Passed away suddenly at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Monday April 22 at the age of 65.
Beloved husband and best friend of Linda (nee Gregson) loving father of Jason and Curtis (Noi).
Also mourning his loss are his parents Albert and Josephine Kalvi, his brother Joe (Laurel Lee) from Lethbridge AB and his brother John from California.
Bronco was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces for 30 years and after retiring he was employed by L3 Wescam for 13 years where he was supervisor of the Optics department.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Cambridge Golf Club, 1346 Clyde Rd, Cambridge, Sunday May 5, starting at 2pm.

Peacefully passed away on Monday, April 22, 2013 at Chateau Gardens Assisted Living at the age of 85 years. Maryann, of Elmira.
The beloved wife of the late Samuel B. Martin (December 1, 2004). Dear mother of Keith and Christine, Gord and Damaris, Brian and Marilyn, Susan Midgley, Dwight and Jane.
Maryann will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Julia and Alyse; Anna and Sophia; Bradley (Laura), Wesley and Laura; Tyler (Louise), Jodi (Matt), Alisha; Phoebe and Simon. Sister of Wayne and Naomi, Lovina Ruttan, Anson and Sharon, Mervin and Alma.
Predeceased by her parents Ezra and Louisa (Bauman) Martin, sisters Adeline Martin and Elmina Brubacher, and brothers Onias, Leander and Milton.
Maryann’s love for her Saviour was reflected in her gentle and loving spirit through her service to others. Whether it was raising her large family, serving at church, or assisting fellow residents at Chateau Gardens she did so quietly and faithfully. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Arrangements out of Elmira. The funeral service will be held at Woodside Bible Fellowship on Thursday, April 25th at 1 p.m. followed by interment.

Passed away at Grand River Hospital on April 22, 2013 in his 58th year. With unwavering strength and determination, Chuck battled pancreatic cancer.
Loving husband to Carole (nee Eisenbach) and proud father to Aaron, Caitlin and Nathan.
Beloved son of Joy Roth, predeceased by his father Carl. Brother to Jim (Rose Mary), Roger (Sherryl), Dan (Faye) and Andrea. Brother-in-law to Ray Eisenbach (Ann) and Joan Good (Gerald).
Survived by many nieces and nephews. A huge thank-you to all the home care nurses and the nurses at Grand River Hospital, especially those on the 5th Floor, for all of your help and support on our journey.
Special thanks to Dr. Hubay, Dr. Husein and Dr. Ward.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the RATZ-BECHTEL FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday, April 30th at 11:30am, followed by a celebration of life reception in the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre.

Mary left a lasting impression in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her. While it seems unbearable to think of life without her, we know she is free of pain and in a better place.
Beloved wife of Gary Schwindt for 47 wonderful years. Dear mother of Brent of Guelph, Todd (Kim) of New Hamburg and Jason (Laura) of Kitchener. Mary's pride and joy were her grandchildren Hope, Brooklyn, Jade, Tyler, Cole, Kai and Brady. Mary will be missed by Linda Schwindt.
Dear sister of Graham MacDougall (Ruby) of London, Ken MacDougall (Ruth Ann) of New Brunswick and Jim MacDougall (Anne) of Courtice, ON. Dear sister-in-law of Anne MacDougall of Holstein. Survived by her mother-in-law Marion Schwindt and brother-in-law Daryl Schwindt.
Predeceased by her parents Agnes and Jack MacDougall and brothers Jack, Donald (Tuffy), Lincoln, Peter and her sister-in-law Betty and father-in-law Wray Schwindt.
Mary was born in Mt. Forest where she met the love of her life. She had many wonderful friends and was quick to lend a hand to those in need. Everyone loved and admired Mary for her kindness, love, compassion and endearing smile! As one friend said "She did it all with such style and grace". Mary drew her strength from her family. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren at the cottage and enjoyed watching them play hockey, figure skate and play soccer.
Funeral service 3 pm on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 54 Queen St. N., Kitchener followed by a reception in Iona Hall. Cremation to follow.

