Light MarionLIGHT, Marion Kathleen  -  It is with great sadness that the family of Marion Kathleen Light announces her passing on Tuesday November 28, 2017, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in her 99th year.

Marion will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Kathy (Tom) Drew-Smith and Brenda (Rob) Wagner, and her son Ross (Chris) Light. She was a proud and much adored Grandma to Ted (Christine) Drew-Smith, Carrie (Kevin) Peart, Johanna (Taylor) McCabe, Caleigh Wagner, Jennifer (Trevor) Whittaker, David (Jenna) Light and Stephanie Light. She was a special GG to Henry, Andie, Ruby, Hazel, Sullivan and Kesler. She was looking forward to the arrival of Baby Whittaker in April 2018.

Marion will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews and friends.


Richardson MarkRICHARDSON, Mark Thomas (TOM)  -  Passed away peacefully on November 28th, 2017.

Predeceased by his parents, John O. and Gladys Richardson, and sisters Marlene and Mary.

Tom will be remembered by his loving partner, Bonnie Tkac and his brother Morley A. (Barb). He was the caring father of Amy (Patrick) and Becky Richardson and stepfather to Kate(Josh) Feetham, loving grandfather of Taylor(Cody), Connor and Chloe.

He was best friend to Jack Walkey for 65 years.

Beloved husband of Jean Gloor.

Dear father of Patricia Taylor (William), Ruth Lucas (Tom Rehberg), Susan Wilken (Grant Bernard), Steven Gloor (Tracy), Nancy Gloor and Jason Gloor (Penny). Loving grandfather of 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He will be remembered by the Eisler family and a number of foster girls.

Predeceased by his parents Jacob and Emma Gloor and grandson Jonathan Lucas.


Harper BoydHARPER, Boyd 'Bud' Alvin  -  Peacefully, in his 86th year, at the St Mary's Hospital in Kitchener, on Tuesday, November 28, 2017.

Survived by his daughters Gerda and Renate, sons-in-law Saber and Henry and grandchildren Elyas, Pauline, Timur, and Peter, nephew Gordon and niece Jane.

Predeceased by his wife of almost 50 years Lilly (Walter), parents Archie and Florence (Bryenton), brothers Burton and Donald and sister Rena.


Beechey BettyBEECHEY, Betty Ann  -  Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the age of 87. 

Betty was a peaceful, easy-going person who was a thoughtful and kind friend to everyone she met.  Betty loved to spend time sitting in her backyard, watching and feeding the chipmunks or pouring over the latest crossword puzzle. 

She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Tim and his wife Beverly, and their children Michael, Daniel, and James, her daughter Cindy Lou, her sister Shirley, her brother Bob, Uncle Jack, and many more extended family members and friends. 


Devonport StephenDEVONPORT, Stephen Michel  -  Passed away surrounded by family on November 27, 2017 in his home.

Born in Bristol England, Steve emigrated to Canada at the age of 16 with his family. Steve married Beverly Whitelock in 1975. As an advertising salesman for Canadian Machinery and Metal Working for many years Steve worked his way up to Publisher of the magazine. After 35 years with the magazine Steve retired in 2016. Throughout his life Steve pursued many passions from rugby to sailing, soccer, Formula 500, Poker, DVDs, Train Sets and Computer Games. When Steve got into something he went all in and drew others with him.

Pat is fondly remembered by her sisters, Eileen Reid (Gerald) and Marjory Murphy (David) and by Jim's family -John Chisholm (Alice), Alice Scott (Herb), Jeanie Battist (Clifford), Janice Chisholm and Gerald Chisholm (Genevieve). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 


Andraza MorrisANDRAZA, Morris James  -  Peacefully at Freeport Health Centre, Grand River Hospital on Monday, November 27th, 2017 in his 94th year. 

Predeceased by his dear wife Edith and his loving daughter Patricia Klobucar. Morris will be greatly missed by his children; Ronald (Jackie), Richard, James and Michael Andraza, and Susan Watters.  Loving grandfather to 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, Morris will be missed by all whose lives he touched.

Family and friends will be received at the Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, on Sunday, December 3rd, 2017 from 3:00 to 4:15 p.m. A celebration of Morris' life will be held in the Westmount Chapel at 4:30 p.m. Inurnment will be at Woodland Cemetery.

Dreisinger DoraDREISINGER, Dora H.  -  Peacefully passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Barnswallow Place Care Community, Elmira, at the age of 95 years.

Dora is the last surviving member of the John O. and Hannah (Grosz) Dreisinger family, having been predeceased by her twin brothers Otto (2004) and Oscar (1999) and her sisters Margaret (1982) and Edith Hackert (2000).

