Cherished wife of the late Eugene 'Bud' Harris (1983).

Survived by her children Paul Harris and his wife Kathy of Stratford and their children Tracy Ballantyne (Jason) and Matthew Harris (Tracey Mitchell); Mark Harris and his wife Ruth of Owen Sound and their children James (Melissa), Adrienne (Joel) and Andrew Harris. Missed by her great-grandchildren Cameron, Owen, Shema, Noam, Ellie and Frances.

Cherished wife of the late Gord Fleischman (1979) and the late John Giffin (2002).

Loving mother of Donna Hill of Sarnia. Dear grandmother of Cathy Passingham (Neil), Susan Vroom, and John Bloomfield and great grandmother of Dylan Vroom.

Also survived by her sister Grace Mecredy. Dorothy will be missed by several nieces and nephews.

 

Bartholomew JohnBARTHOLOMEW, John (Jack) Clayton  -  It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Jack Bartholomew, who died peacefully, surrounded by his family on November 25, 2017. 

Jack was cherished by his wife of 49 years, Jean, and his children Bradley (Cristina) Bartholomew, James (Heather) Bartholomew and Melissa (Nathan) Roth. He was the proud Poppa of Evan, Bella & Kayla.

Jack is also survived by his sisters Delores (Wayne) Thaler and Shirley Nanson, as well as his brother Bill (Joan) Bartholomew.  He will also be greatly missed by his Wilson family 'siblings' and his many nieces and nephews.

Flood DianneFLOOD, Dianne Marie (Karges)  -  It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dianne Marie Flood (nee Karges) on Saturday, November 25, 2017 after a short and valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 74. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her through these past few months.

Dianne was blessed with a large and loving family. Dianne was born to the late Rita and Jerome Karges, on August 28, 1943 in Kitchener and attended St. Mary's High School. She married Len Flood on August 19, 1967 and recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Dianne and Len made a lifetime of memories in the KW region as members of St. Francis, St. Mark and Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Churches and as owners for many years of Len Flood Town and Country Furniture, Unique Traditions Imports and M&M Meat Shop - Erb Street Waterloo from 1990-2008. Dianne received KW's Retailer of the Year in 1999 for outstanding customer service. Many of her customers and employees became lifelong friends of the family.

Wife and best friend to Ernie. Mother of Jackie, Indigo, Jill, Sam, Katie. Stepmother to David, John, Daniel, and Thomas. Proud grandmother of Liam, Nathan, Lyla, Damian, and Baby Reaume.

Beloved husband for 65 years of Silvana (Viani).

Loving father of Giuliano Viani and wife Josie of Stratford, Claudia Viani and husband Douglas Beveridge of London and Monica Viani and husband Mitchell Lauzon of Stratford. Proud grandfather to Kennedy Hall and wife Brittany, Morgan Hall and fiancé Richie and Giuliana Viani. Proud great-grandfather to Titus and Shiloh Hall.

 

Taylor BettyTAYLOR, Betty (Sanderson)  -  A warm and gentle soul died on November 25, 2017. Betty (Sanderson) Taylor, age 93 lived all of her life in Stratford.

She spent her youth dancing at the Blue Moon, bike riding, swimming in the Avon and enjoyed the simple pleasures of small town life. After the war she married our dad Ernie Taylor (deceased 1995) and devoted her life to being 'the best mom ever' to her 8 children; Karen Gastmeier (Bill), Lynda Rankin (Dave), Barb Hills (Martin), Brian Taylor (Inge), Ellen Mathie (Jim), Ruth Sickinger (Wolf), Ross Taylor (Geri), April Taylor (Edward) and family friend Philip Yielding.

Betty is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends.

 

Farkas CharlesFARKAS, Charles 'Charlie'  -  Passed away at St. Mary’s General Hospital in Kitchener on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the age of 78.

Charlie is survived by his sister Helen, his sons James, Robert and Charles and their spouses. He is also survived by his daughter Regina and his grandchildren Christine, Jessica, Blake, Samuel, and Hannah.