It is with great sadness that we announce Peter's sudden passing at his home in St. Thomas, Ontario on April 22, 2013 at the age of 73.
Originally from Guelph, Ontario and a long-time resident of Cambridge, Ontario, Peter was a loving husband, a proud father, and supportive brother who passed away doing one of the things he loved the most: working on cars.
Peter leaves behind his wife Marlene, his daughters Michelle and Julie Scott; his step-children Wendy McCleary, Larry Haywood, Debi Dickson, Peter Haywood, and Dana Haywood; his siblings, Linda Foubert-Scott, Paul Scott and Heather Kovacik; and his many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Peter was predeceased by his parents James Scott and Dorothy Scott (Harrison), his wife Shirley Scott (Haywood), and his sister Karen Scott.

Passed into the presence of her Lord and Saviour at Grey Gables Home for the Aged, surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Evert (2004).
Cherished mother of Bob (Paula) Wiersma, Katherine (Harold) Watson, Helen (Delmar) Shulist-Martin and Lucy Walker (Mike Paquette). Jean will be missed by her grandchildren Craig, Todd and Lance Rettinger, Karen Button, Derek Quill, Adam and Nicholas Shulist as well as 9 great-grandchildren.
Jean was also predeceased by her sister Luurtska Bos (1995) and granddaughter Jennifer Seifried (2012).
Jean loved the great outdoors and enjoyed gospel music to the very end.
Service to celebrate Jean’s life will be held at Waterloo Christian Reformed Church, 209 Bearinger Road, Waterloo on Friday, April 26, 2013 at 11:00a.m. Rev. Vicki Cok officiating.
A reception will immediately follow the funeral service at the church.

Passed away at Guelph General Hospital on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the age of 75.
"Jim" was the beloved husband and best friend of Elaine for over 51 years.
Dear father of Lisa Bigam (Joe Contini) and Kim Bigam (Rochelle Christie). Proud Grandpa of Megan, Molly and Sara Contini. He will also be missed by Kyle, Lauren and Cameron MacFarlane. Jim is survived by siblings; Ronald (Ruth Anne), Gordon, Elsie Dunn and sister-in-law, Shirley and their families.
He will be remembered as a supportive, dedicated grandfather, having spent many hours cheering at minor hockey and baseball games. He thoroughly enjoyed his teaching career, as well as gardening, curling and playing cards.
At Jim’s request, there will be no services.
Cremation has taken place and he will be laid to rest at a later date.

He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Barbara Mae. Devoted father to Barrie (Joan), Patricia (Brian), Roger (Valerie), Dianne (Don), Susan, Jane (John), Anita (Jim) and father-in-law to Joan.
He will be sadly missed by 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grand-children and many nieces and nephews. Dear brother of Eileen, Peter and Mary of England. Derrick will also be missed by many friends locally and in Florida.

Valene (Val) Jones, née Varey, 72, died peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus on April 21, 2013 following a short but fierce battle against cancer.
She will be remembered by Henry, her husband of 53 years, her three children Viki (Tom Sweetman), Chris (Helen Michel) and Tina (Dominique Blanc) and her five grandchildren Nathalie, Erik, Elliott, Xavier and Kali, predeceased by her parents Elgie and Pearl Varey and brother Leonard and survived by her sister and friend Lynda King, her nephew Daniel and nieces Christina and Melissa on her side.
She will also leave behind a large extended family on the Jones side, including godchildren and special nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.
Tea parties, tutoring, painting and travel were special to her. Val was an inspiration to many through her passion for teaching in the separate and public school systems in Wellington, North Wellington, Bruce-Grey, Halton regions, as well as in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Val's true love was education, but was rivaled by her creating and collecting of art, adopting and spoiling her menagerie of pets and indulging her grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered as a unique, authentic and vibrant woman by those whose lives she touched.
Val requested that Dr. Jafferjee and the dedicated and supportive health care teams at Groves Memorial and the Juravinski Cancer Centre be thanked. Private Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Guelph, on Monday, April 29th.

