Thurston MargaretTHURSTON, Margaret VanVlack (nee Smith)  - Passed away peacefully at the Extendicare Kawartha Lakes in Lindsay on Sunday, December 24, 2017.

Margaret, in her 98th year, was the devoted and beloved wife of Lorne S. Thurston and was predeceased by her first husband Fred C. Long (1995).

She was the loving mother of David (Heidi) and Judith (Ted DeVries) and step-mother of Wayne (Wendy) and Nancy (Phil Johnson).

She was the proud grandmother of Stephanie, Jeffrey, Paul, Andrew, Katy, Matthew and Amy and great grandmother of seven.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents John Smith and Jean Cameron and by her siblings Ann Black, Isabel Williamson, Murray and Jack Smith. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Margaret's wishes, cremation has taken place. An intimate family gathering to celebrate Margaret's life will be held in the near future. Spring interment will take place in Acton, Ontario.
