DOWNIE, Gordon 'Gord' Edgar - (February 6th, 1964 – October 17th, 2017) -
We lost a true Canadian icon, talented poet and musician.
His words and lyrics spoke to everyone, coast to coast and across the miles.
A man who was so proud of his children and his family.
His support of our friends in the North and his story of Chanie Wenjack touched the lives of so many.
Through the past two years, Gord’s dedication to this cause never wavered and his legacy is left with the knowledge to continue with his work.