PARKER, Velma Grace -
of Kitchener, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Sunday, April 21, 2013.
She was born 88 years ago on May 29, 1924, and raised on the family farm in Bright, the only daughter of the late Havelock and Martha (Mann) Parker.
Velma was the last surviving member of her family – having been predeceased by her 4 brothers – Bruce (in infancy), Willis (& Jean) Parker, Earle Parker and Roy Parker, and her great-nephew Christopher Quanz. She will be greatly missed by her sister-in-law Ann Parker and nieces and nephews Bruce & Angie Parker, Dianne & John Coghill, Elaine & John Quanz, Wendy & Sandy Wagler; Ken & Pat Parker, Kathy & Tim Weaver, Bob & Kim Parker, and Cheryl & John Donlevy. Many great-nieces and nephews along with great-great nieces and nephews have treasured their time with “Auntie Velma” and will miss her as well.
Velma was a founding member of the International Gospel Centre in Kitchener, serving God and her church family with passion and dedication, and forming friendships that lasted a lifetime. Even when her health made it difficult to attend on Sundays, Velma maintained those friendships and her love for the church community.
Although trained as a teacher, Velma found her career at Mutual Life in Waterloo – spending almost 40 years employed there. Thank-you to the staff of Lanark Place for their interest and care as Velma enjoyed the last two years of retirement living, and also to the staff of Grand River and Freeport Hospitals for their care in the last six weeks.
Velma was known for her sense of humour, her quick and ready smile, her prolific memory and her belief and faith in the Lord’s strength and healing. She will be missed by many!
Funeral Service will be conducted from the International Gospel Centre, 35 Charles Street, East, Kitchener on Thursday April 25, 2013 at11:00a.m. Officiated by Pastor Mark Emmerson.

Private interment at Grove Cemetery, Dundas, Ontario.

March 3, 1925 - April 20, 2013
Died in the Trillium Health Care Centre of complications following cancer surgery at the age of 88 years.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of nearly 63 years, Doreen (nee Hilson) and his loving daughter Patricia Christie. Cherished grandfather of Robert, Amanda, Jennifer and Jeffrey.
Predeceased by his brother Adam, daughter Judy Fields and son- in-law David Christie.
Sid was a longtime employee of Loblaws.
A Memorial Service will be held at Richview United Church, 149 Wellesworth Drive, Etobicoke, on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 2 p.m. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service.

1932-2013
It is with great sadness that we announce Bill’s death on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at his home in Guelph.
He is survived by his loving wife Mimi (Boyd) and by his sons, of whom he was so proud, Richard (Catharine) of Guelph, and David (Catherine) of Toronto. Also surviving are his grandchildren Caitlin, Alexander, Nicholas, Sarah, Charles and Robert. He is survived by the mother of his sons, Patricia Elgie Hamilton of Guelph.
Bill will also be greatly missed by stepchildren Carrie Hamilton of London, England, and Matthew Hamilton (Emily) of Toronto and grandchildren Robert and Claire. Also surviving are his sister and brothers, Margaret Bates (Tom) of Guelph, George (Eleanor) of Peterborough, Michael (Irena) of London, England, and Robert (Joanne) of Meaford. His nieces and nephews also mourn his loss.
Bill was born in Guelph, the son of William E. Hamilton of Guelph and Jean Clark of Ottawa. He was a graduate of the G.C.V.I. and the Ontario Agricultural College, class of 1955. He worked in the insurance and real estate business in Guelph for several years before attending law school at the University of Western Ontario. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1968 and joined the law firm of Kearns, McKinnon in Guelph, where he became a partner. He was designated Queen’s Counsel in 1981. Between 1994 and 2006 Bill was the President of the Homewood Corporation and Chair of the Homewood Health Centre Inc. He was a Director of Oakwood Retirement Communities Inc., a partially-owned subsidiary of the Homewood Corporation.
In 2006 Bill became Chair of the Board of the Homewood Corporation and in 2011 he became a Director of Schlegal Villages. Over the years, Bill served as a director of a number of companies and organizations including National Trust, Conestoga College, University of Guelph, MacDonald Stewart Art Gallery and as a member of the Provincial Judges Remuneration Committee. He served on the Ontario Hospital Association Board of Directors from 1999 to 2005.
He was active in the Progressive Conservative party. Bill was a skilled carpenter and enjoyed sailing, canoeing, hiking, skiing, and golf. He read widely in the areas of history, politics, and economics. Some of his delights were hiking the Bruce Trail end-to-end with Mimi, spending his summers on Georgian Bay, and discovering new areas of Ontario.
Cremation will take place with private inurnment.

