Langham BillLANGHAM, Bill  - (1930 - 2017) - With heavy hearts but many wonderful memories, we announce Bill slipped away on a sunny December 13th, 2017.

He is survived by his wife Ann, son Paul (Janice) daughter Andrea (James) by his sister Tricia and by his many nieces and nephews here and in England.

Bill was born in Worthing, Sussex and at age 17, he joined the British Merchant Navy, travelling around the world at least 10 times. His proudest achievement was becoming a Chef on the Queen Mary Liner.

His next adventure, after leaving the MN, was to emigrate to Canada (the best country in the world he said) where he met and married Ann. They started their family in Toronto then moved to Bethany in 1974.

After Bill's retirement from Sealtest/Ault Foods, he had time to write and he became a prolific novelist as well as the set designer for Manvers Amateur Dramatic Society and Ann's "Donkey" in the garden.

In keeping with Bill's wishes, cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the STODDART FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 24 Mill St., Lindsay K9V 2L1 (705-324-3205) on Thursday, December 21st from 1:00 P.M. until time of family tributes to begin at 2:00 P.M.

If desired, please make donations in Bill's memory to St. Thomas/St. Mary's and write St. Mary's Chapel, Lifford on the subject line.

Online condolences may be directed to stoddartfuneralhome.com

The family would like to thank the RMH-Palliative Care Unit where Bill received exceptional care, Dr. Naomi Ecob who unfailingly visited Bill every day and our lovely friends who supported us through this sad time.