Dora will be lovingly remembered by her nephew David Hackert and his wife Margaret, great-nephews Robert and Paul, Chad and Andrew, great-niece Laura and their families, as well as the Saxby family of Burlington.

Beloved husband and best friend to Heinz Kuhl whom she married on August 8, 1964.

Dear brother of Fetge Benedictus, Johane Devries and Boukge Fanieren. Predeceased by siblings Griet, Sieberen and Minke. Will be missed by his canine companion Tippy.


STEWART, Gwendoline 'Gwen' (nee Scott)  -  Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Health Care Centre on Monday, November 27, 2017, at the age of 81. Born in Northern Ireland to Robert and Ellen Scott.

Beloved wife of the late Robin Stewart (1988). Loved mother of Ellen (Trevor). Cherished Nana of Isabel. 

Dear sister of Pearl (Alan) and the late Robert (Joy). Will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews John, Kerry, the late Jeremy, Tara, Aiden, Miles and their families, as well as extended many family members and friends.


Millar LaurettaMILLAR, Lauretta Jean Millar (nee Emslie)  –   Was born March 8th, 1921, the only child of Ernest and Mary Edith Ella; (nee Sheridan) Emslie. She spent most of her life around Guelph and area, and was best known by her middle name Jean. She attended school in Guelph and graduated high school and secretarial college. In her younger years she lived on College Heights, near the Agricultural College as her dad worked there in the area of animal husbandry. 

She married Gil Hammond on November 6, 1943 during the war. Her wedding dress was sewn by her mother and herself, out of silk. Gil who was in the army was able to get a well-used discarded parachute that became her wedding dress. After the war Jean and Gil moved to a small farm near Aberfoyle with some assistance from the government due to his war service overseas.


D’ARCHI, Joshua Michael  -  Passed away suddenly on November 27, 2017 at the age of 22.

Loving son of Michael and Darlene D’Archi of Belwood. He was the protector of his dear sister Becca. Cherished grandson of Mike and Rose D’Archi of Fergus and Diane Bragdon of Wasaga Beach. Forever loved by his girlfriend BreAnna Walter and her family.

Josh will be remembered by Aunt Elaine(David), Uncles Richard(Deanna), Anthony(Amanda) and Karlo and their families. Josh will be forever missed by his extended family Dan and Helen Gadomski, Rob and Tammy Campbell, Phil and Alaina Lewis, Wayne and Janet Lewis and all their families. Missing Josh is his best friend Tim Kerr and many others. King Louie is lost without you.


James DianaJAMES, Diana  -  It is with a great deal of sadness that the James Family announces the passing of our dear Diana on Monday, November 27, 2017. She lit up our lives and touched everyone, brightening up their world. Surely to be missed, but never to be forgotten.

Born in Hamilton, Diana was the daughter of Jack and Pearl Matthews. She cherished spending time with her husband Al, children Karen and Cheryl, sister Katherine and grandchildren Kyla and Evan.

Diana worked as a secretary at Willow Road Public School in Guelph for 24 years.

Beloved husband of Jean for 29 years. 

He is survived by his daughters Anne Marshall, Karen Vacik, step-father of Peter, Ann Marie (Stewart Pellat) and grandfather to three grandchildren. He is survived by siblings Allan Marshall (Kathleen) and Margaret (Don McFarlane).

He is predeceased by his first wife Katherine and their son Andrew, parents Robert and Margaret Marshall and brother Robert Marshall.


Bell CecilBELL, Cecil  -  Of Waterloo, passed away peacefully at The Village of University Gates, Waterloo on Sunday, November 26, 2017 after living a wonderful 99 years!

Cec, as he was known, was born in a farmhouse just south of Stayner, Ontario, on March 13, 1918 to Ernest and Jennie Bell. Survived by Sylvia Bell (Purdy), his loving wife of 74 years and their two sons, Don and Rick, four grandchildren, Lauren, Taylor, Trevor and Bronwyn and a recent great-granddaughter, Taylor.

After serving his country with the R.C.A.F. in WWII, he continued his 43 year banking career with the T.D. Bank.

Born in Windsor Mills, Quebec, son of Claire and Gerald, Michel lived a life like no other. He was a man of passions: guitar, fishing and Portage. He touched souls and transformed lives with his therapeutic skills, music and personality. He was a man of loyalty, honesty and family, who cared about everyone and everything. Especially travel and Les Canadiens. Michel could light up a room. And he could ignite or put out a fire. Michel loved and inspired love in so many.