Predeceased by his parents, his three brothers, one sister, and his wife Anna Farkas.

 

Barlow WilliamBARLOW, William Haywood  -  (lovingly known as BJ or Bill) was born on May 7, 1950 to his loving parents Doris and the late Jack (JB) Barlow. It is with the greatest of sorrow that we announce to the world that our Patriarch of three families has passed into Heaven on November 25, 2017. He was our messenger of immeasurable love on earth.

BJ was the adored and cherished husband of Alanna Barlow (Bug).

A dearly loved dad to Kyle (Aleisha) Barlow and Jason (Jessica) Barlow. A very precious papa to Benro, Landen, baby Winter, Acacia, Mercedes, Czarina, Jack and Eloise Barlow.

 

Eade JoyEADE, Joy  -  Was born into this world on April 20, 1921. She was the second child in a family with two brothers. When she was eight, her beloved father died and her widowed mother struggled and succeeded in providing for her family. Joy said she missed her father's hugs, for her mother didn't hug her. She was sent to Sunday School with her brothers where she probably memorized John 3:16,17.

As a young woman she married Bill Flewelling and had five children: Penny, Victoria, Marc, Randy and Richard. These were mostly tumultuous years for her, although her children have fond memories of their mother baking, brailling for CNIB and creating beautiful gardens where they could play, along with a backyard rink their father made.

 

GRAVELLE, George Hector  -  Peacefully at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the age of 77. 

Pre-deceased by his mother Rose Gravelle, father Rudolph Lepine and sister Francis. 

Beloved husband of Paulette (nee Talbot). Loving father of Nicole (Ken), Sylvie (Larry), Natalie and father-in-law to Vic Pavia. Cherished grandfather of Danielle, Jesse, Marissa and Milena. 

 

CRISPIN, Maxine G.  -  (BScN)  -  Of Guelph passed away peacefully at home on November 25, 2017 at age 90 surrounded by her loving family, friends and devoted caregivers of Arbour Trails.

Beloved of all who met her, she was an extraordinary wife to Edward, inspiring mother to Brian, Jane and Karen, affectionate mother-in-law to Andrew and Jim, delighted grandmother to Charles, Alexander, Emma and Isabella Jurczynski of London, UK and to Colin, Laura and Peter May of Vancouver BC, dear friend to many, teacher of Nursing and longtime associate Librarian at the Ontario Veterinary College. 

A memorial celebration will be held at Harcourt Church, 87 Dean Avenue Guelph N1G1L3 on Friday, January 5th at 1pm.

 

Hickson NicholasHICKSON, Nicholas Stephen  -  Passed peacefully in his sleep at Sunbeam Home, Kitchener, on Friday, November 24th, 2017 at the age of 23. 

Much loved son to Glenda Rutherford, and  Stephen Hickson (Kelly Bowden), Dear brother of Jaclyn Hickson. Cherished grandson of Joyce Rutherford (late Stewart), Marlene Hickson (late George) and Doug and Gwen Bowden.

Nicholas will be fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles and cousins whom loved him dearly.

HARKIES, Shirley Jean  -  With great sadness the family of Shirley Jean Harkies announce her passing at Guelph General Hospital on Friday, November 24, 2017, at age 87 years. 

She was the loving mother of Bonnie (Dave) McCuen, Bob and Bryan and mother-in-law of Debbie.  Shirley dearly loved her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

She was predeceased by her husband Bill (1982), by her son Bill (2010), by her daughter Barbara (2017) and Barbara’s husband Tony (2006) Camilleri. 

Shirley will be missed by her friends at 387 Waterloo Ave., who shared playing many games of bingo with her.

Weatherston GuyWEATHERSTON, Guy Nelson  -  With sadness and heavy hearts, we announce that Guy Nelson Weatherston passed away on Friday, November 24th, 2017, at the age of 63.

Guy was a loving, funny, giving, and bodacious man who was so full of life. He was a wonderful friend to all who knew him; the kind of guy who was always up for anything.