KARGES, Jean Adele – "Express Condolences"

With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Jean Karges on April 20, 2013 in her 89th year at the Lisaard House.
She was surrounded by the love of her family.
Mother of Wayne Karges (Gaye) and Donna Helm (Roger). Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Jeff (Paulette), Rick (Kim), Tracy (Tom), Nicole (Ryan), Scott (Leslie), Jenny, Bonnie and Kelly and great grandchildren who never failed to bring a smile to her face; Justin, Jaiden, J.T., Lauren, Braeden, Cody, Raeghan, Broedy, Brennan, Ava and Layla. Nothing meant more to her than her family, and of course her beloved pug Hailey.
Predeceased by her loving husband Leonard (Lenny) Karges (1971), son Doug Karges (1999), parents Harry and Adele Huber and her only brother Donald Huber.
Special and profound thanks to the wonderful and caring staff at the Lisaard House in Cambridge who provided her with such care and compassion and to the health care professionals who were so kind to our mother.
Jean's family will receive family and friends at the RATZ-BECHTEL FUNERAL HOME, 621 King Street West, Kitchener on Tuesday, April 23 from 10:00 to 1:30 pm.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Aloysius Church at 2:00 pm with Father Vijay Martin officiating.

Terrific grandma of Angie (Mike), Christina (Hong), Sean (Katie) and Jill (Greg). Wonderful great-grandma of Scott, Kylie, Machin, Knox, and Nikko. Will be missed by loving dedicated sister Mrs. Ruth Sharpe and brother Bob Parker.

MISKIEWICZ, Stella (nee Olender) -
After a brief illness, Stella passed away on Saturday, April 20 in her 92nd year.
Devoted wife of the late John Miskiewicz and cherished mother of Tom and his wife Cathy (Amy).
Loving grandmother to John-Ross (and his friend Sarah Wenn), Amy (Daryl Henwood), Sarah (TJ Woolsey), Mary and great-grandsons Ian and Caleb. Survived by her brother Leonard Olender and his wife Marlene.
Predeceased by her beloved daughter Barbara Ann and her brother Frank.
Mom was a life-long member of Sacred Heart RC Church, having actively participated on various church committees, in the Seniors Club and as a member of the Catholic Women's League. She was a willing volunteer at Sunnyside Home for 27 years and a 70 year member of her sewing club. She loved to bowl and to golf. Until her retirement, Mom was self-employed as a hairdresser.
The family appreciates the care and support provided by the 5th floor staff of Grand River Hospital.
Special thanks to neighbours Marg and Ida Dale for their years of love and generous caring for our mother and grandmother.

Bob Newbery passed away at St. Mary’s General Hospital on April 20, 2013 at the age of 88 years.
Bob Newbery, loving husband of Jean Newbery of 51 years.
Loving father of Andrew, Bill, Liz and their partners, Richard and Angela.
Dear grandfather of Madison, Callum & Evan.
Bob was born in Battle England in 1924. He first came to Canada in 1944 to train as a pilot with the Royal Air Force.
He later emigrated to Canada in 1957. Bob enjoyed many leisure activities including gardening, photography, camping, hiking and canoeing. He was a member of the K-W Field Naturalists and a founding member of the Old Salts Senior Canoe Club.
A celebration of life in Waterloo, on Wednesday April 24th.
