LEON, Tyler Charles  -  Today I lost my husband, Tyler Charles Leon, who was 54 years young.        

You will be missed by your dad Charles Leon, Sr., mom Barbara Leon, brothers Chuck and Terrance, sister Pam and the rest of our families.        

You are now in heaven with Mame and GG so until we meet again, I love you and will miss you on earth but I know you are happy now.

Tyler worked for 13 years at Grand River Transit and loved his job.

 

WIDEMAN, Mary Ann (Martin)  -  Peacefully passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Barnswallow Place, Elmira, at the age of 105 years.

She was predeceased by her first husband of 34 years, Alvin S. Weber (1970) and her second husband of 30 years, Manassah Wideman (2002).

She is survived by her children Oscar (Erla) Weber, Melinda (Homer) Martin, Alice (Earl) Martin, Clayton (Anna) Weber, Enoch (Dorothy) Weber, Verna Weber, Paul (Shirley) Weber; 19 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren; brothers Enoch, Herman and Amsey (Leona) Martin. Also survived by her stepdaughter Elvina Diefenbacher, stepsons Amsey (Erla) Wideman and Menno (Florence) Wideman, and their families.

 

Miller BillMILLER, Bill  -  Of Listowel, at Listowel Memorial Hospital, Mr. William Harvey Miller, on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, in his 85th year.

Bill was born and raised in Walkerton but spent most of his life in Toronto where he worked in the High Voltage Electrical Field. He pioneered in safe energized high voltage maintenance procedures and work methods, where he trained Electrical Company Linemen from coast to coast.

Upon his retirement in 1990, he settled in Crawford (Hanover/Walkerton area). It was here he met his wife Marjorie (Meyers) Fizell and moved to Listowel where they have continued to reside.

 

Palach TonyPALACH, Tony  -  Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at University Gates, Waterloo on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at the age of 64 after a valiant battle with Multiple Systems Atrophy. His firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.

Tony was born on February 26, 1953 in Kitchener, Ontario to Helen and Walter Palach. He first met the love of his life, Jolanda, in grade school and later married her in 1979.  Together they raised three beautiful children.

Tony is survived by his wife Jolanda, children Jennifer Mihas (Saki), Kimberley and Michael, grandchildren Marcus and Elle, parents Helen and Walter, brothers John (Donna) and Randy (Cathy), sisters Bonnie Rajcak (Eric), Susan Palach (Cindy) as well as several nieces and nephews.

Beloved wife of Ron Busch for 53 years. Loved mother and best friend of Lorrie Busch. She will also be fondly remembered by her brother Ray Maecker (Judy), her sister-in-law Dorothy Hein (Edgar) and her niece and nephews.

Beloved husband of Helen (nee Peterson) for 47 years. Loving father of Jason of Kitchener, Nolan (Tricia) of Nanaimo and Corey at home. Dear Grandpa/Opa to Cassidy, Reilley, Erik, Alen and Lorelai. 

He will be sadly missed by his siblings; Marlene Vollmer of Constance Bay, Dianne Maurice (late Brian) of Nelson, Shelley Baer of Salmo and David (Brenda) of Kitchener. Brother-in law to Karen Gormley (late Bill) of Sombra, Carl Peterson (Kate) of Goderich as well as his nieces and nephews; Jacque, Janette, Michael, Stephen, Darryl, Danielle, Matthew, Ed, Brad, Chuck, Christine and Susan.

 

Graff StevenGRAFF, Steven Robert Donald  -  Passed away on August 8 2017 at the age of 45, at Hospice Wellington with his loving wife Leah by his side.

Dear Dad of Miranda and Nolan.

Steven was the son of Robert and Caroline(Jo) Graff, son-in-law of Ken and Isobel Hodge and brother of Cindy and Connie(Paul) and their children Corrine, Connor and Tym. He will be greatly missed by his cousin and best friend Dwayne(Lisa).

Steve will be remembered by his friends from his Abell Pest Control family.

Mother was pre-deceased by her husbands, Carl James Small (2017), Kenneth Ewart Kerr (1971) and by her eldest son Robert Kerr (2014) and his wife Helen (2016).

She will be deeply missed by her loving sons David (Debbie) and Blair (Ginnie); her grand-children Kristen Stuart (Andrew), Aaron Kerr (Stephanie), Robbie Kerr (Angela), Andrew Kerr (LeeAnne), Christopher Oates (Kelly); her great grand-children Ethan Kerr, Eisley and Mavis Stuart, Elam Kerr and Talan Oates; Carl’s children Carla Huggins (Gary), Steven Small (Michele) and Carl’s grandchildren, Whitney Dillon (Geoff) and Lauren Ehrlich (Adam).

 

Grieco AngeloGRIECO, Angelo Arcangelo Donato - Loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed away unexpectedly on August 8, 2017 after a wonderful day at Longpoint.

Survived by his wife, Carol; sons Daniel, Mike, Dan and their families; brother, Vittorio (Maria) and family; and his sisters Anna, and Maria and her family. Predeceased by his sister, Lina.

Angelo enjoyed a big plate of pasta, a bottle of red wine, and a good poker game. He will be missed.

She is survived by her brother Donald Akehurst. Along with the many people whose lives she touched throughout her lifetime as a teacher, traveller and parishioner at St. John's, she will be remembered with love by Fany Karolidis.

 

BRUNGER, Jean Helen (Pinder) - Passed away peacefully with family by her side in her 92nd year on Monday, August 7th, 2017 at St Joseph's Health Centre, Guelph.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Pat in 1970. Survived by her sister Mary Thompson of Chatsworth, Ontario. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her brothers John, Roy, Robert (Bob) and Don.

 

Hyndman SallyHYNDMAN, Sally  -  Passed away peacefully on Monday, August 7, 2017 at the age of 97. She was a happy, loving, and smart woman who enjoyed baking, knitting, and gardening. 

She was pre-deceased by her parents Ella and William Munroe, husbands Bram Sr. Bateman and Keith Hyndman, brothers William, Johnny, and Rory, sisters Mary (Angus) MacDonald, Marg, and J.B. Adshade, sons Robert (Billie), Doug, Ted, Bram, and Mel, daughter June Munroe, and her grandson Brett Bateman.

Sally is survived by her sisters Charlotte and Babes Cameron, and sisters-in-law Joyce Munroe and Ui Bateman.

Lorna was born in Bradford, England daughter of the late Herbert and Ada Greenwood and came to Canada in 1949.

She is survived by her three children, Pamela Reeve (David), Cynthia Barker (Larry) and Bryan Schmidt (Anne). Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Hughes TedHUGHES, Rev. Fr. Edward Joseph 'Ted' - Reverend Edward Joseph Hughes died peacefully on August 4, 2017, the feast of St. John Vianney (Patron Saint of priests), in the loving care of family and close friends at home, in Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Waterloo, where he served as pastor from June, 2014 to the present.

Fr. Ted was born on June 21, 1957 in Hamilton where he grew up and was ordained a priest on May 8, 1982.

In addition to Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, he served at St. Dominic Parish, Oakville, Our Lady Immaculate Parish, Guelph, Sts. Peter and Paul Parish, Hamilton, and St. Anthony Daniel Parish, Scotland.
