stan, her sister-in-law Louise, her nieces and nephews, extended family and numerous friends.

A warm and caring woman who took the greatest pleasure in her family, her pets and her garden. May God grant her eternal peace.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends in Ontario and out West.

George was a proud member of the CN Pensioners Association for many years.

She was employed at Huck Glove from the mid 1950’s until retirement.

Beloved wife of the late Horst Kaufmann (1991).

Loving and dedicated mother to her son Harry Kaufmann and her daughter Heike Kaufmann, grandsons Cory-James Kaufmann and Harley Kaufmann-Sacrey. Remembered by Harley’s father Chris Sacrey. Special aunt to Kathy Kunz and Tilly Lukitsch and great aunt to Christina Mulligan and Tammy (Reg) Wagler and their children Shelby, Cassidy and Alexander. Predeceased by her parents Valentine and Katharina (nee Steiner) Lukitsch, brothers Valentin Lukitsch, Nicholas Lukitsch and his wife Eva, as well as niece Maria Theresa in infancy.

The Funeral Service will be held Waterloo, on Wednesday, August 13th. Interment in Kitchener.

Donations may be made to the National Service Dogs in honour of Regina’s love for dogs.

Funeral Service will be held at New Life Christian Reformed Church, 400 Victoria Rd. N., Guelph on Sunday, August 10th at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the church hall. All are welcome.

(August 27, 1935 - August 6, 2014) - Surrounded by those who loved him and were able to share his last adventure with him.

Survived by his third wife Sharyn. Rick will be missed greatly by his daughter Natasha Riddiford (Bruce) and son Pringle (Brenda) and step-daughters Cathy and Jenny. Predeceased by step-daughter Nancy and her husband Henry.

He was a very proud Poppa to Shelby, Sydney, Brett, Adam, Joel and Rob. He leaves behind many other friends who will miss him.

A celebration of life will be held on August 27th from 12-3 p.m. at the Community Living Association in Guelph 8 Royal Road. Please join us and share your favourite stories or memories of Rick.

A Graveside Service to celebrate Grace’s life will be held in Kitchener, on Friday, August 15th. Arrangements out of Waterloo.
